The car looked a little different back then hey! I know this videos production quality is much lower than you're probably used to. But if you can see past that I think you'll enjoy this series. Let me know your thoughts here in the comments!
That’s cool, I’ve had many conversations with people about my respray and I love hearing other people’s stories It’s great talking to old timers to get tricks and tips on how to get a cleaner paint job at home.
Great work! I just got my ae86 running and plan to work on it with my kids. The plan is to teach them how “not to suck at being poor”! 😂. We will be doing the majority of the work ourselves.
@@rekik66 that’s awesome, I love that quote I should put it in a video someday. If you teach them well then one day if they manage to become rich financially they’ll still have the skills to live a fulfilling life. This respray was really challenging for me but also one of my proudest accomplishments
Yeah nah, best part of learning how to spray a car is that next time you get a ding or a scratch, you just shrug it off cause you know you can fix it easy peezy.
I guess that’s true, I’m usually pretty chill whenever something happens to my bodywork But I also think it could go the other way because now you know how much work it is to fix 😂
Thumbs up because you got rid of the panda stripes - they are such a cliche. 2 pack/epoxy primer is non-porous for people who can't top coat right away.
Epoxy primer is magical stuff, I didn’t know that it was non porous though. Makes sense as it’s usually what most people reach for to seal a project up.
Hey brother quick question. Did you guys dremel the oil inlet on the block for the 7A to help the flow from the SilverTop pump? I know that the 4AGE pumps don't perfectly align with the 7A oil inlet because of the slightly taller block. Seen people dermel it to match better, what'd you guys do?
@@feral4mr2 possibly, I’d never delete anyone’s comments. I just changed the comment moderation in the back end so it shouldn’t happen again if you want to give it another try. Sorry about that
@@NEVER-LIFT hrmmm.. It was quite a speel... Haha I couldn't remember it all. Was basically about restoring a work mates '65 gt Cortina for his sons wedding 3 years ago. Thought you might like to check out the videos I did of it.

I applaud your commitment to painting the car as I hate paint work lol
It was definitely a challenge
I think you might just hate the prep, painting is the fun part
A slow process, but a rewarding one! Takes me back to preparing my KE20 in my parents carport many years ago.

@@NEVER-LIFT Thanks! Looking forward to seeing your journey with the 86!
Great way to learn about doing things by just having a go with what ever you have laying around mixed with enthusiasm 👍.
I continue that theme throughout the entire respray
I don’t skip the ads to show my support

Sick, something my car needs asap
Having a fresh paint job is a great feeling
Todays the day! Well done 👏
It’s finally time 😂

The interior looked like a headache to strip.

Yes Mat port matched the block, I believe it’s mentioned somewhere in the series probably part 1
@@NEVER-LIFT Thanks for letting me know. Appreciate it.
I wonder if it the painters name rhymes with See.
