Dr. Fuhrman is the only doctor that doesn’t lecture to be liked or to be in a completion for popularity. His message is for people that want to understand things in a wholesome complete manner and not in a prescribed way where one follows directives to the T and if not the peel will damage your body. That kind of prescription without understanding the nature of any peels would be leading to just chase the formula without understanding the motive. I salute Dr Fuhrman for having the integrity in saying what he knows as the truth. And as science is facts as one sees it and can change if there is more things to learn, I prefer to understand things when I see results in me that has proven the facts and doing that is challenging in the world we live now but thankfully it’s changing and encouraging to see that in my life time. Thank you for having him and sticking with your mission in educating the public.

How do you do a whole plant-based diet for children.
Also, does dr. Fuhrman disapprove of the rice diet.

    • @lulitmelake7534

I’m not a doctor but the evidence from lots of plant based raised children reflects that it can be done specially if you start them early enough that their pallet adapts to the subtle and diversed taste of plant food specially if it’s made with low salt & oil ( I started my children with no salt food when they were young and to this day, they cook their food with minimal or no salt but add variety of spices instead.
If you make fruits and veggies available in the house, and make it easy to grab and snack - that will satiate their hunger and it’s easy to grab and eat…. You can even have humus or any other home made easy dips that will ease any kid in eating more raw and steamed veggies.
Dr. Fuhrman prefers other grains than rice because of the arsenic found in them and the fact that white rice tend to peak glycemic index because of lack of fiber and for that you can always add plenty of veggies in the sauce like celery, beans , peas and other legumes or veggies that have plenty of fibers which help avoid reduce the but if rice is the preferred grain you can serve that mixed with veggies

Such TRUTH. Sadly, most people are willfully ignorant and will not act on this information. I am 9 days in, and ALREADY feeling all the things he's talking about. I'm all in!🌟❤️😁 When I get that sensation that I used to think was hunger, I tell myself that is my body "switching over" to using the glycogen stores. Not hungry.....yet ....👍

I discovered Dr. Fuhrman two weeks ago. I have been watching his videos non stop and I started following his advice. I started on Friday and I have lost two kilos. I am high raw and I had come to a. I had tried excersizing and nothing was working. I usually ate fruit in the morning and lunch salad with grains like spelt, rye o kamut, sometimes lentils. I added like two tablespooons of oil, avocado and more seeds on top. At night cooked vegetables or another salad. Sometimes I ate Spetl flat breads that I make at home. To loose the weight I remover the oil, the added nuts on the salad amd just made dressing out of them and instead of cooked vegetables at night at 8:00, I replaced with another bowl of fruit at 18:00 as dinner and then more more eating until the following morning at 10:00. I will continue eating like this until friday, then add cooked vegetables for dinner. Thank you doctor.😊

As a long term recovering drug addict and a long term whole plant food eater trying to maximize success as a nutritarian, this is really a fun and clear discussion. With drugs it's very clear what complete abstinence means, we don't drink beer because we gave up pot or vice versa. With food, prior to learning about a nutritarian diet, it was very unclear - okay don't eat white bread, cheese, oil, etc. Eat vegetables, beans, berries, fruit, seeds. Okay. What does a sex addict or someone who uses sex in a way that's not always in their long term relationship best interest do or not do. Where is the clear line and the refusal to cross it? I'm very happy and a little upset right now because I have lettuce, mustard greens, and kale in the greenhouse, and I can pick a medium salad every day, but I wish I had more. I feel like the organic produce in the grocery store isn't quite as good - I guess it's still quite good, but I wish I was growing more right now. I definitely want to think about how to improve my garden / get ready for spring. I want to have a large heavily mulched area (manure, paper or cardboard, straw, food waste), so if I can get a bunch of seedlings started I can just go around with some finished compost and make little nests in the mulch and plant 100s of seedlings, go back inside and just come out once in a while to pick something and weed a little bit or re-mulch. The permacuture designer Bill Mollison talks about the designer becoming the recliner. And how to find a place to relax and lay down in the garden so you can go outside and your wife thinks you're working. Beautiful how things (people, food) are designed to work and when things work as they're intended good results happen wholistically. Like growing food around your house builds soil, reduces carbon, causes no travel, industrial pollution, mining, fossil fuel use, economic iniquities (and inequities), etc. It's just all good. Neighborhoods should all have food forests. Homes should all (or mostly all) have gardens. People who don't want to deal with a "normal" job could tend the gardens. We wouldn't need or have as much food or transportation costs, we could live with less money, have more time, and have more health. Less "health care" costs.

This is the part that makes me nuts about many vegan doctors. I would love the citation for table sugar raising IGF 1. Also if you eat white rice which is only 1 gram less than brown rice of fiber, with beans and mixed green vegetables in the same bowl, how is that a high glycemic load. But, the diet is healthy because of the beans and vegetables - did you know brown rice is contaminated with arsenic? Otherwise brown rice would be clearly better than white. - It's not healthy because of the white rice. So, the white rice is compromising the H / C ratio of the total, i.e. the diet is possibly healthy in spite of the white rice not because of it. So, if you chose to degrade the quality of your diet, you might be doing enough good things overall that you're further along on the healthiness scale, but that doesn't mean white rice is healthful or isn't unhealthful.

If you're not losing weight you may have to eat larger portions of lower calorie foods and smaller portions of higher calorie foods. So simple and obvious in one way, but practical and useful in the light of a nutritarian diet. Okay, more lettuce, more steamed low calorie veggies. Mushrooms, onions, eggplant, tomatoes - I'm getting hungry. Steamed greens. Smaller portions of nuts and seeds (but at least 1/2 ounce per meal), smaller amounts of beans? Maybe. Less grains obviously. I need to eat less dates.

With some beans (buy large organic bags from Azure - it's like dog food for people), soak it overnight, boil till soft. And some dressings or sauces involving nuts or seeds. Lots of onions and garlic. Fruit for desert. It's incredible. You could even use a very small amount of animal foods for a garnish or flavoring. The ONE thing that ALL successful-diets have in common is BOYCOTTING SUGARS (processed/refined ingredients & ingredients nobody can pronounce).

I understand the idea of fat spiking in the system if one is eating crisps or chips as the US calls them or ice cream. But what about oils on food like vegetables and beans. I'm just wondering if you chew your food well how does the body know that that The oil you're eating is separate and not something part of the food you're eating. For example If you defatted a nut like it's possible to do by powdering and extracting the oil and then you ate powdered nuts with a nut oil added back on How would your body know that that had happened if you chew it very well. Obviously a weird example but just normal beings with oil on how would your body know that you're not just eating some type of nut, genuinely curious. Thank you for your videos.

Oil and sugar on plants do get buffered a bit by the fiber in the plants. So they're not as bad as separately. However, still better to get these nutrients from real food, because of all the extras in foods like fruit and nuts.

If that makes you more attractive it shouldn't increase your obligations to anyone. It might give you more options. Hopefully, you're in a place where people aren't trying to violate you if you're clearly uninterested. That should be a separate issue, though, you don't want to hurt yourself first because you're afraid they will hurt you. Take care of yourself. Find other ways to defend yourself if necessary. I would look for ways to avoid those things - dress ugly, scowl. Move to a nicer safer neighborhood. Interact with nicer people.
