Well, you cannot blame the bard. I think all men have fallen in love with an Evil Lich, and we still loved them after we knew they were an evil lich! Lol
Riches Liches you DO them proud given us a a glimpse into their origins of them an how far a person will go to achieve Dangerous lich power honor is your.
You've done it again Rich. I would like to see you DM a campaign. I would enjoy your unique style of storytelling.

Very cool story! I really enjoyed your addendum to the lore! Well done! I got the feeling from the story that the Bard chose to stay with her and requested undeath so he could spend forever with her. I felt also that at some point she tired of him and now he is just another undead in her service but still longs for her and does whatever he can to draw her eye once more. I guess however when the lore goes on, he is actually dead, so I was mistaken :)
"And even... more enemies." The shambling of a leather robed lady appears. "Other gods... and among the liches, themselves... the servants always... in it for... themselves."
Vecna- Minions we're having a multidimensional conclave Lich- I just started this epic spell.... it's gunna be about 183 days before I can come Lich- ooooo, not gunna be able to make it V-dawg, raincheck? Lich- I'm super busy spying on the descendants of my arch nemesis and am just about to spring this plot, no chance Baelnorn- Why am I in this chat? Lich- GTFO BAELNORN, don't worry V, I'll be there (not gunna be there 100%) Fast forward to the conclave, it's Vecna, 2 liches, a couple candy apples, and a piece of string in attendance
Here’s my, slightly longer, version of the poem that also foreshadows some of her more tragic character elements: In castle depths where shadow creeps, Lies the lady Lich who never sleeps. With her ballroom veiled in gloom, Unveiled by moon and its crescent bloom. When twilight shrouds the sun’s last flare And the clock hands point to evenings prayer. Her dance begins, her waltz of dread, In time with souls of countless dead. The ticking of a clock unseen, She waits for you at stroke thirteen. Yet venture forth with heed and care, Dare you enter her ghastly lair? Pure as once she may have seemed, Her soul unmade by one yet gleamed. The shadowed hand and whispered lies Doth spell for her, a dark demise. Made a slave to her king’s land And tortured by a silent hand. Upon return, her husband passed And to the throne she laid claim fast. From mortal flesh, to undead bone. From noble rule to a hollow throne. From the breath of whispered death, Came the fall of lady Osterneth.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos Rich. I have played many games of D&D as various classes and characters and would love to have you as a DM for a campaign.
Never forget even her final death is not the end imagine the PC's horror when they destroy her and then the Wispered One appears and resserect her into a new stronger unlife ya see Vecna can do that with such a useful servant and remember she has in her chest the Heart of Vecna just remember a being with such a powerful master like that is nigh impossible to kill
Just so you knpw you lore evil playlist is backwards, it plays volume 7 then volume 6. Not sure if this is intended or an error on my end. Just thought id let you know.
The Bronze Lich is my favorite lich story up to date!
I love these videos during work I listen and then go play baldurs gate.

I'm using her as a villian in my upcoming spelljammer campaign. This was so good. Thank you.

Great video! Since Vecna has servants like this on every world, I wonder what a big, multidimensional conclave would look like. Thats alot of liches.

She reminds me of Chlorr of the Mask from the Old Kingdom Series
