There are female singers all over the world who are good at singing, but even among them, Amira is not a singer created by humans. People are fascinated and get goosebumps and shed tears. Amira is special.
Amira is widely considered the best singer in the world. Over 1 billion fans. Also receiving a 50,000 standing ovation at the age of 9. On Hollands got talent.
At 18 now she has only gotten better!

12 year old girl, singing about her dreams of a better world, where people live in peace, and are free, like the clouds, that fly. There is a version with an English translation. It's not surprising people are brought to tears, but is also the beautiful purity of her singing that touches people.

This beautiful aria with music by Ennio Morricone from the film “The Mission,” and lyrics added by Chiara Ferraù is about an imaginary world of peace and harmony. I presume the implication is that this is the fantasy of the missionary which provokes enormous irony. The “mission” of the missionary is to persuade the indigenous people to abandon their cultural traditions and superstitions in favor of the missionary’s culture and superstitions. Europeans generally regarded indigenous peoples to be “savages” in need of “salvation.” So the fantasy is presumably about a world of European culture and superstition, rather than of any sort of diversity or inclusion.
The first 2 minutes is another Ennio Morricone composition called "The River" with the voices of the Mzansi Youth Choir, then Amira comes on stage for Nella Fantasia.

A bit of background information: Amira's introduction to the South African audience was in July, 2016, at the first of a new style of concert put on by Coleske Artists and aimed at the white population of Johannesburg and Pretoria; they called it "Classics is Groot" ("Classics are Great"). She was a guest artist at that concert and sang "O mio Babbino Caro" (from the Puccini opera "Gianni Schicchi") and then a duet with Patrizio Buanne, "O Sole Mio" (O my sunshine) - a popular Neapolitan song from 1892, and then "Nella Fantasia" which is a song written by the late Ennio Morricone from the popular Italian film "The Mission". The concert you have just reacted to was from November 2016, called "Afrikaans is Groot" (because it was aimed at the Afrikaans - speaking population); Coleske Artists had planned nine performances, but when it was announced that Amira would appear, they had to increase it to eleven performances - and Amira's parents had to bring a tutor from The Netherlands before Amira's school would allow her the time necessary. The introduction is called "The River".

Woah big lump in throat time. Gabriel's Oboe was a favourite piece of music of my dad's which he asked for it to be played at his funeral and as we walked in to the church to this piece of music the sun came out. Took me right back there. This young lady's voice is soft and pure and was so right for the piece.
'Amira Mania' .. in her fan group whenever anyone was sick they'd often say I'm getting better, I'm on my Amira vitamins as listening to her is the best medicine🥰

Loved your intro, and agree with accommodating your fan base as apposed to one segment of the fanbase over the other if they checked out your selection of other artist then they might broaden their own musical horizons, wouldn’t that be fun
