I just got a Photon, and none of my early prints were working. Even the test cube looked like it had melted. Turns out the cube file was calibrated for green, and the bottle I got was Eco Orange. Your handsome mug got me through it, and now I'm happily printing my miniatures. :) Thank you so much.
Got my Photon last night. The test cube came out perfect on the first go! Can’t wait to try new ideas but I’m unsure about the settings for other models 🧐
I've only tried 3 resins. The one from Longer 3D that came with my Orange 10 printer, which actually gave very nice results, Anycubic Grey, which took ages to print, like twice as long as the Longer resin. Finally my favorite so far, Siraya Tech Fast (grey). Really fast, low smell, and it looks nice.

But the UVglass from the case -the Dior, the sides and the top -(yours are red my are blue) are so dirty from resin. I want to know how Clean this plexi UV glass. Do you have a Tipp for me. Wow, things have changed with the Photon in the last year and a half. Mine didn't come with resin and I had to prepare the test print in Photon Workshop. Also, the version of Photon Workshop it came with doesn't save the files correctly so I had to download the latest version.
This is probably a dumb question. I have the spreadsheet but where do I put all those settings. I have made 3 small minis I sliced them with the default settings but I have had 5 fails. What’s happening is it will run for a few hours and the when I can see the print I notice that only a few supports are there and nothing else. Please help I am only 3 days in and am learning. Now, I need to get more info about the numbers. Like cure time, layer height, etc. I find it confusing. Do you have a video that includes something like 'this number means this and if you change it higher, this is what you can expect, if you change it to be lower, you can expect this instead'. Your content is awesome, BTW. Learning so much!

You might check your bottom layer exposure time to see if it's high enough. Do you have Facebook? If so, check out the Photon Facebook forum. All the folks are super helpful in with troubleshooting.
Have you ever tried mixing 2 colours together? Like pour Green on one half of the vat and pour blue on the other half and print them to get a mixed color print? I would assume you would have to get colours that have similar curing times and properties.
Question. I did the cube, something happened, using anycubic black resin, but I did the exposure test and they all came out fine. The cube seemed like it was sticking to the fep so it deformed it, idk if it’s cause of not shaking the resin, but has this happened before?
Do you have an opinion on the new version of the Photon? The Photon S? It has two Z rods instead of one which would theoretically help with Z wobble? I need to print VERY small parts (1 to 2mm) with as much accuracy and detail as possible.
That's a really good question. In theory, it would help with Z wobble and give you superior prints. As far as the Photon S is concerned, I was disappointed that Anycubic decided to go cheap and use plastic on the case rather than metal. I have been reading really good things about the Epax X1 and have reached out to them for a review. Not to knock the Photon, but the Epax has fixed a bunch of items that were lacking with the Photon v. 1. especially in the area of Z axis issues. JINX ALERT!!! After just watching this and doing my 2nd print ever on my machine, I got a memory stick failure at 88% completion. UGGHHH! Time to replace that stupid USB stick.
Shoulda watched this first lol. My first print was a failed yoda, which failed after 10 minutes but I didnt realize I could pause it. Next print was successful with minor body lines at the beginning of the print, third print failed, fourth print failed for various reasons.
I’m brand new to 3D printing and chitubox as well i recently purchased a 3D print that comes in different parts that connect to re size the print to make bigger or smaller I was wondering if anyone knew how to enlarge all pieces so that they will fit at a bigger size I know how to enlarge the parts but I’m confused how to make sure they are all big enough so parts connect at right size
Amazing how many beginners videos don't bother showing the actual process, they just describe it . . . no filling the vat or removing prints or washing prints. . . . it's like a video on how to ride a bike, where the presenter never actually gets on the bike and pedals.

Off topic I was going to say I bought the ezy=0 levelling adaptor and do I love it cuz I don't have to worry about it ever Getting move out of position from it being leveled I don't know if you're familiar with that easy oh but it is a very good upgrade for the people that are having problems keeping their plate level not that I did but I just wanted to upgrade something and that was pretty much the only thing that I found as an upgrade LOL you should look into that and make a video about it if you want info let me know I give you the website where I bought it from

The Anycubic Green in particular is garbage. I only use Sun now

Have you tried the wan hao washable resin on the photon? And I can't find any info if it is toxic like standard resin(to touch)

Try B9 resins or the same resin envisiontec or junction solus.

Why do you need a new USB drive? Also why do you need to reformat it?
Usually the USB drives that ship with the Photon are junk and I suggest replacing it with a reliable one.
