I have osteoporosis and have my second fracture. Humorous basically shattered at head. My ortho followed me for 2 months and said the bone is not healing and I would need a shoulder replacement!!! We said let’s give it 3 more weeks. I started immediately on a compund. With the three hormones. I returned to ortho and he said on Xray it is healing! He say osteoclasts!!!! Follow up in 3 more weeks. I have been delivering it via skin right over the fracture site! I told him and he just smiled. He neither confirmed or denied that this was doing its job!!!! I am feeling better all over, mood, sleep anxiety all improving. I am 70 years old! Wish I had started it years ago. The medical community truly has done women a disservice!

I'm in so much pain 🥺. I have been cursed with the life of suffering.. hysterectomy at 32 not giving any hormones due to endometriosis.. it wasn't until later I got premarin vaginal cream.. 2018 I had a lumbar surgery, got worse 🥺 went to an ob-gyn who gave me progesterone for the first time. In 2019 nurse practitioner took me off to progesterone and said it took all the calcium out of your bones. I went downhill very fast after that. 2 years later another back surgery. Now I'm in so much pain I can't take it. My entire pelvis my back and legs are crushing me.. this whole time all I needed was the hormones. And nobody wants to give them to you 😭

Great talk. I’ve already shared it with 2 people. Is it too late for me, I’m 71?

I'm only 57 and I've been suffering since I was 46. Found out I have osteoporosis and nobody has done a thing about it 🥺

Somehow we have to take control of our health ourselves. We have to research it and demand what we need. At least we have the internet now, although it’s still not easy to get a simple answer about dosage.

What about cancer patients? I have been living with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer with metastasis to my lungs, brain and bones. I also have signs of osteoporosis and arthritis in my back. I have suffered 4 compression fractures in the past year due to the bone mets. I am trying to strengthen and rebuild my bones - which my doctor says is impossible. I disagree. My oncologist is pushing for anti-estrogen drugs (Femara) because in 2017 my original diagnosis was hormone positive. I am post menopausal. I know that cancers can change over time as your body changes, cells change and turnover and treatment modalities change the cancer composition. I want my hormones tested to see if my cancer is still hormone driven before I take a drug that will stop me from producing hormones because I know the importance of hormones in our body. Any help or suggestions?

Can HRT help women 65 or older? Is it to late by then?

Chemotherapy treatment is what gave me osteoporosis.

A combination of things for me I think, but chemo, sudden menopause and very little sleep since both of those things will have contributed to my bone loss. I was triple negative for breast cancer but have been told I can't take HRT because of it. HRT was my first thought when I realised that I didn't want to take the bisphosphonates.
