If you like, I’ll send you a little each time you do a reaction, such as ; When visiting South Africa at the age of 7, Amira saw these school kiddies playing in the dirt without playground equipment . She thought to herself that this was so wrong, so when she received enough monies from her performances ( after winning Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine) she donated playground equipment to a particular school. As of now, I think the number of school playgrounds donated is 16. How does a seven year old have such wonderful philanthropic attributes? Cheers again, Graeme
Such a special performance by Amira - tear inducing everytime - got me to listen to a few more of her past performances like Amazing Grace and Your Love - incredible - great reaction Highly Combustible - thank you
Wow! Thank you for this amazing and wise reaction! Great job! Most of Amira's performances are for charity. And those who aren't, she donates (since 10 yo) half her income to her foundation that builds playgrounds in poor schools in Africa. Keep up the great work!
the following year at thirteen she appeared in a concert with the same people she sang Nessan Dorma ,Then a duet with Corlea Botha who is an opera trained singer they sang The flower duet which is fabulous. She finished up singing Amazing Grace.which is I reckon the finest I have heard.these are all available on UTube.
Tony when she sang the flower duet with Corlea Botha she was singing with her now permanent voice coach Corlea is also Amiras manager after she chucked Sony record's who wanted to totally rule Amira and she wasn't having any of that clever girl.
I'm not shy about saying she is the best voice ever, of course for me. Went through UA-cam opera no one affects me like Amira. I like a lot of these younger singers. I agree with her Grandmother, she is a gift from heaven to the world.
amira is the peoples singing angel she belongs to the world. come on america and meet ANGEL AMIRA HER VOICE IS ANGELIC. HER HEART IS BIGGER THEN HER VOICE AS SHE HELPS AFRICA CHILDREN
The beautiful light from Amira's heart and soul shine through her radiant eyes, her heart-melting smile, and her unbelievable voice! AMIRA -- Persian for "Princess"!
Highly Combustible--she has no "butterflies" when she walks out on the stage. She is just genuinely happy that she gets to sing for people and they appreciate it!!! Thanks so much for reacting to Amira. You have become one of my favorite reactors as you enjoy the music!!! BTW--I almost never listen to Amira without a few tears--that voice!!!!!!!!
Amira is indeed a joy to listen to with that powerful, varied, clear, soothing soprano singing gift. Her unique musical intonation and interpretation come naturally from her inner soul and touches your heart. A humble, kind, down-to-earth young girl who at the age of 10 started funding playground facilities for young children in Africa. Her angelic, genuine impression pours out in all her songs - for example, Amira's recent rendition of "The Lord's Prayer" is simply heavenly.
nella fantasia aka Gabriel's Oboe written by Ennio Morricone for the movie the mission. Sarah Brightman loved the song so much she wanted Morricone to write lyrics for it. at first he refused. Sarah pestered him so much that he relented. hence one of musics most beautiful songs.. As usual the little Princess shines.
This beautiful aria with music by Ennio Morricone from the film “The Mission,” and lyrics added by Chiara Ferraù is about an imaginary world of peace and harmony. I presume the implication is that this is the fantasy of the missionary which provokes enormous irony. The “mission” of the missionary is to persuade the indigenous people to abandon their cultural traditions and superstitions in favor of the missionary’s culture and superstitions. Europeans generally regarded indigenous peoples to be “savages” in need of “salvation.” So the fantasy is presumably about a world of European culture and superstition, rather than of any sort of diversity or inclusion.
Congratulations Highly Combustible . Sensational reaction for one of most great performances of the fabulous Amira . Amira is a sea of emotions I myself was crying again watching this reaction . I d see your other reactions to Amira and these are all wonderful reactions . you should react to Amira , medley O mio babbino caro / your love ( from the movie Once upon a time in the west ) And you had never react to Amira singing Nessun dorma
Another great Dutch talent. What a voice, like I am in heaven. So young and already so much talent. She belong next to the other great young talent Angelina Jordan. Love them both very much. Love your reactions, always so positive and happy. Keep up the good job. 💪❤
She has grown, only 17 and already singing superb, one day she will be a great star and sing in all the big opera houses in the world, but that will take some time, in opera you are just a beginner. Opera is great to listen, i love the duet Barcelona with Freddy Mercurie and Montserat Cabballe, maybe you play it one day.
The venue Amira performed at in the Netherlands at 9 years old was bigger than any opera house in the world so technically it would be a step down for her Lol 😆 !!!
@@Kevin_Lyon I am losing a lot of faith in the people there with people like you that leave comments like this. Maybe that is why she moved to South Africa

I don't believe she moved to South Africa because she wasn't happy in the netherlands but because her parents divorced. And her mother went back to SA. Her father is still living in the netherlands.
Revisiting your Amira reactions.... so good .. if I could give you another 'like' each time I would! I keep repeating this .. but if you haven't reacted to her duet of ' I'll Walk with God' with a fabulous South African tenor, you gotta do so. I'm not religious but that duet is just beautiful. I've run out of words to describe Amira! 😊... You said it... She just calmly commands the stage.. every time.. I really appreciate your many reactions of her.. I can't imagine how great her next whenever online concert will be. The two last year were fantastic.
One of the reasons why young children should be confronted with a wide variety of music and art is that it massages their brain to appreciate the richness any kind of art has to offer. Being born into a music loving family Amira was bathed in music from even before she was born. You can hear that she understands music, probably even before she started to grasp mathematics and other school stuff. Diversity is key in creating a pliable brain being able to appreciate the richness life has to offer. It's a shame that the importance of music and arts are still downplayed in education. So you're right: be open to any kind of music. You might learn to appreciate and enjoy it!!
I never use to think of opera as child’s play, but Amira has proved me wrong 😂. You talked about all the people there to make this performance happen. Think of this, they are all adults, professionals, and they all practiced for this performance. Shows their respect for this 12 year old girl and she deserves it. Great reactions. ♥️
There are two live recordings of this song sung by Jackie Evancho that you will enjoy viewing. One was from her PBS concert dream with me in concert, and the other was a video clip from Sharon Osbourne's show The Talk.
That's it i am going to start watching all the Classic Is Groot DVDs again. I know this one is Africaan is Groot, but the Classic she is beautiful too.
What about Gabriella's song? She sings in Swedish. Altogether she has a repertoire in about 11 languages and speaks Dutch (her own language), English and Afrikaans fluently.
Her performance of Ave Maria in Lecce, Italy was one of my favorites... also I thought her performance of Pie Jesu was outstanding.....yet these two performances have few if any reactions
This music piece was part of a wonderful movie called The Mission. One of the best ...the music is so well integrated. Please watch it with this beautiful music. ...you get a better understanding where it comes from . Actors include Jeremy Irons, Liam Neeson, and Robert De Niro. Music composed by Ennio Morricone. Just a beautiful musical score and movie. And Amira makes it just as beautiful!

Hey HC - just to let you know that Amira is performing LIVE on 20th March at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria in South Africa celebrating her 18th birthday and 9 years in the music industry - I and a big group of family and friends are attending this performance and it's going to be the best of the best in music to compliment her outrageous talent - can't wait - and look forward to your reactions to this concert...
In the sequence of Amira's songs in South Africa, this comes after her introduction to the SA audience in July 2016, at the Coleske Artists concert "Classics is Groot" ("Classics are Great"), at which she sang OMBC, and then called Patrizio Buanne onto the stage for a duet performance of the 1890s Neapolitan song "O Sole Mio" - the video of which went viral - see ua-cam.com/video/dDESzUuZuC0/v-deo.html ; she was so popular after that debut that Coleske Artists invited her back for the performance you just reacted to, at the "Afrikaans is Groot" series - which were initially nine concerts in November of that year, but after Amira came on the ticket, they had to extend the series to 11 concerts. Amira's parents had to bring a tutor from Holland with them, so she could keep up with her schoolwork - school is compulsory in both The Netherlands and South Africa. In 2017 her recording contract with SONY expired (evidently three years seemed to be the limit for a contract with a minor) so Coleske Artists snapped her up, and she performed in the 2017 "Classics is Groot" concerts (three concerts) at which she sang "Nessun Dorma" (from the opera Turandot, by Puccini), then the Flower Duet (from the opera "Lakme") by Leo Delibes, with Corlea Botha, then "Amazing Grace"; and she recorded her third album. Her parents split up in 2017 because her mother had contracted an incurable disease and needed to get away from the cold wet climate in The Netherlands, so she migrated to South Africa on January 1, 2018. At the 2018 "Classics is Groot" she sang "Gabriella's sang" in Swedish, plus "Halleleuja" (Not the Leonard Cohen version), plus a duet of "Amigos para Siempra" with Patrizio Buanne. In 2019, she performed again at "Classics is Groot" singing The sound of Music, to which you have already reacted. Then Covid 19 reared its ugly head, and of course she has mainly concentrated on her schoolwork since. You will also find videos of her at "Starlight Classics" with both Cecilia Rangwanasha (a soprano with the Capetown opera) and Sunnyboy Dladla (a Tenor with the Berlin opera), but these are cell phone videos from the audience.
All fantastic performances. While totally love Amira. This orchestra needs a huge shout out. Fantastic orchestra. One of the best I have heard. I have many albums from orchestras all over and from very early orchestras. This one adds so much energy
"Nella Fantasia" sung by 12-year-old Amira is wonderful with a pure and beautiful singing voice! 🎼🎤😃👍👍Amira is doing something impossible in her 12-year-old performance 😳
The singers are from Africa. Her voice is maturing now. She started with no training (used the internet), and they had to teach her top read music. I think she's fourteen here, and is 17 now.
She has a heart of gold for the less fortunate. Love what she does on the side and yet a beautiful voice. I have made some small donations and bought every thing she sell and some multiple copies
Love this performances This took place November 2016 and she was 12. This African is Groot. In the Classic is Groot concert ( same orchestra).that took place in July 2016. She sang the same song beautifully, but you can really see her face aged and vocals totally got better. I live in California and bought the DVDs from these concerts 2016-2019 from Amira's charity. I need to give a shout out to this orchestra They put on a he'll of a show. Each with many different performers all truly fantastic. Of coarse Amira is my favorite. I thought I might give you two links to other performers in the show, but watch the Orchestra they have so much energy. The first by Jesepth Clark Bohemian Rhapsody. You will think you are listening to the original. ua-cam.com/video/QghCxgQCztg/v-deo.html The second is by Patrizio Buannes ( he does two duets with Amira in other performances. He sings Tom Jones song Delilah ua-cam.com/video/Y93ixjRpGVc/v-deo.html While at it here are two links with Patrzio an d Amira O Solo Mio ua-cam.com/video/dDESzUuZuC0/v-deo.html Amigo Para Siepre ( Friends For Life) ua-cam.com/video/wILh10ToQIo/v-deo.html
I especially appreciated your comments abut being unable to constrain emotion. Amira regularly makes me cry even here although I have, like this performance, seen it many times previously. I had thought that maybe I (and the man at 6.46 minutes) was the only one who felt tears form and I was therefore maybe a little strange for doing so. Amira is wonderful but I fear this was when she was at her peak and that she will loose that pure youthful angelic voice as she nonetheless matures into the world's best ever soprano. Her Nessun Dorma is in my humble view better that Luciano Pavaroitti's
Let me see if I can explain a little of what you're seeing: This is an annual presentation in South Africa, called "Classics is Groot!" (Groot is Afrikaans for Great.) So, huge audience, many singers many featured performers, huge orchestra.\ many great performances. COVID has shut it down in recent years. Such a shame. Your are enjoying two pieces in this performance: the first is "The River", followed by Amira singing "Nessa Fantasia". The flute player in the blue dress, by the way, is another featured player, sorry, I don't know her name.
Please listen to ‘You’re song’ by Ennio Morricone. This the theme song of Once upon a time in the West. With a live concert. And she did a live concert of Amazing Grace with backpipes and a big choire. So Amazing. The world must no how great she is.

Dafydd Where did you get the info on Frieda Willighagen's disease? I have looked and cannot find any info. Please let me know.
@@billharmon8599 Frieda stated it recently in a South African interview; it was posted on the Amira Fans site.
"Nella Fantasia" sung by 12-year-old Amira is wonderful with a pure and beautiful singing voice! 🎼🎤😃👍👍Amira is doing something impossible in her 12-year-old performance 😳
Young kids sometimes have old souls❤️
The singers are from Africa. Her voice is maturing now. She started with no training (used the internet), and they had to teach her top read music. I think she's fourteen here, and is 17 now.
She is 12 here. This took place in 2016.

She has a heart of gold for the less fortunate. Love what she does on the side and yet a beautiful voice. I have made some small donations and bought every thing she sell and some multiple copies
❤

I have never seen her perform when she looks nervous.
Gabrielle song is also beautiful!
I always felt if I can get tears watchin a video, imagine seeing her live. I would need a bath towel
Nella Fantasia is written by Sarah Brightman Listen how she sings it but take live version
the first performance from (1) Amira (9) verbijstert iedereen met opera - HOLLAND'S GOT TALENT - UA-cam is the best

"Gabriella's Song"
Let me see if I can explain a little of what you're seeing: This is an annual presentation in South Africa, called "Classics is Groot!" (Groot is Afrikaans for Great.) So, huge audience, many singers many featured performers, huge orchestra.\ many great performances. COVID has shut it down in recent years. Such a shame. Your are enjoying two pieces in this performance: the first is "The River", followed by Amira singing "Nessa Fantasia". The flute player in the blue dress, by the way, is another featured player, sorry, I don't know her name.
Could you give a listen to IL VOLO please, they just did a tribute concert for Enio Morrocone and also sang this song, it's one of my favourites x
Please listen to ‘You’re song’ by Ennio Morricone. This the theme song of Once upon a time in the West. With a live concert.
And she did a live concert of
Amazing Grace with backpipes and a big choire. So Amazing. The world must no how great she is.
Love your suggestions. Only the first one is You're Love
She's like Elvis out there!
