I am 75 and have been denied hormones since I was taken off it when I was 52 because of the studies saying it could cause breast cancer. I have ask countless if I could get hormones again and have been told no every time. I think this is archaic and if this applied to men I guarantee the men would be getting it.

If you are still healthy, no pre-diabetic, etc a menopause society practitioner would likely be okay with putting u back on. The problem is that as u get older and aging goes on the risk of estrogen goes up if u have existing heart disease etc. That's why my mother is denied. She was on hrt, they told her to stop after the WHI was released and now in her later 70s she wants back on but she now is pre-diabetic, with hypertension, etc. So it's too risky now.

When I was 16, a birth control was prescribed for me that was so bad for my body, that when I stopped taking it 1 year later, my menstrual cycle ceased to exist FOR 17 years! During this 17 year period, I had 0 estrogen in my body, and zero monthly bleeds. Fast forward to age 29, I was able to have my son with insemination and hormones. After birth, still no periods. At the age of 32, my DEXA showed osteopenia. My doctor told me it is because I drink coca-cola! At the age of 34, my cyles resolved on their own, currently I am 49, still having periods. Because I wanted HRT for my bones and overall health, I had a DEXA 2 months ago: my bones are in the normal range. Moral of the story: estrogen-when in the bosy, DOES build and maintain bone. My current doctor is still telling me that bone do not rebuild.

I developed severe histamine intolerence and vaginal bacterial overgrowth (strong fishy odour) after 10 months of missed period. These are all signs of microbiome dysbiosis. I started HRT and within a month everything was well regulated again. No more misery from itchy skin and smelly underwear. I always wonder how my friends cope without HRT. I was definitely miserable.

I had a hysterectomy at 47. I am now 69 with osteoporosis! Also, I now have a T12 fracture and a partial hip replacement, which happened after the T12. Would HRT help instead of drugs? Thanks Judy

OP drugs are not ideal, however for anyone receiving pharmaceutical treatment whether anabolic or anti-resorpative, is there any advantage to simultaneous HRT treatment?

I just started vivelle dot patch and 100 mg progesterone. I wanted to start out slowly and let my body get used to the new hormones. I am 65 started peri menopause at about 47-48.
I got my first dexa scan and it says osteoporosis. Doctor just sent a rx for fosamax. I refused to start it once I started researching. I think I have strong bones as I have always been active and used to lift weights
Is it ok to start on this with the vivelle Patch and oral progesterone then once my body is used to that, then switch to pellets possibly with testosterone?????
I watched your video on vibration plates. I can’t afford the marodyne as it’s 3,000$. I’m going to research a less expensive one if available. Thank you for that video. My friend has one of those and uses it almost daily.

Pellets are not the same as estrogen. A lot of people get too much testosterone via pellets and you feel miserable

Does Medicare cover the blood work for the entire panel including testosterone and all the other things they should test for in hormones and thyroid?
I can’t find any bio identical doctors here inthe Bay Area that take a Medicare supplemental for the office visits. I’m on the best, a supplemental policy and original Medicare.
I know it doesn’t cover the pellets under the fat, but some drug plans cover the vivelle dot patch and the progesterone.
