  • Welcome back to #WhatsStockTV
    So I was previously having trouble with the coolant temperature sensor but i replaced that and for the most part everything was good. It just started acting funny again and with the temperature bouncing all over the place and finally the "Engine power reduced" message showed up and I figured out I had a cracked radiator. Fast forward to now, I'm changing the radiator but while I'm doing that I figured I would go ahead and change the thermostat too so everything coolant related would be new.

    How did you get the housing out without taking the hoses off, you didn't show that part. Is it only because you don't have the radiator in that you were able to do that?

    • @89imp03

    • @tellinthatruthgame8785

      Just to clarify the original thermostat only had a gasket for whatever reason and the new thermostat didn't need a gasket correct? Because I noticed my original thermostat had a gasket but the new one from Auto Zone didn't so I went back there trying to find a gasket for it.

    • @89imp03
      @89imp03  5 днів тому +1

    There should be a cardboard cylindrical tube in The box with the thermostat put that tube over the top of that round plate of the thermostat push down on on the tube with your hand which in turns pushes down on those wings twist and turn and take the thermostat out. Put the new thermostat in use the tube push down on the tube which pushes down on the wings twist and turn and the wings will go right underneath those two side brackets on the housing.
