As an Cambodian-American, this is by far the most goofiest channel about Cambodia that I’ve came across on UA-cam, so you’ve honestly earned a sub lol. Cambodia (imo) is an underrated country, and as an extremely goofy Cambodian, I am very happy to finally see funny and actual entertaining content brought about this country. Also, I am very surprised and happy to see Phnom Penh becoming a lot more modern! I haven’t been to Cambodia in about 10 years so I mostly remember the rural parts of Cambodia, but watching this made me realize that this country is finally starting to enter the modern stage.
This area used to be a wetland like "Lake Tumpun" with local but they have been developing it to a commercial zone. I used to come here after school to go swimming and fishing during rainy season way back in the 60s. The lake was clean then with 5 million population for the whole country. I still like Aeon1 Mall better but there is always an option. Happy Autumn!
@@ដុំដី-ង6ឍ Way back then, there were mostly bicycles, tricyclos, and a few cars. Phnom Penh only had a few hundred thousand population. Everything was so peaceful and clean before the war erupted. I was about 12 years old!

@@UnclePhillyMyAss Wellcome you to visit Cambodia. There are many amazing things to visit now. Ohh! Don’ t forget to visit Angkor Wat as well, it’s located in Siemreap province.🙏😅🇰🇭
I hope the new developments improve some lives, but I also hope culture will survive as well. Don't want everything to become like the western countries.
It’s good to have some malls but hopefully they don’t overdo it. Cambodians use to travel to Thailand and Singapore and the US and stuff to buy international brands and bring them back to Cambodia when Cambodia had no international stores, now they don’t have to anymore except the super super rich who go still to buy luxury brands like LV and Dior etc in Thailand and Singapore. I hope they bring at least one Tory Burch into Cambodia 😁. When I go there I can browse hehe
I'm a mall rat myself but really prefer going to the big street markets that you find all over South East Asia. Malls are becoming more popular but really it seems for the expats and for some of the locals who can afford it. Malls are good to get out of the heat but they don't seem to have any personality. I go to Aeon mall in Hanoi all the time as its close to my house. When in Bangkok I also spend a lot of time in malls. Chatuchak though is my favorite market in South East Asia in Bangkok. Its good to see Phonm Phen developing more but I would rather see more about being creative than just selling products. Also create new spots for live music in the city.
That mall and grocery store looks too cleanly organized that it seems like you’re in some kind of virtual simulation. The farmers’ market appears more lively and organically wholesome where people sell their produces under natural sunlight.
When I go to Cambodia or anywhere in SE Asia, I prefer shopping at night markets for cheap knock offs, fakes, replicas, and authentic locally produced products. Can go to a fancy mall anytime in the states.
Hi, that's fine but for people who live in Cambodia it's more convenient to buy brands at malls where you know the product is genuine and better quality.

Hallo pro Phnom Penh have a new mall name mall is Aeon Mall MeanChey is open on Thursday 15 November 2022 this mall is very big 1st in ASEAN thanks you.
A fab tour. Good to hear that there is a genuine Cambodian company/group behind it. But at the same time, it is sad to see the same old Western Mall Brands that decimated the diversity and character previously provided by local shops and vendors that added value to the high streets, towns and shopping centres back in the day. Seriously, what's the point in traveling to another town or country if they are saturated with the same international and sterile brands as every other town and country. My comments aren't a reflection on your tour, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the video Ryan. Stay awesome.
These malls are nice but the local markets and mom and pop shops is the experience I’m looking for when traveling, the handmade goods and craftsmanship by the locals are superior to mass market commercial products. I’m happy to see the country grow in such a rate but I also want to see the government take care of the people .
Wow super nice mall but from what I can see, it’s lacking BENCH to sit and relax when your tired from all the walking. But nevertheless it’s very nice and beautiful mega mall. Cambodia came a long way to get here. A civil war will set it back 50 yrs. But now Cambodia have arrived. Im so proud of Cambodia.
Impressive architecture. Where is the population to support this mall, three Aeon Malls and a few smaller ones? The developement along Hun Sen Boulevarde over the past few years, has been mind blowing.
Look across the street at all the condo developments along the Boulevard. I have invested in 2 high end condos in the big R&F development Ryan showed in this video, across the street. AEON 1 and 2 car parks are always full, doesn't seem to be a shortage of demand.
Cambodia looks like a great place to live! Is Cambodia a better place to live/quality of life than the Philippines? Would you rather retire in the Philippines or Cambodia?.
I'd choose Cambodia, but I've never lived in the Philippines. I think Manila vs Phnom Penh would be an easy win for PP, but if you can live in Boracay, I could see the Philippines being better.
