Such an authentic, consistent, rare display of true love and mutual adoration between two people that personally I've never, ever had the pleasure to experience in this lifetime, and doubt I ever will, BECAUSE it's so rare to see that. So happy for you two, to have found each other that it almost brings me to tears sometimes. Thx for sharing.
I was just reflecting on the various layers of beauty here: a beautiful lady, a beautiful love affair, a beautiful song, a beautiful experience of introducing her to the song (on headphones, anyway), and the beauty of all of us taking all of that in...
The old man is back. Now you're really taking me back to a very special time. Great to see them in the early years again. Pink Floyd got its name from two old southern bluesmen; Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. First time I saw them was in 1969. I was 21 years old and deeply into the whole psychedelic genre of music. I've seen them 5 times since. What can one say that hasn't already been said about this amazing band... and the multitude of great songs they've performed. David Gilmore became one of my all time favorite guitarists. He proved you don't have to be a shredder to be considered great. Is he the best I've ever seen? No... but I've never seen anyone better (there is no "best"). Glad I found you guys. If you haven't already seen their live performance of "Comfortably Numb" from the 1994 PULSE Tour then it's a must. Visually stunning, and David Gilmores guitar solo is considered by most (this old dude included) as one of the greatest ever. Here's a link if interested ua-cam.com/video/vi7cuAjArRs/v-deo.html

alleneh re shredder, yes it’s the overall music that counts, whether the guitarist is a shredder or not. No point being a shredder if what you shred actually sucks! 😊
I am so glad I had a friend who introduced me to real music. Pink Floyd is his favorite band. He would make me put on headphones and listen to Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon, even albums like Umma Gumma. I wouldn't have gone the direction I did if it wasn't for that. I had a brand new appreciation for musicianship.

So GOOD! Both studio and this live version of Echoes are awesome. This song is so primal. These guys performed with excellence. The thought just ran through my mind going back to the seventies and as much as we knew and loved how awesome the music was at the moment, I think we were naive to think this level of music wouldn't end. I'm into American Muscle Car's from mid 60's to early 70's too, and just like the music from that era we didn't realize how fortunate we were to have them at the moment in our young lives. Fast forward to today, that reality is so clear to see now. This song Echoes brings forth so many thoughts or memories when you listen to it as your drifting through your mind.
All my life I wanted to have someone that was in love with me as Kel is with you, Rich. I'm pretty sure I haven't. I sure hope you appreciate what you have Rich (and I think you do.) It doesn't take a trained professional to see the love that exudes from every pore in you two. Watch the final act of 2001 A Space Odyssey Jupiter and beyond the infinite (@ 1:57:07) sound off and start the album version of Echoes at the same time. The result is indescribable.
Dogs haunts me. Echoes Amazes me. Had Meddle and Animals on vinyl. Had Pompeii on VHS. I wore all of them out. So glad you guys are keeping this alive.
Nice, me too...and also saw 'Pompeii' in a Movie Theater at one of those Radio sponsored Weekend Midnight shows in the late 70's. 1978 I believe, or was it '79? Haha, no matter, my mind was in a bit of a euphoric haze at that time...comfortably numb ;)
They had a couple of trucks parked outside the theater providing the power. Also they used some studio film superimposed on the audio because they lost footage from a technical glitch.
Rich, David Gilmour is auctioning off 120 of his guitars in June maybe one used in this video among them. Speaking of David Gilmour, he came back to Pompeii in 2016 with his backing band playing for live audience at the same coliseum that he & his mates from Pink Floyd recorded Echoes Parts 1&2 in 1973. Besides 1973, it is actual 1st time history of Pompeii having audience in the coliseum since 79AD. Videos of his 2016's Pompeii's concert are on UA-cam.

Watch the last tlme dave gilmore played this live with Richard Wright it's by far the better and dave said after Richard died he would not play it again as a mark of respect to him its yet again another wonderfully creative piece of music by pink Floyd they are fantastic
imagine if they hadn't lost four rolls of film on he way home, this would be the greatest vid of all time, once more
If Floyd,I would suggest the DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (Time,Great Gig in the Sky) and PULSE LIVE Time.Songs like HIGH HOPES,COMFORTABLY NUMB,etc.....a lot to play for sure ;)
There is way more to Pink Floyd than the radio hits.
@@northvilletunnels They just started.Dont overtax them in the Beginning....
@@ingovonderluhe2174 I was referring to you lol.
@@northvilletunnels I myself prefer much more complicated Bands and Songs.....concerning to MY personal music taste,Pink Floyd is Mainstream in General ;)
@@ingovonderluhe2174 Just the Floyd you prefere. The radio hits are fine for the casual fan.
Echoes you guys did echoes I so love you😍😍😍
This was the sound that made me realize heaven exist. Only god can create such an amazing band that completely blew my mind off with one song and made my heart cried with joy to the point I can taste my tear drops. Anytime I have a long day at work and need to unwind this is the song for me. I love Pink Floyd 🤗
This is live. In Pompeii. Look up Pompeii if you don’t know the significance. Wow. Can’t believe they were allowed to do this
They did play at the same amphitheatre a couple of years ago ..it was at night in front of a crowd
If you want an excellent version of Comfortably Numb that not many know about. Check out 1980 live in Berlin. In my opinion the best live version of that mesmerizing song.
England will never produce bands like this again, a great moment in time. Thx KnR.
You have got to play Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. It stayed on the Billboard Top 200 for 14 years! That will never happen again!
Can you imagine it...live at Pompei..no one there..just pink floyd
No disrespect Rich, but Kel, I never thought this version of Echoes could be sexy, but my word, I know you're not old enough to be a flower child, and you're groovin' to it just like a twenties stoned young lady LMAO! Thanks guys!
MORE PINK FLOYD❤️❤️
Try her on some Emerson lake and Palmer most of their music was based on classical
This. Is. Tha. Jam!!! Gets my vote for best Floyd song.
Love Echoes but Fearless is my favourite on Meddle as the Spion Kop sings at the end and ive stood on the Kop and sung YNWA myself
Such a groove jam! So made for...........well...you know what it's made for! ;-)
Yes....Floyd is best on head phones......or a good surround system put on "all channel stereo" mode!
