- The ALL NEW Sierra 2500HD AT4 is here and GMC is ready for the competition. Under the hood is a 6.6L turbo diesel engine producing 440 HP & mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The exterior of the Sierra 2500HD had been redesigned for 2020. The AT4 takes the truck to the next level. On the inside you will find some great tech to help you tow, and some other nice touches. Always enjoyed 2500 gmc / Silverado. Used alot over the years for land scape. I want a 2500 don't have much use but they are built so much better and have better parts, breaks.

Great post! As for the Infotainment system, just keep the split screen Radio/Map showing on the screen. Unless, you are using the multitude of camera views for pulling that Bass Boat or Trailer! (This is only MY OPINION!)

I test drove one yesterday an absolutely feel in love with the truck I really enjoyed the the way it drove the interior yes could be updated but the seats are comfortable I’m gonna be getting one towards the end of the yr or mid spring/summer

Same here. Keep it simple with regular buttons and dialers. Others are obsessed with touch screen.....until it doesn't turn on or breaks 😒

No offense, but the truck makes Joe look tiny. Honestly the 80k price tag kinda makes sense, look at how much phisical truck you are getting, along with the tech and all of that. Great video, always enjoy your reviews!

When GMC who has the AT4 or the AT4X either like you said about the SIERRA if it's the 1500s or this one the 2500s or their suvs as well like the TERRAIN or something like that, they should have their GMC emblem blacked out

It’s funny he saying they won’t just slap a emblem on it and say go play in the mud and get stuck, but they have been for years the AT4 stands for all-terrain which is what they’ve been selling just rebranded it this year
Still kinda disappointed with that interior. Sure, it's a truck, but still. Especially that infotainment system. My opinion.

I have the 2020 Trail Boss and can’t wait to upgrade to the AT4 HD! I don’t get why everyone pokes fun at the interior. It’s very functional, and it’s a TRUCK. I’ve had Range Rovers with high-end interiors and other than the seats being a little more comfortable, I’ll take GM’s interior. I suppose it doesn’t have the huge screen and loads of bells and whistles like the Dodge or Ford, but I don’t really want that.

It would be great for GM to drop the Rancho thing and hit up a BDS 2-3 coilover leveling kit .. that would be more of a suspension competitor to the Raptor

Why did they add the HD for the GMC SIERRA 2500? What is the MPG and WHAT IS THE MSRP? Can you TOW ANYTHING BEHIND the GMC SIERRA 2500 HD AT4? SHOULD the SIERRA 2500 HD AT4 have the AT4 on the SIDE OF THE DRIVER and PASSENGER DOORS?

I just seen a video on gmc at4 1500 denelli it was climbing rocks and in 4wd front tires weren't pulling as much as back tirrs, it ended up spinning back tires going nowhere, needs front lockers

Beautiful truck, I’m in the market, but I won’t buy a GMC until they update the interior, have a panoramic moonroof, and the diesel have 1000lb/ft of torque.
I hope you haven’t rushed into a truck yet! GMC will update their diesel interiors in the next few years!

Seems like every dealer is just naming there price on this truck the one I’m looking at right now is listed for $80,750 with $1500 rebate so comes out to $79,250
2500 and 3500 HD AT4 are standard height. No 2” lift like the 1500 AT4.

Nobody wants to talk about the fact that the Duramax motor is no longer teamed up with a real Allison transmission? GM makes the transmission in house now and agreed to pay Allison to use their name.
Contrary to the title of the vid, its far from the best. The best offroader is either the PW or Raptor depending on your needs. But this is merely an appearance package with some different wheels and tires. The rest is available in X31 (Z71) package on all trims, including Denali and Sierra (base). Still only a single rear LSD, and actually is a class exclusive with front independent suspension. These new HD's from GM were built with pavement and maybe some gravel/dirt roads, but no trails. Ford has a much more compelling offer with the TREMOR package, considering it isn't a trim, has a much lower price floor and is wildly more capable. Honestly the TREMOR is the best offroad HD since it maintains its truck capability while still being reasonably capable on the trail.
GM has a lot of work to do if they want any sort of offroad truck other than the ZR2. The concept racer Silverado 1500 was a cool idea but there is no word on it making production, and even then its still behind the rest. They just don't get what offroading seems to mean. Personally I think they nailed the on street design of the trucks though, and they just went all in on that.

The truck needs to be bigger in order to use the rams interior. GM trucks interior are small. Hell, my 2016 ram 2500 mega cab limited Cummins was over 1,000 pounds heavier than this truck.
