Had my S4 B9 a year now, 20k miles later it’s the best car I’ve had, coming from 4 hatchbacks it’s the next level up for sure. Surprisingly nimble for its size whilst still being comfortable and having the next tier of interior… you forgot to mention the massage seats as standard!! 😂

I love my 9.5 it's really one of the last true salon sport sedans.
Nearly bought a S4 wagon, a few months ago. The only reason I didn't is, the boot space is just too small. The Golf R wagons is even bigger!
OOOOH I like! This video has single handedly made me reconsider if I prefer the M340i to that! I even like the silver mirror caps, something I usually really don't like, possibly because the rest of the car has chrome/silver so it all goes well, as apposed to being all black (like everything these days)! And yes, please review more cars of this/other genres!
340i is the better car
These are a sleeper, they do surprise people at the lights. Same block (apparently) as the 2.9ltr twin turbo, with a slightly longer stroke I believe. To tweak the B9 makes sense, there is so much redundancy in the engine build.
However make sure the guys doing the tweaking know their stuff, if something breaks, be prepared to drain the bank.
They do cover distance very well, I recently travelled Queensland (Australia), just under 5,000 km in a 10 day trip.
I didn’t get caught up by “Grey Nomads” towing their Caravans, there were literally hundreds of them on the highway. And interestingly enough 6.7ltr per 100km.
I just love the S4 😍

I really like ZF transmission it’s so smooth and doesn’t have a whole lot of drivetrain resistance when off the throttle just coasting my speed is slow to come down.
So want one of these cars ❤️

May e if he 'd be talking about the A4... Maybe. But you do have to recognise that the S badged Audi cars have clearly a diferent status than the standard ones. Its the în between the standard and the super sport RS cars.

You could but these a 12-18 months ago with like 20-25k miles on the clock for 23-25 grand.....now they're like 28-30 grand......wtf???😑 used car market is a fucking joke. Dealers are just making numbers up
Been tracking the prices of b9 s5 sportbacks which tend to be a bit more expensive and you're spot on!
Same with every car really, % wise increases.
It’s called supply & demand ..
You must be in a good area bc anywhere near me for the last 6 months these models have sold in the $30-40ks range used with 30-45k miles

Looking at replacing my mk7 golf r with a b9 s5 sportback ... everytime I've looked into tuning hardly anyone touches them so nice Revo are getting involved 👌🏻
Quite a few tuning options now, as above of course but also offerings from 034 and APR as well as a US tuner called EPL you can flash yourself they offer features such as map switching, adjustable launch, ZF tune, Stage 3 options too! It’s all coming out slowly, good time to make that switch!
Traded my Mk7 Golf R for B9 S5 last year mate, different class, only running stage 1 just now but still plenty grunt
Many tuning options available now as @Chris Tims mentioned. EPL, APR, IE, 034, Unitronic and I'm sure I missed one or two. I have an '18 S4 currently on the Stage 2 FBO EPL ECU/TCU. I think I have around 9K on the EPL tune. It's a great car and really something with a ZF and ECU tune.
@@SquashPile I installed the IE stage 1 tune for my by Audi s5 - upgraded the ECU and TCU and this car comes alive. Great addon when you consider the price difference between the S and the RS.
@@dc3210 True.. pretty much RS performance now too. The difference is pretty incredibe.
