Yes that would be easy but they not paying for that unfortunately so that’s why I’m going through the pain. Honestly the only time the insurance will do it is if we paint it and color off and we can’t get the color right then they will pay.

By the way, how many minimum that you will mix for every spray out that you sprayed? the rest of the colors that didnt match what are you going to do with it? Your Refinity 'scan' should be updated by now, to show the percentage 'boxes' of each of the 6 camera lens angles, to help with face and side tone Spectral Curve readings. How you like the new Santint Mix bank?
90 line and 100 line was a struggle with color match, I much preferred PPG Envirobase, color match has been vastly better than BASF, Axalta for SURE and Sherwin Williams.
Been watching a few of your videos, great work. Nice to see another shop using 100 line. On your camera, did they teach you about open search on it? And also bumping the amount of shots taken up? I recently had to go thru another class on it and got a few helpful tips.
I would recommend changing the setting to SMC. The more shots you get the better chance of a color match. And you can open search any color, the only time you can run into a problem Is with high metallics because the machine don’t pick up metallics yet so it may give you a good color match, but the metallics may be off
I would recommend starting with the paint code and see if there is a good match but if there isn’t I would do like you did and take some more camera shots. I have mine set on 5 as well. With the solid colors I definitely use the open search if I don’t see a good match with the code and have taken a few more tries with the camera. Make sure you switch locations that you are checking the color from.. so if you try the fender maybe read the hood instead.. sometimes I’ll read it 3 different times to get something with an adjustment into the green
Is your scan setting set to search for colors across all car manufacturers? For example, for Chevy 8624 white, the search usually ends up giving us a Volkswagen white and we almost always are good to go with that first shot

Nope. They said open search for just whites but I still don’t do that. And also it’s a 5 shot

It do auto find best one but I always put in manufacturing and code.
