I've been enjoying HTME's reboot series, and like, yeah, they talk and have filler in there a bit, but I also like that he's evolving beyond primitive as well (admittedly sourcing materials from offsite on more than a few occasions, but getting the base materials isn't the point of his show, so he just has to get enough to consider it unlocked on the tech tree on a base material), but I am also enjoying prim-tech channels like this one that stick with this and keep at the slow tech upgrades and sourcing only from their own territory, the way they would actually have to do it in the primitive methods

I love how you're learning as you go. Your builds never stay the same, they're always the same design, but better application every time around. I've seen the frond roofs, and the stakes in the ground, but it just feels like you're more confident and have better application because of all of the practice.
Ease up mate, those other channels are still building the same way, just with some power tools speed some stuff up like hole digging. Not as cool but still. My biggest issue with them making pools is that they never make them sustainable, as in you woul have to spend all day with a bucket to fill them and they get so dirty after one use. If they somehow plumbed them into a stream or river and back again they would be cool.

Well he clearly hasn't unlocked Animal Husbandry or Hunting on the tech tree yet, so no clothes for us. Besides, if he sold merch, it'd totally be tan cargo shorts.
What I really love even though it's briefly shown, the stuff he put the extra effort in terms of clay and such is fine after the fire, not much damage. He just moves it and stacks it aside. The rest, the building itself, is just something he can redo.
In the UK there are quite a few famous gardeners with "naturey" names. Alan Titchmarsh, Pippa Greenwood, Bob Flowerdew, etc (and ofc many without). People used to be given names based on their occupation or where they lived (Baker, Smith, etc) and I wondered if maybe these people were very close to the land and it passed on through their family line. So what I'm trying to say is, maybe his name is Plant because his ancestors were very "of the earth" and it's been passed on.

I think John Plant is a play on the name John Smith.
In the UK there are quite a few famous gardeners with "naturey" names. Alan Titchmarsh, Pippa Greenwood, Bob Flowerdew, etc (and ofc many without). People used to be given names based on their occupation or where they lived (Baker, Smith, etc) and I wondered if maybe these people were very close to the land and it passed on through their family line. So what I'm trying to say is, maybe his name is Plant because his ancestors were very "of the earth" and it's been passed on.
