I miss the old days of this show. Right now it's more about humans vs humans and the walkers seem like easy threats. But the earlier seasons- they really immerse you into a scary, post apocalyptic world and thrust you into the terrifying scenarios
I agree but I like how it is now. Because it shows that humans are more dangerous than zombies because we have intelligence amd freewill while zombies don't.

2:24 i love how it changes to major for the second part, it reminds me of when the walking dead had its sweet and charming moments that really made it feel like these were real people, which made the tension that much more great. i stopped watching after season 8, well specifically episode 10 after a certain someone died (unpopular opinion but my favorite character). it really just doesn’t feel the same as when carl would go frog catching with shane or when glenn made video game references that maggie didn’t understand, or when carl got so excited for a big tub of pudding and enjoyed it on the roof. little things that made me keep coming back to the show. not for the gore, blood, or drama (maybe a bit), but the characters. there’s a reason why people love daryl, even though he wasn’t even apart of the comics. something about the early writing captured apart of humanity, the highs and lows, that stuck out to audience members-especially me. it’s a shame they din’t have that spark that they used to have though i guess you could chalk it up to bloating the series like a waterlogged walker. but hey, at least i can still go back and watch those early days. man, have the days gone by…
that’s because in their world, zombies never existed. it’s not a thing, to them it’s all new, there wasn’t any “night of the living dead” or anything like that

I recall seeing the preview for The Walking Dead on TV and it looked interesting to me, but definitely not my wife. that’s because in their world, zombies never existed. it’s not a thing, to them it’s all new, there wasn’t any “night of the living dead” or anything like that
lemme rephrase, in pop culture ( Books, Movies, etc.) zombies were never created so they don’t have a real name in the world of the walking dead
They actually said it multiple times. For example in the episode "Nebraska"
"Zombies, you call them that? We call them soft brains"
