My BMI is between 19 and 20. I have never smoked. I don't drink and I don't take drugs. I walk 90 minutes daily. I eat a whole foods plant-based diet. I will have to see if it qualifies as nutritarian. I am 67 years old.
Love Dr. Fuhrman and the Nutritarian lifestyle. Of all the plant based doctors, his advice has been the most helpful to me. Both my husband and I are down to our ideal weights and feel amazing, thanks to him.
Dr. Kurisko, this is an excellent interview and conversation. I, too, think Dr. Fuhrman is tops and really enjoyed hearing your story as well. Thank you so much!!🙏🏻❤️ I think this is one of Dr. Fuhrman’s best interviews ever!!🙌🏼
Dr. Fuhrman's points are so accurate. The changes in restaurants have been so astronomical. And I have struggled with raising my children during the 2000's. The pediatrician told us that my son's weight was prediabetic. He is 24 now but he is still struggling with his weight. I remember telling the doctor what he ate, and I couldn't compete with the restaurants. My husband couldn't see what the big deal was. I am still struggling to stop giving in every time he wants to go out to eat. I realize now that we are both food addicts.
Hello @doyd - I get it. Going out is a struggle. Perhaps start with picking chinese or asian restaurants. Although you're likely to get hit with lots of salt - you should find some filling and flavorful veggie dishes and even tofu dishes. When Lee and I venture out - we have never had a problem creating a vegan pizza or if we have to - we can always find potatoes and veggies if the selection is limited. My hope is that more restaurants will offer veggie burgers. Soup also is a great place to start - along with a salad of course. I will say though - we eat at home a majority of the time. I would encourage you to batch cook - vegan chili and lasagna. We are always available to help. We offer coaching as well at www.kuriskoandco.com
Love Dr. Fuhrman. His approach to excellent nutrition as a part of moderate caloric restriction is just irrefutably healthy. I could toss in a bunch of anecdotes as to how beneficial his advice has been to me (no more diabetes!), but the large scale scientific support is far more compelling!!
Thanks @djjerrymquse - sorry for the delayed response. We are busy working on a cancer documentary and interviewing patients that went the WFPB route - coupled with fasting - getting phenomenal results. Please come back for more!!
Hello @maarj923 - we wish you well concerning your health issues. A WFPB lifestyle can truly work miracles. Let us know how we can help. We offer one-on-one coaching if needed. Check out our website @www.kuriskoandco.com to learn more.
I love listening to Dr Fuhrman and learning from him and I have for quite a while now. I try hard to follow his guidelines. But the Trump comment was not necessary. My politics do have nothing to do with how I choose to eat
Hi Dr Fuhrman any idea for breast calcification? What a woman can do. My second question is about breast thermography versus mamogram.. I stop doing Mamogram 2 years ago although I have breast calcification.. I eat healthy I am a plant based eater with minimal consumption of olive oil. I really like your diet.
Sorry for late response. Breast calcification usually is benign. It requires the expert eyes of a radiologist to assess which calcifications could be cancer. The more common benign breast calcifications are not a health risk. The decision to pursue screening mammography is a personal one to be made in discussion with your doctor. I suggest that you view this video for more information. ua-cam.com/video/2w0U2Qb30m8/v-deo.html As far as screening with thermography goes, don't bother. It has no scientific validity as a screening tool.
Not sure on the wrinkles but I wouldn't be surprised if your tinnitus gets better with drastic changes in your diet. I too suffer from tinnitus and it only annoys me when I focus on it. Mine coincided with the covid vaccine I received - which did nothing to protect me from getting covid. I regret taking it. Joyce
Although Joyce and I definitely have our own political views, for the purpose of this channel we prefer to remain apolitical and should have edited that out. We are keen on educating and helping people of any political affiliation.
@annemccarron2281 I'm not even defending Trump. It's just amazing to see how childish a doctor can be when he should be talking about medicine instead of his political nonsense. He goes way beyond Trump. He lets us know how he feels on topics that are well disputed and easily split the country down the middle. I absolutely don't care what the doctor thinks about these things. His opinion, as far as I'm concerned, is ill-informed and I just don't care. He is brilliant when it comes to food. That's what I listen to him for.

Furhman is the best!

Great to hear! His approach is very comphrensive and bound to produce great results.
I really enjoyed this interview with Dr. Fuhrman.
Excellent interview. I loved all the questions you asked him. One of the best interviews I've seen!!! 😊 Thank you for sharing!!!!!

Thanks so much for chiming in @ggcruise!
I just found you and I’m happy I did. That was a great interview!! I’m going to try and catch up on your other ones.

We agree. In hindsight we should have edited that statement out completely!

Get deodorant with no aluminum.
Seaweed and Edamame and walnuts have omega 3
Can my wrinkles and tinnitus go away ?

@ My tinnitus started when I moved into this house 10 years ago.
I still ❤ Dr Fuhrman even though he makes negative comments about those who support President Trump 😁
Eh, politics are for idiots. It’s a divide and conquer technique used by elites for a long time.
We agree
These nutrition doctors need to keep their politics to themselves. The late Dr McDougall said the same kinds of things and that was a turn off.
He couldn't help himself. He had to throw another Trump bomb. Like a child. At least I get something out of his medical advice.

@lkuriskomd I think that's a good practice. I highly respect Dr Fuhrman's nutritional advice but just can't handle his political stuff.
This guy is a real piece of work. He will love the next four years when we retake the White House from these bafoons.

WTF...did he just bash Trump!? I have no more respect for you. Keep politics out.
Trump supporters are smart!❤
Yes, we are
Agree
Trump supporters comment makes you look foolish.
It was an editing oversight and my apologies. We prefer to stay apolitical. Thanks for watching!
Should definitely not bring politics into these discussions
@@kuriskoandcoNo, you should not have to apologize for your guest's folly.
