R&L - I really enjoy these types of videos and this format. I’ve been playing for 40yrs and have never gotten lore on these devils. Thank you for doing the work of finding the limited amount of lore and then presenting it in such a consumable fashion. Your 9 Hells series has been riveting.

    Great video.
I think two gulthirs devouring complimentary magic items could be fun. They each have their own abilities and when they are within 30 feet if each other they gain new abilities and cooperative attacks.

Zariel!!! Such great lore. Her sword is like Holy Avenger, for non-Palladins.

I remember reading about the Anti-Paladin and an Unholy Reaver in the late 70s or early 80s. Wonder if it drew upon that lore.

Well done video, I really enjoy your lore videos! And since baldurs gate 3 came out it has renewed my interest in dnd!

Great video I wish the Monster Manual V had a picture of the gulthir with its jaw extended; I find it hard to imagine what it would look like

@@RichesandLiches I was thinking about this and then I remembered the video of “come to Daddy” by Aphex Twin they’ve kind of got a Gulthir in there if you’ve never seen the video it’s worth seeing

Quality video, as we've come to expect. Other people's lore videos just don't hit the same after these.

Great video and I enjoy hearing about the more hidden devils. Can you do a video on Xerfilstyx?

They are absolutely on my hit list.. they will be detailed in both volume 6 of the nine hells series and will get its own Forgotten Fiends volume... when will be determined by each of you in the polls, so be sure to vote! :)

11.40 is a great picture of a giant/ghoul type monster.
    Slight intellect and voracious hunger.
I'm not big on devils and demons. I think there is far enough to terrorize players without them. But some enjoy this kind of thing. I think it limits the campaigns. It's hard for me to imagine deep play in this atmosphere.

This type of video is my jam. Bless ya for making it.
This video was made a while ago, but if you are still taking suggestions for forgotten fiends to cover, I suggest the Bueroza (Steel Devil). They have really cool mechanics and look very odd compared to other Baatezu.

Maybe do a video on the chain devils/kyton/velstrac though possibly looking into their pathfinder lore given its I think better then the dnd version given they are type of fiend seperate from the devils for the most part and from what I can tell more extensive lore
As for other actual dnd creatures erynes and their unique transformations like the brachina
Or some of the less talked about dragon types such as orium (sadly lacking in lore), iron, shadow, non 5e deep dragon/purple dragon types (deep, psyonic and red/blue hybrids) etc

    • @RichesandLiches
      @RichesandLiches  Рік тому

      All great suggestions.
Will definitely spotlight the Kyton at some point... but want to get the more obscure ones some light first.
And once I get the 5 primary chromatic dragons complete, will definitely dive into the more obscure!
      Great feedback!

I think your lore itself is good and i enjoy it, but intros are too long. This video actually starts at 7:30min in. New people coming across your videos might tune out before the lore starts. I have watched some of your videos and it feels consisted problem. Like i said, lore is good and nice to listen to, so let it carry your videos as that is you strong suit.
Remember that youtube gives you analytics, use them if you can.

You are 100% correct... that was part of my learning process within the YT ecosystem. Many others have also mentioned this and I have tried to improve in this area.
If you happen to watch any of the newer videos I would be truly interested in your feedback and opinion regarding whether or not you think this has improved.
