Y'know, you can just play without spending any money by just leaving right before the mission ends or replaying missions you have already beaten in the tour. You don't have to spend any money at all other than that first ticket. I've probably play MVM about as much as casual, and I've only ever bought 6 tickets, 2 to beat 2/3 gear grinder missions, 3 to beat 3/4 two cities missions, and the one I currently use to play. There's no need to lose money.
@@dylanperry4861 or you could be playing Community MvM which is free, a lot more interesting (hundreds of missions), and the majority of players are reasonably competent.
And I am not happy about the fact one ticket for one game, rather than one ticket for a lifetime or just free for a lifetime. Yes, Australium stuff would be much cheaper, maybe less than 5 keys a weapon, but from what I believe in, this is exactly how the game should be. I just don't get why someone would spend $6000 on a rare weapon THAT ISN'T EVEN PHYSICALLY EXISTANT! While still pretty foolish, I could partially understand if someone spend $6000 on a real pan made of some type of expensive gold alloy for a decoration in their home, but the fact that this is just a file on your inventory is ridiculous. If you have $6000, spend it on something useful. Buy a used car, use it to pay some bills, or just invest it, and if you really think the $6000 are pointless to keep, then just donate it to someone who needs it more than you do.

I find it funny how whenever UA-camrs talk about MVM, they seemingly ALWAYS mean Mann Up. As if that is the only functioning version of MVM that exist and playing anything else is an act against God for some reason. Like, sure, if you wanna gamble and loose money, play Mann Up. But if you just wanna play MVM... Play Boot Camp, right? Like, it feels dumb to say "Oh, you wanna JUST play MVM to play MVM, and don't care for any item drops? Okay, play Mann Up and loose real life money in the process." Like, what is so bad with Boot Camp? I feel like it's in a similar boat to F2Ps. Like, why do people hate on F2Ps, oh it's because they are completely new to the game, and don't know how it fully works. Although technically speaking the existence of professional gamers who have never spent a penny on TF2, yet have thousands of hours, DOES exist. So, what's the big deal? Is it status? Why are we judging people based on status? Based on their purchasing ability? Like, "Ha ha, dumb F2P, you can't purchase anything because you are poor. Ha ha." Why make fun of that? I never understood it. And then there is Boot Camp. Why is it always ignored? Because you gain no reward for playing that mode? Like, technically speaking, you don't ACTUALLY get any reward for playing Mann Up either. Unless you are EXTREMELY lucky, you will ALWAYS go in minus in Mann Up, because you will always spend more to play it than you earn back. Yet for some reason, Mann Up is superior to Boot Camp. Again, is this status related? Like "Oh look at me, I have an Australium weapon I got after playing hundreds of Mann Up games, and loosing like thousands of dollars over the course of several years." How is that a bragging right? And how is THAT bragging right superior to Boot Camp? I honestly never understood much of this, even after 1600 hours of TF2, I never understood the aspect of ignoring the existence of Boot Camp, while blessing Mann UP as the only MVM mode that matters. That as well as the whole F2P thing. It's sad.
Basically buy ticket lose 2 dolla monkey brain sad 😢. Play mvm get some items sell them 1.3 dolla back. Ohhhh monkey brain see number change monkey brain loves it. It needs more. Is the basic jist of thing. Like I speak for majority when I say it's better to play and see change (even if negative in numbers) then to not see it. Basically gameplay and no change only feels good for a month or two. But get some junk and play and every time you see that junk memories come back BRIGHTER because monkey brain loves change. Hey if you think and don't fall for it. Congratulations you smart
i actually got the austrailuim eyelander on my first fucking tour. When i unlocked it, a tour 1k engi started screaming his butt of on mic. and i just started laughing and crying. it was so awesome.
i feel like spending items worth a lot of money in a video game is a reasonable way to show how passionate you are about the game. money can buy happiness if you know what you're doing
I don’t think there will be a time where I buy an mvm ticket, People say it’s a waste but getting a free tour when buying from the official store in the goodie bag they give you for me is like “I have a pile of tickets now. I don’t wanna use em.”
so storytime I was on my tenth tour and ironically I wanted to play as demoknight but my teammates were like "Nahhhh" So I decided to play heavy and halfway switch to demoknight and of course have fun, then when the end of the round came on my 10th tour I got an AUSSIE EYELANDER I was so fricken hyped! It was like 2 am in the morning and I was absolutely ecstatic! Oh this will forever be my favorite memory and also my first austrailium weapon
the difference between gambling stuff like crates and gambling in mvm is that in mvm you are forced to play and have fun and even at the end of the match (sure you can just check what items you got right as the round ends but wheres the fun in that) you still have to wait until its your turn to see what items you got which is even more exciting as you watch everyone open their crates with it slowly coming to you, and even then you keep the ticket until you finish the match so if you ever wanted to stop you can just leave and sell the ticket and get your money back so its a win win for everyone, but gambling stuff like crates is not fun at all, you just watch weapons slide across your screen meaning you already have a general idea of what you're getting unlike in mvm where you have no idea at all, and even when you do get what you wanted, where's the fun in that? sure you can sell it but it doesn't feel as rewarding as playing 3-6 rounds and getting lucky enough to get a aussie/golden pan
Now if you're looking to make a profit, of course stuff like MVM is a bad idea. However, if you just wanna get some fun cosmetics, I wouldn't say it's so bad. When you gamble with real money for real money, losing grants you literally nothing you didn't have before, while at least gambling with virtual items means that you'll always get something.
After 24 tours of two cities, I never got anything good. I switched to Mecha Engine and Expert. Where instead of 4 tickets to gamble for aussie u need 3 tickets, since there are 3 missions. Yes you don't get mvm parts but still, on Mecha it took me 16 tours to get aussie scattergun and stickybomb launcher. I feel like the 0/3's are luckier or it's just me.
This is why I have no desire to go to casinos. I don't like games or activities where my chances of winning a prize are completely based on luck and chance. I like games that reward me for being good at something or at least dedicating my time towards something.
Two things: 1. At the time of typing this comment, it is the 69th to be made on this video. Nice. 2. "I'd rather have my own than buy one off the market." This is the exact reason I want to play MVM for an aussie RL. Trading for one is better than the market, but I don't have the keys. Using the market isn't a good option either, as spending $150 on a virtual golden weapon isn't worth it financially or sentimentally.
This stuff is why I play on Boot Camp and Potatos servers. No one plays anything but Two Cities and I only play for fun and nothing else. It's sad people don't view MVM as a PVE side mode. But simply a slot machine :/
Usually it'd potentially be a profit Every tour for a chance at big bucks is 4 dollars I've done 12/13 tours and got 2 australiums, among other things. 4 × 12 = 48 bucks, and it seems aussies go for around 50 bucks. If that's not good enough, the kits and metal can add to it, knowing finishing kits of popular items might give you some extra cash. Especially professional kits, I got 5 keys from a prof. Kritz iirc. Not as good as an aussie, but it's still getting back. Who knows how lucky or unlucky you can be.

Basically gameplay and no change only feels good for a month or two. But get some junk and play and every time you see that junk memories come back BRIGHTER because monkey brain loves change. Hey if you think and don't fall for it. Congratulations you smart
I got my first australium which was the australium minigun at the 3rd tour
i actually got the austrailuim eyelander on my first fucking tour. When i unlocked it, a tour 1k engi started screaming his butt of on mic. and i just started laughing and crying. it was so awesome.
i feel like spending items worth a lot of money in a video game is a reasonable way to show how passionate you are about the game. money can buy happiness if you know what you're doing
It's still virtual items tho????
@@surrealtastic virtual items can hold as much meaning as an entire 300 page novel can, it's just animated
Who didnt know that was gambling. I love gambling
"Gambling sucks" mfs when they get an australium rocket launcher
I just play custom MVM missions in community servers.
Boot camp: am I a joke to you?
i love yellow frying pans
in Brazil a mann up ticket is R$5.00 (0,99 dollar cents) ;-;
First person in 11 years to say mvm is gambling
I don’t think there will be a time where I buy an mvm ticket,
People say it’s a waste but getting a free tour when buying from the official store in the goodie bag they give you for me is like
“I have a pile of tickets now. I don’t wanna use em.”
Do you lose any money in mann up though? It's 1 dollar.
And good video, i expected this channel to have more subs. Pretty underrated.
when you start counting it up yes 1 dollar is a lot
per ticket
so storytime I was on my tenth tour and ironically I wanted to play as demoknight but my teammates were like "Nahhhh" So I decided to play heavy and halfway switch to demoknight and of course have fun, then when the end of the round came on my 10th tour I got an AUSSIE EYELANDER I was so fricken hyped!
I got australium medigun on my third tour, never touched MvM since
Now if you're looking to make a profit, of course stuff like MVM is a bad idea.
I feel like the 0/3's are luckier or it's just me.
there's 2 choices: sell ticket for refineds or gambling
On my first tour completion i won a over 30$ pro flamethrower fabricator
This is why I have no desire to go to casinos. I don't like games or activities where my chances of winning a prize are completely based on luck and chance. I like games that reward me for being good at something or at least dedicating my time towards something.
I bet I was the only one who recognized TheLivingDead at 1:00
3 ticket, expert tour, gold medi gun.
Two things:
GRASS IS GREEN
pyro is nuts on tank rounds lol, heavy does 75% reduced damage to tanks. and medic is a waaaaste. mad milk + health on kill!
people don't want others to play pyro a lot because gas passer is SO busted.
I will play my very first MvM (Mann up) soon, what tips will ya people give me?
Don't
No joke on my tour I got a Australium force of nature.
Really I’d never thought
I made 60$ off an Aussie flamethrower, that was fun.
This stuff is why I play on Boot Camp and Potatos servers.
No one plays anything but Two Cities and I only play for fun and nothing else.
It's sad people don't view MVM as a PVE side mode.
But simply a slot machine :/
Usually it'd potentially be a profit
Every tour for a chance at big bucks is 4 dollars
I've done 12/13 tours and got 2 australiums, among other things.
My first ever crate I got an unusual
It was a $60 kick dance with deep sea rave
Speaking Facts. Nice video man
What? MvM is not gambling, it’s just a chance you can win totally not gambling
i will play mvm for so long that i get two pans and then i will turn them into scrap because i need it to craft something
Honestly I play it for fun and for loot, I’m also a addicted gambler so idk that MIGHT play into it
