No question about it...the most lovable sailing couple on youtube. Renovations look great! You two work as a team so well. Love from the Maine Coast.
Such a fun video. 👍⛵ your vids alway leave me with a smile on my face. ❤
This episode brought to you by the Scots word "Driech"..... Still the weather's ace now so hopefully you're enjoying the improvement as we get towards Spring. April May is fab! Wee whisky tour sail around the inner Hebridean islands will start your sailing year off with a kick!
They will soon have those bra bricht moonlicht nichts the nicht.
That is definately scottish jan/feb weather..worst 2 month of the year to be west coasting it..lovely to see you both 👊🏻👍🏻
Storm Isha and the one that followed quickly on its heels hit me too at Craobh Haven down the coast. I had move my berth to a more sheltered one...Bill
So glad the West Coast weather is being kind to you 😂 You have to take what you get weatherwise in Scotland. Millie's looking good. Hope the heater is working ok.
Wow, you have to love it when a plan comes together! The renovation really looks fantastic!
Storms are so exhilarating! As long as you have the right clothes and your boat is undamaged, life is great!
Great job, hats off. Now relax and enjoy yourselves!
The new area looks just lovely!! Well done. And such a better use of space. Cheers from eastern Pennsylvania, USA.
That looks like a very practical and very beautiful solution!
simple pleasures .... when things come together so nicely. cheers from our home-remodeling, too.
Longer videos please 🙏 ❤ it’s great to see you both again. Those storms and wind were intense. Glad you checked all the lines.
Nice job Guys !! 👍🏻 I like the French Canadian Lumberjack look Adam, toque and all. Thanks 😊
With all that experience under your belt, for your next trick: build a Scottish Bothy (the original small house) in the North Western Highlands! Cheers and whiskey. After seeing the weather, now I know why my ancestors were encouraged to migrate to Australia in 1800.
It looks great!!! Wow, I'm so impressed!!! You both so great work!!! Thanks for sharing the process and never apologize for the mess, it's all part of the build and life aboard!!! Are those winter storms that have names? Prayers, love and hugs our dear friends 🙏❤️🤗
Great job plus putting up with the storms, my shed started leaking after the first one. At least the roof is still on.
I love watching your videos. It does my heart good to see you two working together so well.
Just a qick tip for next time. They also sell a drill bit to match up with the plug cutter. It drills the pilot hole and the plug hole in one go. Just a little faster.
great job kids...you are getting there for sure.
Great video of repair’s on sailboat ⛵️! Mike from Missouri! Mike from Missouri
Good to see you're not frozen.
Fantastic job guys looks fantastic, I like watching your videos you make it fun wish I still had my boat
Good job. Good idea to remove the chair at the nav station and replace with a box. Might do the same on our boat
Nice work you two! Especially like your jumping all over each other!
Legends! Well done
What can I say? Except job well done. Plus there’s nothing like a storm to get the blood flowing.
Great job. Those storms were exasperating and we didn't escape them here either on the East Coast of England near Harwich.
Don't complain about the boots, you should have seen mine! And where I live, water is cut off in the winter, hopefully back after easter. We just have surviive. Waint until you shall spend a winter in Norway. Where I live :-)
You matched everything up so perfectly that you'd never be able to tell that it's a modification. Looks aesthethically perfectly fitting for the rest of the boat! and such an awesome solution to add more seating and more storage!
There's quite a fetch there across from Oban, I'm surprised boats are in the water let alone the pontoons. A great improvement to your salon. The heater looks good, I notice Alluring Arctic Sailing have a steel mesh barrier beside their stove, that allows the space beside the heater to be used for drying whilst keeping things from contact with the heater.
Wow you get some rough weather where you are at right now. Hopefully once winter's over it will settle down. The work you have done is terrific. White cushion finish I don't think will stay clean I suspect you'll be changing that? Your boats going to look beautiful. Nice video and it's great seeing you both so upbeat and smiling away. catch you next video
Ever been to Scotland in summer ? 🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧🌦🌧🌧🌧🌧🌤🌧🌧🌧
Yes I have a few times. Isle of Skye@@ducthman4737
love your videos, but this one I consider one of your best! Awesome job! 👍
Good job, it looks original from the factory. Cheers
yay, more space to put tools and things on it, during boat work 😂
In spite of the limited workspace and tools I would say this was a perfect! A+ to the Falcon team!
Beautiful job! One thing we did to make a wider sleeping space is instead of creating a back cushion for the whole berth, we used sleeping pillows with nice shams for seat backs. Then you use those for when you are sleeping and you get more room in the berth. Another great video and congratulations on surviving those storms. Namaste. 🙏
Looks absolutely beautiful and the workmanship is just perfect! You have both smashed it !
They build pubs for rainy days like that. And Oban has a number of them (unless the inhabitants have all gone tee-total since I lived there).
Well done guys. That looks more like it's original to the boat than the old chairs and table you had there. Much more practical. And considering the tools you were working with, it looks like professional joinery.
Great job, and it looks awesome. Love your channel.
Looks great you two! Nice work.
Well done guys!
Nicely done.
Great job you guys did
Skilled work! 😊
Great job.
Great job guys! Open up a little sailboat remodeling shop somewhere in Oz when (and if) you cease sailing. Maybe somewhere alomg The Kimberly coast? I hear they need some settlers there.(HAHA)
Nice job!
Awsome job and even more incredible with the limited tools you had for the job. BUT - How did you deal with the fumes from the paint, epoxy and varnish?
Very stoic only a Melbournian would cope with the weather. SAILING Uma are rebuilding but not in Scotland......what were you thinking?
Awesome! Will you all upholster the cushions you added? :)
Is that a Najad 440 off your port side? Enjoying your boat work. Have Fun!
Have they got any planks of Iroko at the yard? Bill
Very nice
Nice job and very satisfying isn't it?
How’s the build going. Just had a walk around your yacht on the hard.
Time for Kiara to break out the sewing machine methinks😊
Love the measurements of the settee...1 Adam long.
Uhm,... it sits flush until you add the felt on the bottom??? :) when the Ottoman is occupied, is there enough room to walk around to fwd??
Where are you guys
😎
🤠👍
❤❤🥰🥰
Personally I'm not to happy with the whole heater thing. I'm thinking that is an innuendo to staying in cold weather climates!😮 I would rather be in warmer climates like the Caribbeans! But that's just me and apparently my preference doesn't count!😅
Don't worry one day Global Warming will reach Scotland as well. One day.
You (plural) are great. Too many sailing channels have a whinging, preposterously self-entitled, female lamenting her trials and difficulties. They are nauseating. You two are great, and extra kudos to Khiara for her positivity and personal integrity.
Name a few, please? I subscribe to several sailing channels and not one has a whinging, self-entitled female.
In my neck of the woods, we just say "y'all" ... I agree completely with the rest of your comment!
Lay the other way, with your feet near the fire. Just sayin
Old carpentry joke. You cut it twice and it's still too short
Fantastic! Well done A & K. (I’ve tried to message you on WhatsApp but doesn’t seem to work. Is the # you used in Trini still valid ?)
Kheira, when you are cutting the cover cloth for the cushions, don’t allow extra for the seams. That way, the cover will be nice and taut on the cushion, and not saggy-baggy. I used to work in the upholstery shop of a plastic boat manufacturer.
It is truly beautiful to watch how well you two work together on any of your projects this one especially when dealing with bad weather...winter is always harder for boat work because so much of what you do needs better temperatures to dry/cure..Keep up the great work on the boat and the videos.
Living in a sailboat in Sweden and I just got restovers from you’re bad weather… but it’s enough… You are hardliners!! Love you’re videos!! Cheers from Norway
Looks great guys👍
WOW! That's a beautiful bit of staining! I've *never* gotten a match that close before. Great work Adam & Khiara. Millie looks very happy with her interior upgrades lol
It doesn't always rain like this in the UK... not even Scotland *embarrassed* Could send Scots broth if that would help? Awesome joinery work in a really crappy winter
Adam, I successfully fixed my Ugg boots using the Speedy Stitcher - worth a try.
Looks great. Job well done. You can control gloss and semigloss with steel wool, but use the synthetic steel wool (looks like pan scrubbers but not the same). 'Steel' wool is great to flatten bumpiness in the finish layer. You can step the the super fine grades to get high gloss mirror shine, or stay at a lower grade to make it more semi. Rub some wax, or just bath soap on the edges of that sticky top on the ottoman. Should make it go on and off better.
Job well done, it looks great
Very practical for the boat. Looks like it belongs. Great job.
great job, looks great and all that storage !!!
Great job.
fantastic, beautiful work and design, bravo guys
That all turned out Fantastic..!!! ✅
Great job for sure you two. 😎👍👏🥳
Looks fantastic -- well done. Hopefully you got the water and propane situation sorted as well.
I love to see you working 😂... good job, looks really cosy, enjoy and have a Grog or a cup of tea
So you now have a good understanding of the word "dreek", very useful in that climate. lots of wee dreek days...
I am building a camper conversion. And I had no idea that you could make your own Plugs. It was a joy as always to watch your show
Great job on the couch ! In 1986, I was in the Navy and we pulled into the Perth/Freemantle area for a port visit. I bought a pair of those sheepswool ugg boots like those you have. As I remember, they were very warm especially if you wore heavy woolen socks with them. It looks like you've settled in to Scotland but, if I was to be brutally honest, I'd rather see you sailing and snorkeling in the Caribbean. I think I'm partial to warmer weather. Be safe !
Looks great, you both did an amazing job. And matched your interior perfectly. Well done
Looks super spiffy! Amazing! No way I'd manage that
Hi Guys, dou you plan to sail to the Netherlands also? let me know if you need to get stuff sorted if you do or if you need a berth.
Baffling to me that it is so unusual that people use dampers. Just makes life so much better.
A plastic disposable barbecue knife makes a great glue spreader.
It looks great. You two have done an excellent job. Cheers!
Do u know this trick put a hose on your line to avoid chafing
Great job guys, looks awesome 🤗💞
Amazing job :)
there are no 'couches' on a boat!
Beautiful work❤
Do you ever reflect that maybe you spent too long in Iceland, and that you could have been wintering in the Med? Oh well, hindsight. 😀👍❤
I think schengen visa rules may have influenced their decision.
