Basically all wood is made of resin+carbon, this burns the resin but there is not enough oxygen nor enough heat to burn the carbon which then remains
Also a reason why we use charcoal compared to just burning wood is because it retains heat better and has less emissions.
Retains more heat = Gets Hotter
Less emissions = less foreign substances in what you cook.
But, if you're cooking barbecue, less heat and foreign substances are both very desirable.
GinHindew110 This also dries the wood though of course you can also do that by just storing it properly but it will still always have a bit of water.
Pyrolization - which is different than combustion.
And since the remaining carbon burns at a higher temperature, you are able to make a hotter fire with charcoal than with wood or even charcoal briquettes (there is a difference). It is much better for forging or making glass for instance.
Way better than meditation and chakras. Doing stuff like this will align things quicker & is more productive.

While im looking for a job this dude is building a city
Smurf Eli really? dude's smelting iron already, check out his other vids
He cant find any copper ore to make bronze with so he's skipping straight to iron.
Alief Adnan Yeah but the yield of usable iron is horribly low. It will take months, possibly years to accumulate enough iron for any useful project.
Where do I find the iron video/videos anyone?
Masocisa7538 check his channel, the title is "forge blower"
Is it just me? It's like i won the lotto when i watched a new video of him.

Finally, he remembered the password of his UA-cam account.

If you look at his videos he only posts one video a month, personally I think they are worth the wait with how hard he has to work on these projects.
you are damn right
博麗蒼真 he just gt access to internet bro
Nah he just finished building his pc made from clay, fibre and a little sweat
how long do you guys think before he's forging metal?
Schäfer , I was thinking his next move should be a pizza oven, but hey...
CapmOfTheSea well, in order to get the metal you gotta mine it, and that would be difficult for him
CapmOfTheSea he already did it in another video
Chris You could extract iron from dirt if you were desperate enough
Chris There is an iron producing slime in the creek or something that he used to get iron.
