This how I've seen it because I've seen both the Echo and the vmod out of the box now several times on different channels and the vmod wins! It's a little faster and stronger I'm guessing because the muffler is plugged on the Echo. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
i just picked one of these up last week and i got it with the 1/4 pitch bar and it was binding up really bad. i got a oregon nano speed kit for it and now its cutting pretty damn good. id like to port it but ive just never done it before. but hey i figure its a good saw to start with since it was only like 150 bucks
