    The vast majority of people do not respond well to the Alfredson protocol

      It is an insane amount of load. Each person should have a clinical relevant level of load that moves the needle on recovery. It is going to vary considerably. What have you experienced with patients/clients? I've personally never prescribed this much load, always felt like too much.

      @MovementProjectPT I've spoken with several highly regarded physiotherapists who told me what they know about the Alfredson protocol. It worked for Dr Alfredson when he had achilles tendinopathy, but in the vast majority of people, it does not work.
      Apparently, the Swedish mentality is to overdo it when it comes to sports training and rehab. There have been many promising young Swedish track and field athletes who have had their careers cut short by chronic injury due to over training under Swedish coaches
