what if the true count is +7 and the dealer is showing a 6?
Obviously this video is referring to the 99% of players who don’t count cards. You obviously know the answer if you had to choose that specific of a scenario.
what if you actually got bitches
If the true count is +7 u def wanna pile as much money 💰 I to the middle at every turn. Lol

@@brianbaker2884lmfao I’m a new gambler at 26 and this is funny as hell
Is it so much card counting than it is checking to see if the dealer’s face up card is a 7, 6, or a 5? I’d say it’s less risky and good to split if that’s the case.
@@sissel2No, it's a terrible split regardless of the dealer's up card. The only time it's a good split is if the count is super high.
You mean ploppies.
Not only do you never split 10's you also hit 16 vs a dealer 8. If you're trying to help newbees at least lead them in the right direction.
Not even against a 7? Since a 10 or higher would still beat my 16?
@@Youdoxxikill yes u hit 16 vs a dealer 7
@@Youdoxxikillyou hit 16 vs dealer 7. Go learn basic strategy
Of course you hit 16 vs 18. There is no logical reason not to. But you're wrong about splitting 10s. Against a 5 or 6 you should do it every time
@@vince7189 the book says otherwise 🤣. You're simply wrong. Why would you take the 2nd strongest hand in blackjack (20) and possibly turn it into 2 losing hands.
Some tables you get a card for each split first before getting to hit so the right hand would have been 12 & left would be at 20 staying on it & hitting the 12 getting a 6 would then get you 18, so 20 & 18 to dealer 18, a win & push
For basic strategy players, yes don’t split. If your are counting and converting to a correct true count there are deviations. H17 you’d split against a dealer 2-6. S17 against a 4-6.
Where are you getting the 10,10 vs 2-3 index from for H17? I18 has it as only against 5 or 6 with TC 5 and 4
The tc should determine your bet, not your play.
You missed the point of card counting

As soon as a good player splits Tens the dealer knows that he's Counting. You will be escorted out shortly.
Exactly! The transportation cost to the next casino is less than the EV difference for splitting.
You won't be escorted out, you can do weird stuff but if you keep winning, they will temporarily ban you from the table (which is messed up because what if your actually not counting cards and it was just by chance) and you can come back for an hour and you'll only be banned from the blackjack tables for an hour, then they welcome you back like nothing happened. Also it's not illegal at all
The dealer usually doesn't care if you are counting. The pit boss on the other hand might care. Plenty of people get away with splitting tens. It is not as big a threat to longevity as you've been lead to believe. I don't always do it but have done it and suffered zero ramifications. They are all still sending me comp offers.
The drunk act can buy you much leeway.
@@kenstevens7855 have you never watched a ploppy split tens? I've seen it and they didn't get backed off. I've done it while counting and wasn't backed off either. I had positive sessions when doing it too.
@@DadeMurphie the casino knows you're counting within a few minutes after you sit down. It just depends on how greedy you get whether you get booted or not. All these smart gamblers are so naive.
You CAN split face cards & tens when the dealer is showing a 5 or 6 and it's often wise to double down as well (if you can).
The only guarantee split hand is 8s. Two 8s gets you 16 which isn’t that competitive against a dealer with 7 or higher showing. If you split, you increase your odds of getting to 18 on at least 1 of your hands. If it’s the opposite, and the dealer has a 6 showing, you could split the 8s to try and take low cards away, or get 18s against a dealer 6, which is an amazing spot to be in.
I split 10s when dealer is showing 5/6 and it ALWAYS works. Some of my biggest wins have come from splitting 10s 😊😊
All these children who have never even set foot in a casino talking about counting cards 💀 Casinos love kids like that
Tens against a 6 at +3 TC is an absolute gimme
Never stand on 16 if dealer is showing 7- 10
I don’t need a TC to tell me what I should do, I need a TC to tell me what I bet.

You should sweat tense but only against the dealer 4 5 or six when the deck is running hot
Horse for keeping count and your true count is above a positive 8.
Also keep in mind. You should only better according to your bank role. So if you have enough to play a hand of that nature, then yes, you should take the opportunity only against the dealer 4 the dealer 5 or the dealer 6
In double exposure blackjack (dealer shows both cards) you should split tens against dealer 13-16.
To offset advantage of seeing both dealer cards, dealer wins all ties.
Always split 10's when your counting cards,
Oof count was low and you lost

While you may be able to see that a decision someone has made directly affected your hand, the odds are still the same as you are playing the dealer. If you think this way you would have to think every decision everyone at a table makes affects your play lol. It doesn’t. It only affects their play.

Mathematically speaking, there is actually a scenario where you should split your tens against a bust card and that is when the deck is rich in 10 value cards it’s a mathematical certainty you can’t argue against it
Yes and you’ll also be backed off or worse trespassed from the casino
I've done it out of desperation a few times trying to recover losses. Only when I'm the only player at the table and only against a 7 or less for the dealer.

You not only don't split 10s, don't stay on 16 vs an 8, but you also don't ever play on tables where the dealer hits soft 17 or blackjack pays 6:5.
I usually only split A's and 8's. Never tens but everything else depends on what the dealer has but, generally I don't spilt.
Had to re-watch the video but it sounds good.
What about against 3 4 5 6 with a favorable count?
True, but the last time I was playing the guy beside me split 10's, got a 20 and 21!
Also saved me from busting my 16 🤩
Split tens only when you are able to … and if you know you know … I personally like playing aggressive when the dealer is showing any card with high bust potential ( 456) best being aggressive when the cards are delivered out correctly in your highest possible probability of bust … it’s math and foundation play … but he’s not wrong .. he’s just not all the way right
Not always but must split 10’s when dealer has a 5 or 6 up in a BlackJack tournament.
*Card counters have entered the chat*
Yo I wanna learn how to count
@@Backyardpainting209 just look it up. You should split tens against a six when the count is a true 6 or above, meaning the running count/decks left= 6. To get the running count, start at the beginning of every shoe at 0. For every 2-6 that was dealt, add 1. For every 10-ace, minus 1. Also, Whenever the true count is higher than 1, the player has the advantage over the casino, and that's where card counters bet bigger and beat the house.
Unless your counting cards with the right dealer up card and the correct positive true count 😉
How many times could you split?
I always split 10s if a 6 is showing. I know everyone will say but it's basic strategy. But that's what I do. I'm betting on dealer's weak hand all the time regardless of what I got
and you can make whatever logic you want to make you feel good but its the worse play = less money. There are better games to play for fun bro
@koaglide do we agree a 10 card is basically the best starting hand. And a 6 is the worst. So why is it not a good bet to have 2 hands starting at 10 against a 6. You're prolly the same guy who will double down on a 10 or 11 while dealer also has that.
It's cus 20 is the 2nd best hand other than 21 so why would you want to risk it @vince7189
@@vince7189it’s not that you’re not set up well at the initial split, its that you had an almost guaranteed win that you gave up in order to play 2 likely worse hands.
Exactly. They play the way the casino tells them too. For christ sake they print out basic strat cards for people to buy. People don't understand that if you play that BS long game shit they will always win. I mean if your a pro gambler sure I get it. Otherwise I go like once a year. I'm goo a try to win some money not grind like a pussy.
When playing Spanish 21 I like to split, double down and I play three hands. It's just me and dealer I don't worry about other players trying to tell me how to do it. I made mad money playing savage mode for like 20-30 min.
Of course you would not split tens against an eight, but it would be a decent split against a five or six or seven especially in a high plus count
A shark would say if dealer has hitting hand you don’t split if dealer showing non hitting hand you split it with confidence!
Not against an 8! But against 4, 5 or 6... it's a great bet. That's why so many casino's don't allow it.
My favorite are the ones who do it but only if they have an actual pair (like two Jacks). Besides doing something dumb, they don't even realize they can split any two 10 or face cards (like 10 and King)
Don’t forget the other half of the time where you split tens then win!
This should be a standard video that can be referenced on infinite black jack tables lol.
This is super results oriented. Yeah, it’s true that you shouldn’t split tens, but the way this one hand of blackjack turned out isn’t the reason why. Say the player got an ace for 21 on both hands of the split. That wouldn’t make splitting tens a good idea.
You only split if the card shown is in your favour, if the dealer has a high card never split lol
Split 10's only based on what the dealer has: If showing a 4, 5, or 6 - spit. If not, keep 10's...
It depends. If there have been a lot of number cards before, I would split 10 any time.
You want to split tens if the dealer has a 5 or 6 card. I cringe when the dealer has a 2 or 3 card bc somehow they usually can make it to 18 or 19. I generally dont like low cards.
As educational as this is i used to work at a card room and ive seen my fair share of people who split they tens
I have done it before. Pissed the table off. I won both hands.
I would not split 10s unless dealer shows 6 or less. Otherwise take the winski

Do it when the dealer is showing 5 or 6. Then double down on each card you split. I did this and won a lot of money when the dealer busted out
Don’t we love how it isn’t mentioned that the cards were already set in a certain order to “prove” their point. Splitting 10’s could be an advanced deviation that one of the players made depending on whatever the count at the time was.
They usually deal to both hands at the beginning when splitting so should have had a 12 and a 20 and then an 18 with the next 6.
Wrong, that’s not how they usually do.
Exactly. Resulting in a push and a win
Wrong, u play exactly as shown
@@PaulDrabik-df5kw This is how they would play the hand in the casino go to.

No I've never seen a casino in the US do that only on the crypto casinos plus they don't even let you resplit on there
The music is too loud
I split tens if the dealers showing a shitter and most importantly I’m sitting at the table by myself because I play for fun and the risk and don’t want gambling addicts in my ear about how I shouldn’t have done that
Same here bro. I hate when they try to tell me how play my hands 😂
I play off book. I honestly don't care what others think. It's my money and they're my cards.. i enjoy the fun so why not "gamble" a bit. I find cruise casinos are the best to play crazy like that since they're usually not the snobby "play by the rules" type
Kind of nice to set up the cards before hand so you know what's gonna happen lol. You know how to win? Don't play by the casino rules.. they are set up so that you lose all the time because your playing in such a way that will lose 52% of the time. Counting cards is the only way to even the playing field. Even if you do a simplified version of Counting.. watch previous hand before you bet. Do you see mostly 9s and above? Bet small.. you see mostly 2 - 7 bet big. Having a bad shoe?.. throw things off by splitting 10s.. that way your wins..when you do win will be bigger. But your loses will be bigger too. It is gambling after all
The background tells the whole story.
Matt Rife used to be a dealer before doing standup apparently
If u split 10s… take the door left in hell to the boiler room
If the dealer has a bust card, I’ll split the tens
Keep on losing then.😂
Split 10s against a 5 and 6 if you have enough money
And sometimes 3 and 4 if ur really down bad
It’s high risk high reward
Keep splitting every 10 you get and it payout could be crazy or you lose everything
I like to split tens if the dealer is showing 6. It’s a psychological thing for me. If I get a 13 or 14, I assume they would have won anyway turning their 16 into a 19 or 20. And I tend to remember the wins way more than they loses in this specific scenario.
I gotta give it to him he nailed 🎉 should be on Tv. Would be awesome if were in Mtv 👍🤯
Can you do a video on why you shouldn’t double down on 14s i just don’t understand why not
Dealer:gets 21
Me:this is fake
For basic strategy, it’s true you should basically never split 10s. However, if the true count is high-enough (and “enough” depends on your betting spread), there are some cases where it’s worth splitting to double. 🙄
If you're splitting a 20, you are either a novice used to playing online or a card counter that has a good count.
Nah good advice. Follows basic strategy which is the first step in cutting the casino's advantage
Its lower than +7 if memory serves. But will mark you as a counter if they didn't know it already.
A guy at my table didn’t take a hit he should’ve so it was up to me to save the table. I had a 20, dealer was showing a 7, 99.9999% of the time I stay obviously but I really felt he needed to take the next card. So I announced I was splitting. I split and got (2) 20’s but the big thing is I stayed on both, dealer turns over a 3 under making 10, so he would’ve hit 20, he gets a 4 then a face and busts. Everyone is shocked at the table.
Of course split tens quite often with small card..But always hit ace 7 vs high card which no one does.
Good advice - I wonder up to what number should you split a pair in blackjack? What if I'm dealt a pair of sevens, split or no?
I think you shouldn't, doesn't 7 gives the non-dealer a luck?
Idk lol
Always split aces obviously
So generally if you have a 10 and dealer has 2-6 you split but if dealer has 7-9 you dont split
Giving up the second best hand for the chance of getting it twice (very unlikely) or getting a 21 is a waste of a good hand
If you got 88 can split if card if under 7 on dealer. It’s worked for me. Maybe I got lucky maybe was a fool idk
I knew right away the comments section was gonna be flooded by “well what’s the count”
how about splitting a black jack?
2 aces The best you can split
I never split 10’s i’m not that risky. But I would of definitely hot on that 16 if you had an 8. Slightly better odds.
always split 10s vs every hand
I never played blackjack but I would never split 10's or 9's because it's risking a good hand for uncertainty. low number cards yes
If for some reason you split 10’s do it if you’re at a table on your own or only with your friends. If you pull up to a random table with random players and split 10’s that’s an easy way to make you an enemy at the entire table
why? genuinely
You should never split tens, but you should almost always split nines unless The dealer has a 10 face up
I split 10s and I've had good luck doing it. Usually win 3 out of four hands
Now if you keep on splitting 10’s and you just so happen by chance to be successful the majority of the time, the casino might just ban you for being a card counter!
Wow unfair
This solves itself. If you are consistently splitting 10s without counting and knowing when to do so you this will not be successful the majority of the time.
The way i play is don’t split 10’s if the dealer is showing anything higher than a 6
Splitting 10's against dealers 2 - 6
