I love your historical knowledge of London, but also your film industry knowledge too, so many movies and TV shows filmed here that I wasn't even aware of! What a fantastic day for filming too. I love your videos Angela, I've learned so much from them, looking forward to the next one :) x

    Hello Angela
A great video. What a wonderful day. We are adding this area to our list of place to visit. We have done the walk over the O2 it was a crazy windy day and we have done the cable car. It is such a interesting area. All the best. Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.

Hello! Architecture student here. Would anyone happen to know how the shipping containers were treated before assembly to avoid rusting? It's amazing how it's been over 22 years yet it has no visible signs of rusting. Add to that the water feature Container City has along its paths.

You could contact the Trinity Buoy Wharf people directly, they have commented and are on social media, and they seem very enthusiastic about everything. All the best, Angela

“WorCESter” 🤣 And Lie-CES-ter for Leicester (lester). I know the Brits hate that. I’m only 3 months late watching this and as usual it was a great walk and incredibly interesting. I like lighthouses (we have a mock lighthouse at the lake across the street here!) so it’s was an enjoyable watch for me. I believe the Proving House was where they tested the chains that held the buoys but I don’t know much beyond that. Love James Norton, by the way and Happy Valley is a great series. Will have to catch Rogue Agent. Fat Boy's Diner must have been fun. So is Dedicated Helper mainly filming eateries on his channel? 😉 I rushed over to see if he filmed Fat Boy’s, but no luck. 😄 Hope you and Dedicated Helper are well. Looking forward to your next video.

The prooving house may have been used for testing gun barrels prior to shipping. The river Lee was used extensively for gunpowder and arms tranportation from Royal Mills Gunpowder plant near Waltham Abbey and also the Royal Enfield factory where they made firearms. The buoy chain theory also sounds quite plausible. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham_Proof_House

Hey there Goldie, thank you so much for the lovely comment and yes, big James Norton fan here. I too like a lighthouse and I'm fascinated to hear you have a lake across the street, living as we do in relentless suburbia. Fat Boy's Diner had good food and he had only just taken it over, so was getting to know customers, explaining the food offering etc; I hope he does well. I too had hoped Luke would convert what he filmed into something, but he hasn't yet. We underestimated the process for putting together his hidden disabilities videos so everything is taking 4 times as long to output, but I keep encouraging him to put videos on the channel of his life around London. I'm hoping to upload a video (if they don't mind) of a coffee shop in London that trains learning disabled adults and does some lovely coffee and cake! I hope you are well and enjoying the summer. All the best, Angela

The electrical shop as you call it was our Radio/electrical shop, repairing Pye hamble radios, 50volt inverters for outstations and building electronics for the 1970s modernisation - including toilets of Trinity House Lighthouses. Happy days, now looks a disaster zone.

Thank you for sharing that, it's fascinating and so good to hear about what it was like before its 'modern' incarnation:) All the best, Angela

Thank you, too add, The bus would stop on Barking Rd by Orchard place then a long, very long walk down Leamouth road, 20 ft high walls - bleak, onto Orchard place. Trinity Hse workshops on the Thames by Bow creek.
