HT118A/HT118E Multimeter Calibration Step Instructions

1. Press and hold the "FUNC" and FLASHLIGHT keys at the same time, and adjust the gear to CONTINUITY mode;
2. After the multimeter screen displays CAL, wait for the program to self-calibrate for about 1 minute;
3. The screen shows that the DC is completed, just turn it off and restart.

I’ve had this meter for years and was very sad that all of a sudden the screen was bugging and it was way off spec. Then I found this video and realized I accidentally “calibrated” it while using. Recalibrated and it’s as good as new!

thanks. should be in the manuel. Also the temperature unit change. Also why does it show a temperature when no k element is connected? should be OL. very misleading I think

How long are you supposed to wait while it recalibrates

2. It calibrates when you change the measuring goal.

not calibrated at the end.. you just done nothing.. you entered in Calibration mode but nothing changed. There are other buttons to calibrate and need reference Voltage DC to calibrate. I have same calibration procedure in my CEM dt-9xxx series multimeter, but need to enter with other buttons. I will make a movie soon how to calibrate multimeters like this with reference voltage.
