Cambodia is constantly changing. Fast growing economy in Southeast Asia. When I was there I saw a lot of luxury cars, SUV’s, super cars, rolls Royce’s.
PP City has changed so much every year since I've returned evey year for the last ten years since my retirement. My first return trip back in 1995 from the US trying to find my surviving family members and the country was still in ruins from prolonged civil wars. The war was officially ended in 1998 so it's been going through development not long ago. I grew up in the city but most of my family members did not survive and I had to escape the country in late 1979. Only memory lives on. Happy travels and be safe. Greetings from a genocide survivor!
This touched me so much as one of AT's staunchly supporters from Africa..l am very sorry to know about what happened to your family..God heal the world l don't know what to tell you you went through a lot be positive take good care and make your family proud as you are the only survivor..War is stupid and people stupid too.Cindy Lauper sang that.💔💘😌
Love your Cambodia videos, thank you for promoting such a positive image. I first visited Cambodia in 2002 with my spouse to return the first time after the horrific Khmer Rouge era. I have since been many times. So warm and friendly, rich cultural history and fabulous healthy food too.
in most all big event, like National public holiday or weekend, most people love travelling to country side. So there are not many people in the city during that. If you come to visit Cambodia during Khmer New Year (KNY), the people just few but if you come to visit during Pchum Ben Day, there are fewer people in Phnom Penh. It would be quiet in the city and crowded in the country side.
I recommend you to visit Siem Reap, and you can visit a lot of Ancient Temples here especially Angkor Wat. Not crowded people like Phnom Penh, you can relax with nature here and a lots of tourist places that you could enjoy.
I hope Africans will get inspired from these countries in Asia. We are developing faster in terms of GDP, Human Development Index or HDI, infrastructure, personal income, education and tourism.
As a Filipino this is the "Asianess" I wanted to see I mean the atmosphere on the streets, temples and old buildings of Phnom Pen. Spain destroyed almost everything we had back in colonial days even our own writings. I don't even know any structures or cultural heritage that are saved. Although I Am proud of Metro Manila and other cities like Cebu in terms of development. But in heritage buildings there are none left before the Pre Spanish period.
@@Ella-vx5ix Those Spanish heritage buildings were destroyed in second world war. I was saying the statue, buildings, houses in Pre Colonial Period or before the Spanish came, I have never seen anything in my entire life.
Hello. In your travel across Southeast Asia, You will realize that ASEAN countries are developing fast compared to countries in Africa in GDP, Infrastructure, business centers and tourism. Cheers from Manila.
Honestly, you are the only youtuber I've seen showing the Phnom Penh Charm, it's not a place with just sad history. Most of the youtuber only go to where ever Google tells them to go, Angkor wat, siem reap, the beaches. Phnom Penh is pretty cool too.
Wow l love the night in that country it's so beautiful..Thanks for sharing my girl it looks a bit dark is there no street lights? Which countries are Cambodia's neighbours? I am curious l have one in mind want to see if l am right..❤️❤️❤️🥳🥳🥳🙏
You can visit a European style resort in Borey Peng Hout Beng Snou. Many small copied famous buildings along a river (Sorry my English is not quite good and I do not know what that call in English).
The municipal authorities have really worked hard to bring order to this part of the city. At night the streets are clean and safe. The roads are in good condition. We should realise that Cambodia and Laos are the "laggers" in ASEAN (association of South East Asian nations). It appears that they too are fast developing.
Amazing. Irrational, the poor countrie as Cambodia has so amazing and high rise like that. This is not Cambodian capital money but Chinese and they has their land here.
Their imcome/capita only $ 2000 . Let's compare with Brunai their income/capita $80 000 . Capital of Brunai not as glowing as that. Because no Chinese in Brunai
Even tho Cambodia has a lower GDP per capita and considered poor as you can see they are more modern amd developed than in the countries from South Asia and even countries from Africa.

Not only that Manila is the 2nd most devastated City in the world after warsaw poland.

Did you feel safe? I’m going there at end of March as a solo female. Staying at a hostel so I’m excited, but would love to know your opinion!
Don't worry. Cambodia is safe. Like others countries, pick pocket could happen, but not a big concern. Hope you will enjoy.
Beware of your phone and bag . Other than that no big problem here . Especially in central city lots of police on the street .
It definitely has a "Nightlife " ✨️ city lights up at Night 🌙
Hope you enjoy your holiday or business in Cambodia.
Stay safe and enjoy.
