Also; I’ve found “3” games to recommend that I think you may like… 0.5) Firewatch - I’ve seen a lot of others say it here, but it’s a profound game. Nothing more to add, honestly. 1) SOMA - Since Firewatch has been mentioned a lot, I think SOMA is an excellent choice as well. It’s labeled a “horror game” but it goes much deeper than that - no cheap jumpscares. It’s very psychological and makes you question a lot about humanities future. Trippy. 2) Ori or Hollow Knight - both have an amazing art style that I think would look great on the Deck, and they pack great gameplay & storytelling as well. 3) Risk of Rain 2 - a bit different than the others but I think it’d play very well on the Steam Deck. Insanely good gameplay.

Outer Wilds was teh first game I played on Steam Deck (first playthrough as well) and it ran really well locked to 40fps with a mix of medium and high settings. Awesome game.
That's cool to know. The game is kinda CPU-heavy too because of all the simulations and it's good to know it works fine on the Deck. It'll be a good way to have more people to play this awesome game :)

If you haven't played Hollow Knight, DO IT! I had never played any Metroidvanias of any kind before giving it a go on Switch, but absolutely loved it. It's also made by a super small team (3 people), and is so so cheap. But if it was 3 times the cost I would still recommend it.
I started playing Hollow Knight on my sisters switch but she took it back before I could finish 🥲 Loved it though, will have to replay it on the steam deck 😄 Thanks for the suggestion my man!

I just played through Firewatch yesterday after your recommendation and it was a ton of fun! What a mindbender. I keot thinking I had things figured out and then they’d twist and turn. Super engaging story!
2 months late, but your chill vibes have earned you another subscriber. Btw I just got my deck less than a week ago and I highly recommend Cloudpunk, can't get enough of it.
NieR Automata has completely flipped me from being a MMO/multiplayer only gamer back into a single player gamer. Been stuck in a gaming rut lately not interested in much but Dead Cells is always something I can pick up on steam deck now and just have a good time in. I've also been getting further in Ender Lilies now that I've got the Deck. Turns out I like some metroidvania style games despite having never played Metroid or Castlevania and having no interest in those.
If you really like story games, I'd definitely recommend playing Road 96, it's a really great story game (at least I think) and the gameplay itself is nice and smooth, and it has some pretty cool twists and turns :)
I have been really enjoying Skyrim lately on the deck. It is rated just playable, yet it runs like a dream. one of my favorite games made portable without some crappy watered down version like the switch had. 10/10
all these games look amazing i cant wait for my deck reservation to start trying them all out, im especially intrigued by the first card related game. would be great if you did another video like this in the future.

Ok, I'd like to congratulate you. Your production value in this video is fantastic and high level. Keep doing what you're doing and you're going to be a BIG TIME UA-camr!
I've been on the edge about Inscryption and Nier Automata for quite some time now, but you sure made a very compelling case for both (now in my wishlist, will take them for sure next time they're discounted). As for recommandations, I will add The Witness and The Pathless to the list of must play on Steam Deck.

I started playing Hollow Knight on my sisters switch but she took it back before I could finish 🥲 Loved it though, will have to replay it on the steam deck 😄 Thanks for the suggestion my man!
Don't listen to them dude, call it what you want. keep up the good work 👏
"The Steam Deck…my favorite console” haha - subscribed. 😊
Great vid! I don't even own a deck (yet), but I really like your content and your style! Can't wait to try those games!
Thank you so much man! Ah these games are still so great on console or PC. Have a blast!
The fuckin joy I felt seeing the “K” next to your subscriber count, followed by the laugh when I saw the beginning of the video hahaha. Some amazing videos dude!
Ahh thanks so much for being here dude! Much appreciated 😄
I would recommend as a quick pick me up game would be Into the breach. 2 hours will just pass by in a snap of a finger. Ryse:Son of Rome for the gladitorial mind numbing combat too
YES. These are the type of games that I have been looking for!
I just got my Q3 steam deck finally about 2 weeks ago now and this list is perfect for some new games to play thanks man!
pretty cool seeing someone this great get 14.5k more subscribers withing 12 months. This content is great!
Great video dude :) just got my mail for the steam deck so cant wait to play these two games on a handheld:
Hollow knight & Hades for sure!
Quality is on point. Keep it up 🙂
Thanks for the upload!
Thank you for the comment 😄
Great video dude, thanks for your recommendations!!!
I'm playing dragon quest xi on my steam deck. Love it!!
Your content is awesome - easy to watch/listen to and just seems real and not fake and overly "influency" (not a word - made that up).
Thank you so much man, I really appreciate that 🙏 I hope you have a great day 😊
Hey Mike! I caught wind of your channel in your last steam deck video (as a lot of us did haha). But anyways, I was blown away by your level of quality and chill personality (cozy vibes haha) and I'm so excited to see your future videos and your inevitable channel growth! (instant sub!). Excited to check out *all* of these games for my new steam deck! Especially Nier and inscryption! Thx for the recommendations! Keep up the fantastic work and have a great day, mate! Cheers!
Agreed 100%. He’s got quite the bright future the way I look at it… and we’re here while he’s at 1k subs ;)
Hey man! How's it going? Ahh dude thank you so, so much. I really do appreciate you taking the time out to write such a kind comment 😄 So glad its coming across okay 🙏 Sweet! Lemme know how you get on with Nier and Inscrption 😊 Have a great day man, catch you soon
I just played through Firewatch yesterday after your recommendation and it was a ton of fun! What a mindbender. I keot thinking I had things figured out and then they’d twist and turn. Super engaging story!
Enjoying the videos and i have to say your camera work and lighting is totally on point!!
Thank you so much my dude 🙏🏼😄
2 months late, but your chill vibes have earned you another subscriber. Btw I just got my deck less than a week ago and I highly recommend Cloudpunk, can't get enough of it.
Getting mine this week!! 🥳
These videos are very pro quality, I can’t wait to watch this channel absolutely explode
If you really like story games, I'd definitely recommend playing Road 96, it's a really great story game (at least I think) and the gameplay itself is nice and smooth, and it has some pretty cool twists and turns :)
Thanks so much for the suggestion man! I've never heard of Road 96, looks great though! Will definitely get round to playing that soon 😊
@@mike.barnes No problem! Hope you have fun with it :D
Agreed! Road 96 was a very nice surprise of a game with a great soundtrack.
Hey man! How’re you doing? Glad you like my picks 😄 Ahh mate you’re going to love Inscription. Suuuch a well made game. Lemme know if you end up playing it! Definitely going to do some more videos like this soon 😊
@@mike.barnes what size deck did you get?
Great recommendations Mike. Thank you! 😊
My pleasure! 😄
Nier automata is a masterpiece in every way.
