I really hope he still isn't struggling, you can empty the trunk, make sure you have a grinder and grind instead, you can replace it easier and take it off easier,
@@yardman47 oh okay that makes more sense, I got a V8 ss impala, I'm hoping I can replace it soon as my park manager doesn't like cars sitting outside for too long
Not a big deal? Mine just went out today in Gallup, NM North of Gallup by speedway. I, didn't know my fuel pump went out. My car started but shuts off itself. I, couldn't hear the buzz from the fuel take due to heavy traffic noise. I, was towed 32 mles away ana made it home safe. Thanks to my cousin Stew. When looking into what was the problem and I, finally didn't hear the buzz from the tank. I, call Oreal'y they said the fuel filter goes with the fuel pump. 403.77 for fuel pump and this will be a challenge for me becuase of new model vehicle. Older ones are simple.
Vent valve or purge valve, vent valve will be under the car it will be near the gas tank, the purge valve will be under the hood fine a green valve cap look thing and follow the the hose to the purge valve, those are the two items that allow the gas tank to vent when filling the tank with gas air has to escape...
Because they actually want you to come back to the dealership to have it replaced, there intentially making it harder for the average guy to do the challenging work...
It's actually not that bad of a job, Advance Auto have me too wrong fuel pumps that where my time went had to take it to them to show them I had 3 ports not two, so it's actually about a 2 hour job..
Very helpful looking forward to future videos
hi this is a blessing my first time doing this do I need to relieve any fuel pressure? I read some where take the fuel fuse in fuse box off.
Don't the evap canister control the air when filling up gas? since its sitting right on top of the fuel tank.

No my car the owner was a lady and she didn't want wholes drilled under the back seats or in the trunk..

Amigo deberia y hace falta un video donde esta ubicado el filtro de gasolina de los impala 2006 al 2013
How many miles on the car when the pump went bad? Thanks
What mileage did the pump go at? Thanks in advance.
My mothers car's fuel pump went at 68k..
Just depends on how many times you let your tank get low fuel needs to cover the fuel pump to stay cool or it will burn out
Mines went out at 180
So I have my fuel tank loose, with the straps removed, and it just kinda hangs there. What am I missing?
I have the same problem like you, whats the solution ?
@@sultom8175 it was a really specific one for me. The customer installed a subwoofer and the screws were in the tank causing it to hang
It'd be really crazy if you ended up with the same problem 😂
I got this exact car color and all. Hope I never need to put a fuel pump in it but if I do. O well I’ll do it
Thank you sir!

So I'm guessing this one don't have access under back seat maybe they stopped in 05 I'm fixing to do one myself guess I'll be dropping tank. ✌🏻
Is that the charcoal canister mounted on top of the tank? Can’t find any information on my 2012 impala. Gas won’t go in at fuel station…

That thing that you couldn't call , was that the EVAP canister ?
How Do I Know If Its Fuel Pump?
I would be checking for crusty ground wires and power connectors before you start pulling that tank.
why did they cover up the port inside the trunk to replace the pump and now make harder!?

Took 7 mins before you started working.nice video
Thanks you, and thanks for watching, I try to get right to the point.mm
Great content 👌 the 🌍 loves it #should have said size of bolts on gas straps and the filler kneck process also show us the exact hoses
What tools you use for the bolt straps
Regular 1/2 inch wretched and couple extension nothing special..
We cut the floor😂
good job!
I have a 2014 ltz impala limited . I'm having the same issues
It really isn't that bad of a job taking the tank down, especially if it's a 1/4 tank or fuel or less..
What tool do i need to get the bolts off
You'll need a fuel line disconnect tool Gm or universal one I picked mines up from Harbour Frieght
You didn’t show how to do anything
This is what I'm saying he didn't show us the steps to take it off u sukkcc homie
Damn dude u talking to much
4-5 hrs how🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️
