The breaking strains are a bit light for the diameter.
Thanks , As usual Brilliant , Unfortunately Trident are not Posting to Ireland at moment because they've had "problems "with national post ,but you can pay £16(99% ) courier fee.
Yes I've heard alot of people aren't posting to Ireland because of the ridiculous postal costs
@@ukseafishing apologies didn't explain very well,,Their alternative is £16 courier, which they say is more expensive so its not the original postal cost that was the problem back in February ,, I had e-mailed them three weeks ago but have yet to receive a response.
Well thats not looking very good on their part! I see they have also dropped the coloured components from the trident range. I used different colour components to colour code my rigs. Will be looking else where now.....
I think I will give it a try
You won't be disappointed mate
@@ukseafishing just ordered a spool of each
Give me an update of what you think when it arrives
0:38 Can you please let me know where I can get the trident rig body for thanks
Good video why do u use a crimp on the rig and where did u get nail clippers from thanks
Use a crimp and bead to stop the rig sliding to the hook end ( so the hook can't sit right against the weight. I got the nail clippers from amazon, ideal for cutting line.
This line is obsolete already ....guess they had problems with it ?
I will certainly get some and give it a go. Thank you for posting the vid.
Not many places selling Trident there is only One company on eBay that stocks all the components you were talking about but at least they are showing stock of everything.
Hippotackle UK.
Where do you buy your Trident items from mate ?
Cheers
Nigel
Hi Nigel, its good stuff. I get all mine direct from trident tackle website. Just have a search on Google. Gets sent very quickly too. Tight lines.
Thank you for the swift reply. Makes sense actually cuts out the middle man going direct. The components are a pretty reasonable price for the quality.
I have used crimps in the past with other makes of lines and my only concern is the ends of the crimps are sharp and can cut the line. Which has happened to me in the past and that was on a 60lb rig body fishing from a boat in the Bristol Channel line snapped off cleanly at the crimp.
Maybe this line will act differently with a crimp. Just wanted to try out your build method.
Take care & tight lines
Nigel
Exactly! On a side note its always recommended that you don't crimp down the full length of the crimp, just the middle section so the ends stay open. Some people use needle nose pliers for this reason. All the best mate
@@ukseafishing does make sense when crimping. I bought a specific crimping tool for the crimps but my crimper squashes the whole crimp.
But i will try the pliers approach.
Take care also.
Nigel
Hi mate, Just been on the Trident web site. They are definitely cheaper than the seller on eBay which is understandable.
I will be placing an order shortly
Thank you for the heads up
Best
