I read that for some people taking Ozempic there are a number of side affects. One is the stomach and intestines are not working properly, they are becoming paralyzed. People are going to the emergency room because they cannot evacuate their bowels. There are weeks old food still inside them.

Watch more of his videos- they are all free to watch. He is an M.D. and you don't have to buy his products. He always says you can make his salad dressings, etc yourself. I have his first book but he says more research has been done since. Eat greens, beans, onions, mushrooms (cooked), berries, seeds, every day. He is vegan but he does not say everyone must be. Don't pig out.

@@maroulio2067 I am very aware of Fuhrman. I typically eat his GBOMBS. But I also eat the starches that McDougall recommends. Having tired both diets I found neither is an advantage over the other so now I blend them both with greater success. However, I am in no better shape than my friends in their mid to upper 80s or friends in their mid 70s.(Im 74). They eat the SAD. When I look for hardcore scientific data on pubmed its either lacking or contradictory. There is just no consistent science out there. Even Dr TC Campbell and Essey have had their work brought into valid questioning..

I have Prostate cancer, Gleason score 3+3= 6..... low grade cancer. Biopsy showed it in 4 out of 12 core samples. PSA is 7.7 to 8.1, I am scheduled for proton beam therapy at the Mayo Clinic. Am not too excited to get it, but what is the alternative ? I have seen a lot of videos on here saying cancer can be starved to death through going on a Ketogenic diet, or water fasting diet... I have high cholesterol , take Atorvastatin every night, and was told to stay on it by a cardiologist since I have hardening of the arteries Artheosclorosis, plaque build up in the arteries at 68 . I understand the Ketogenic diet promotes eating a fatty diet like whole eggs, and meat ...which is exactly what I don't need, even if it is touted as starving the cancer of glucose from reducing my carbohydrates intake.which turns to glucose, and feeds the cancer cells..... so it's like a catch 22 situation....any suggestions, or just go with the proton beam radiation therapy (5 doses) at the Mayo clinic........

I hope you are well and following protocol. But do your research. There are options.
You can follow Drs orders and still eat your keto diet. Fish is lower in saturated fat than red meat. Grass fed meats are better than corn and soy fed. Same for eggs. Get pasture raised animal products if you eat them. Non GMO plant foods. Drop the harmful grains and processed factory foods. Switch to whole raw or cooked leafy, low oxalate greens and garden veggies. Virgin Olive oil (real, not fake) is your friend. You can be keto on a low saturated fat diet.
Best wishes for a long healthy life.❤

Right now, we are all confused ad nauseum regarding what to eat, what is good and what is bad. Keto, carnivore and all those between that continue to confuse us.
All these gurus come on their podcast and claim they have the secret truth.
And we don't get the real story because there is no knowledgeable authority to expose all these snake oil merchants.
Who should we believe? Now Dr. Fuhran is saying don't eat seafood eventhough I agree on most of his ideas.

@@blueberry4082 I think we need the mother of all debates by bringing all these podcast gurus around a table chaired by a knowledgeable moderator. And let them go on each other throats. We will see wh is going to win.
Dr. Steve Gundry is the one who everytime he comes on , scares the hell out of me. He says plants visavis lectins are out to get us.
Dr. Berry the carnivore not only suugests to avoid fruits, vegetables and carbohydrates but he wants us not simply eat 95% fats, he wants us to drink fat.
And dr. Berg says you got to eat at least 4 eggs a day not to mention the very fatty meat including organ meat.
Why don't someone arrange a debate that inlude the following people.
      1) Dr.Fuhrman
      2) Dr. Berg
      3) Dr. Berry
      4) Dr. Steve Gundry
      5) Dr. Peter Attia

Be careful of gleaning too much from cherry picked meta analysis studies. Many of them are amalgamation's of weak methodologies and sourced from questionnaires and the data captured or excluded based on bias, many confounding factors. Its bizarre that questionnaire studies still lay the foundation of much of our nutritional advice. Agree that removing processed foods/drinks, sugars, grains and vegetable oils from diet will improve your overall health immensely, but from personal experience vegetables and nuts have not done me any favors and create a lot of dissatisfaction with meals. Also salt is essential as there are multiple functions that it support.

He is dealing with hard scientific concepts that are challenging to understand even if he speaks slowly.
