That what I said! This also weighs a whole lot less than the truck it was originally in and has 7.72 gearing so all that plays a factor as well.

yeah those are pinion brakes used on almost every 2.5 or 5 ton Rockwell axle.

Indeed. I just picked up a 97 12v to build into a mud rig. But if i ever total my LBZ the motor is coming out and going to a race rig like this =P

Hello guys, I don't know a whole hell of a lot about massively lifted trucks, so i was wondering if someone could tell me what the disc break looking think is on the front axle? Is it exactly what it looks like? and how does it work?

it makes big power without Rollin alot of coal. I like it. don't get me wrong I think Rollin coal is cool and fun but its a testament to the cleanliness of the power this truck puts down.
