After speaking with petron the batteries need to be recalibrated and to do that you have to drain the battery down to zero and charged back up to 100% this recalibrates the battery so it reads correctly on the meter
Did that already, does not work..... *This does work on a normal working battery, but remember, this battery we were having some trouble with it because of that chip inside ;) P.S. And that "hold down the power button for 50 seconds to hard reset it" 100% should have been in that owner's manual without question.....
Interesting indeed. If this works how would their engineer not know? I mean they are sending you a replacement battery. If this is the case you think they would tell you to reset like your cable company does with your router. It's kinda elementary stuff. I hope it works and you get a extra battery for your aggravation.
This is a bit of information that 100% should have been in that owner's manual (if it is true.....) P.S. This is at the top of the list like the "SECRET HIDDEN MENU" we found 2 years ago. TESTING NOW :) P.P.S. Right? Think of the money saved by shipping a 65 pound (UN3480) battery back and forth..
We agree. P.S. We knew that anything programmed can be re-programmed with a certain back door access. But trying to figure this out for yourself can be very tough and time consuming. P.P.S. This 100% should have been in that owner's manual for just this situation.
This resetting is for only the battery ?. Or does it also effect the sensor in the head unit (the E3600 station) ?. I would think that if you could get everything (head unit and all batteries to +100 %) this is supposed to reset the bms and charge controller in all. Just commenting on this because now you have even a greater difference between the batteries.
That is what we are trying right now. charging to full status and seeing what happens next. This is all trial and error P.S. The difference in the batteries is "NOT REAL"..... That is the whole point of these videos. It "THINKS" that is the correct percentage for the battery, when the volt-meter tested voltage clearly shows a different percentage number than what was being reported ;) *The voltage in all 5 pieces are 100% the same....We tested them all already through the open ports :) P.P.S. We will keep everybody updated :)
How can the stored energy in the battery go from 57 percent to zero percent, by pressing and holding a button, that's against the laws of electricity. Sound like a software problem...
It's not a software problem. And the energy did not go anywhere. The battery calibration chip "THINKS" it is at a certain state of charge. This is why we are resetting it, to re-correct that. When you Re-calibrate it, you are re-correcting it, but you have to max out and fully charge it to be able to re-calibrate it using there shunt inside (Filling the whole system now) P.S. We just did not know that there was a way to reset these batteries for the last 2 years....This 100% should have been in the owner's manual to help people with this. P.P.S. Kinda like police have to Re-calibrate their speed radar all the time so the are 100% accurate in court, or their radar is not 100% correct and their speed will be off on your ticket ;) *Hence...You were really not driving that speed they said you were.... NOTE: You should 100% fully charge a battery and re-calibrate the system at least once a week to keep the cells and meter at 100% correct ;) -----> Learned that from DIY with Will's channel
@@RamblinBobReviews As I have said before Pecron should hire you as their "CEO" for North American operations. Thanks for your time and effort making these videos...
I have definitely learned many many things about their systems in the last 2 years, that's for sure....LOL P.S. Glad that we have the scriber family so we can all learn together :)
That's what I'm saying !!!!! P.S. If this is true, it should have been in that darn owner's manual years ago.... (Could have helped 1,000's of people out there)
@RamblinBobReviews yea I'm wondering could that also work for the eb2000. You know I still have the flashing red light on one of my eb3000 connected to the 2nd gen 2000lfp when it gets full
Oh yeah, forgot about that. That was a long time ago you mentioned that. If ours works with resetting the EP3000, then just maybe it would help you with your issue..... *FINGERS CROSSED* P.S. We will report back here as soon as we have more info :)

@@RamblinBobReviews Oh, ok, I forgot about that from your other video
No worries, We are all on the same team trying to figure this out :)
