Im not here to prove loa is real and the infinity of information and that possibilities of the universe or beyond human comprehension, but there are the different perspectives to look at it,and every single variation of how you perceive and approach everything is true.if you keep worrying that your intrusive"bad" thoughts are manifesting and the" good"are not, then why are the bad manifesting? There are no good are bad things the universe is neutral ,only this civilization labeled one phenomena as bad and other good because we were raised with that "truth"and never dared to ask is there another one.And the so called LOA doesnt have one specific or even a 100 ways of how to transform current(programmed)realities into other experiences,we come up with ways and tha law is operating at all time, but psychology sees it as a placebo or bias, physics sees is from an energy stand point, the ones that believe in gods think its god and so on.Sorry for the long comment, darling, the thing is dont resist those intrusive thoughts let them be,and practice simple practices that allow you to adopt new thinking patters, like gratitude journaling,or just thinking pleasant things without obsesing over the manifestation, you will just get tha state of obsession running around in circles .If the INPUT(your thinking and behavior doesnt change) the OUTPUT (the external world, and everything you see)doesnt either, stop listening to gurus and listen to your intuition and intend to navigate your mind in a certain direction.

u must heal all your past trauma that causes intrusive thoughts before u try to attract positive things. your subconscious mind is too negative right now and wil beat your conscious mind every time, its the driving force off nearly all our thoughts. if u attract the negative instead of the positive, u have to get rid of the negativity FIRST

hey! the same happened to me two years ago. i don’t have ocd but i suffered emotional abuse for years and have tons of trauma and thought-related issues because of it. LOA is branded as ‘positive thinking’ by new age youtubers and social media influencers, when this really isn’t the case. Your intrusive thoughts aren’t the essence of you!, just like mine aren’t the essence of me. 99% of the thoughts we have each day are monkey babble. What really matters is our subconscious mind and it’s beliefs, through healing our limiting subconscious (the best way is through therapy) and believing that we deserve good people and good things, we attract good

IVE NEVER HEARD SOMEONE ELSE TALK ABOUT THIS, i got into spirituality at one of the darkest times in my life, and i had one very very persistent thought (what if i dont love my boyfriend) i got so scared that i would manifest it that i tried to make myself not think for about two months before i eased out of it, i still dont mess with manifestation because of my intrusive thoughts.

    • @goodgrief9174

For everyone saying "not at all", just think about it. Can people in an area affected by war just start thinking positively and stop the war? Can people who suffer from abject poverty just wish the poverty away? What about people who live in areas that have no electricity, no clean water, no vaccines, no healthcare, not enough food - can positive thinking get them all these things?
When you're affected by complicated issues that were caused by difficult and inhumane social, economic, political and historical factors, positive thinking and Law of Attraction won't get you what you need - deep and thorough social and systemic change and improvements in the areas of agriculture, politics, healthcare and employment will.
If, however, you are a person living in a developed country who's got a steady, decent income and isn't marginalised in some way (aka, privileged), positive thinking could seemingly improve your life. I think that's what Mic was trying to say.

@@goodgrief9174Maybe. You could use positive thinking to contain any panic and fear you might have and come up with constructive ways to survive the war and go on to prosper. I know many people who have lived through wars (WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf Wars, people from Sudan, Syria, etc) as civilians and as military combatants. I never heard any one of them say that they made it through by giving up hope or by giving in to fear and negative thoughts. They all used hope, positive thinking and or faith in God to get them through.
I also know people who lived in abject poverty in 3rd world countries who used a postive mental attitude to get themselves out of those situations. They had to because no one is going to come and Hand you a Job, clean water, competent honorable politicians and HealthCare. You have to use your mental resources and get it for yourself. You think postively, make positive actions and Keep moving forward instead of giving up and saying that this is your destiny.

I also find the 'law' to be a little bit obnoxious and patronising when we consider, say, people who live in poverty in say, the Third World. Do those people just have to think 'more positively' and visualuse, meditate, believe, etc, in order to manifest better lives? It is a little sickening on our part to say such things, you know?

Rosangela Sena my comment has more to do with compassion and fairness. For example many religions pray for the poor and sick. It also has to do with the smugness and privileged position of many people concerning the law of attraction. It seems sometimes that the law is practiced by people who already have the basics of food and shelter, but want to be rich, or want a cool boyfriend, etc. It feels superficial to me when other people in this world are wondering how they’ll stay alive. Those people may have free will, but they are so swamped by the reality of survival, that they don’t even know what the law of attraction is, and to think that they could use it to say get out of an enormous refuge camp in an impoverished 3rd world country is unrealistic.

Believing in LOA has done more harm to me than good. Whenever I used to visualize something and not get it. I would just feel that something is wrong with me. That I'm not thinking positive enough. And also LOA influences 'Toxic Positivity'. When I was a strong believer in the LOA. And whenever I used to have a negative thought. I would just ignore that feeling or shove it down. It did work in the short term. But this has a more damaging effect in the long term. Because the more you suppress your emotions the more you will suffer. You know what has helped me is accepting things for what they are. And being in the moment.

As someone who's suffered with obsessive compulsive disorder for the vast majority of my life, the idea that my thoughts create my reality has caused me a hell of a lot of pain and guilt. OCD often involves 'intrusive thoughts' which are unpleasant thoughts, often involving harm to people you love, and people with OCD attribute a lot of importance and suffer massive, debilitating anxiety over these thoughts. The idea that thoughts will cause reality is literally the opposite of what every qualified psychologist has ever told me, and for a while when I was trying to buy into the LOA despite my better judgement, it caused me even more distress than I feel every day anyway.

I was duped into believing the LOA for years. I spent so much time dreaming and visualizing that I didn't confront the truth of my currently reality, that I was unhappy with my life and used the law of attraction as a way to avoid the problems I was experiencing, in hopes that I could wish for a new life and it would magically appear. Once I dropped the nonsense and stood firmly rooted in reality, I took charge of my life, changed the things that weren't working, and created the things I had been dreaming of. Now I'm living the life I wanted, but it had nothing to do with dreaming, visualizing, or thinking positive thoughts. What it came down to was hard work, being realistic about my circumstances, making an action plan, and taking responsibility for my actions and choices.
Also, I watched "The Secret" for 75 days straight in an effort to really believe, and in speaking with others and watching the movie with them, I discovered that there are several versions of the movie, which struck me as odd. The version that you watched is completely different than the others I've seen. Doesn't really prove anything, but it's interesting nonetheless.

    • @NadiaVenice

If you watched the secret that many times you would know that action is apart of the equation too. That coupled with positive thinking is what is “supposed” to work in your favor. Also it’s not only what you think about you’re supposed to generate the feelings associated with what it is want to manifest. However, in my experience I’m torn because I’ve done everything to the T for years and I have manifested different things but its been very inconsistent. I’m still torn on whether it’s real or not

You are so refreshing. ♡ Absolutely, the "law of attraction" is essentially, noticing whatever you focus on. And while it's important to wake up and take notice of the abundance of opportunities, and come up with creative ways to influence these opportunities in a way that steers you towards your goals, or adapt your goals to the opportunities available to you... the notion that being perceptive, proactive, or a creative problem solver is some kind of mystical magic, is based in a primitive mindset, and unfortunately throughout history, people have used obscure concepts like god, magic, psychic power, etc, to take advantage of gullible people, usually for financial gain. In this case, viral topics like the "law of attraction" attract a lot of views, book sales, seminar audiences, retreat attendees, because it's easier to sell snake oil than teach life skills... and if the people selling this info had those life skills, they wouldn't need to rely on "The Emperor’s New Clothes" click bait to peddle their nonsense.

Well the thing is it can hurt others depending on how it's used especially if you read other top comments where people end up
blaming themselves for not being able to manifest because they think they aren't believing hard enough, they are negative hence it's their fault and so on.
Or it's their fault that something bad happened to them or their loved ones because they attracted negativity..if you check the comments
They say many ppl blamed themselves for their loved ones death or any personal misfortune because they thought they were negative n negativity attracted those misfortunes.
That's the kind of psychological damage this can do.
and believing something will happen without
actions can make us prone to not taking action and only thinking about it which can waste out time ..
Also that all depends on what law of attraction a person is talking about because as the video says there is no one definition of it..some ppl believe law of attraction is just positive thinking and defend it but it's much more than that,if ppl just believe in positive thinking with
actions and logical thinking without suppressing negative emotions that actually helps but that isn't what most law of attraction preachers teach
Another way it hurts ppl is financially is that many ppl get scammed out of huge amounts of their money in places where law of attraction is used eg. Mlms, cults, spirituality retreats and scams use law of attraction
In a way that can brainwash and gaslight people if it's truly continuously fed and incorporated into their lifestyle..think about how horribly guilty people will feel
If they can't attract what they want and always blame themselves and their thoughts for any misfortunes instead of figuring out a logical realistic solution That may have worked long ago
If they weren't trapped in delusion of law of attraction.
Obv for ppl that believed in it for second and didn't make any financial decisions regarding it it might be nothing but a fleeting thought but to people that deeply believe and apply it into every core of their life entirely it can be a disaster.
It's similar to how people believe god will give you what you pray for hence ppl focus more on prayer than on actions and even though the result might have been far better if they had worked on it
They try to find multiple coincidental good things that happen and call it a proof of god's help while ignoring everything that went wrong because they didn't work on it or if they do
Acknowledge the bad it d b because of devil than admitting it could be because of coincidence/because they didn't work on it (in this case thing that's blamed is negativity).
So truth is quite grey and not as one sided as it's harmful or harmless because there isn't even a proper definition of it
Since the individual has to decide what the definition is and many ppls can differ but when LOA is used in the market to scam ppl (I m not talking abt healthy non toxic positive thinking by LOA which is ok) it's more in the dark grey and good parts are the exception.

Which isn't necessarily always a proof but if it works for them they can go ahead and do it as long as it isnt in a similarly destructive ways as this (without action) but if i do it despite it not working for me it ll only be a waste of time..But in case of positive thinking
When your nervousness can ruin things despite working it can help reduce that nervousness as long as you have worked for it..
All in all theres a reason people are duped though.. Its because of mass psychological manipulation and brainwashing any scams do, what seems basic logic to us outside the world
Can seem distant when a whole hall/stadium full(if you saw mlm seminars) or group of ppl are agreeing with it and it can make ppl doubt their logic when popular opinion is subconsciously considered right one, probably due to human psychology of
Sticking with the herd so us outside who havent experienced the brainwashing can feel like they r fools for believing it
Until someone explains their side.. Eg. If lot of ppl like a song but you don't and its not clearly horrible but subtly average/bad one is more likely to believe its good
But its their fault they didn't like it since so many ppl did instead of understanding that in internet world its more about marketing and money too that can make a song grow.
Similarly even if your(anyones) opinion is correct in a whole bunch of incorrecg comments in a comment section one might be slightly b hesitant to post the comment due to slightly subconsciously doubting themselves as to whether they are right/wrong and might want to reverify it to avoid embarrassment..
Kind of how its easier to go with the flow or population than against it..
and it can affect ppl that dont have information on the topic/have no means
Of verifying the information given and sometimes if its convincing enough with new concept that the victim hasnt kept up with despite being aware of the topic they might think they were misinformed and fall for it anyway
If they thought they were incorrect just because they couldn't come up with an answer themselves (so even ppl that are aware end up needing to verify n update n refresh their knowledge regarding it if thy dont wanna
      Accidentally fall for it.)..

There are flaws with the law of attraction movement like there are problems with all ideas that allow themselves up for interpretation. Issues of faith by their very nature cant be proven. Anyone who uses LOA to blame sometime or to act superior to others is a jerk just like someone who uses science as a mask of superiority is a jerk. This video is lovely. People in general need to think more critically of the information they consume and attempt to get a more rounded picture of the topics that interest them.

you need to study LOA before coming up with a conclusion like this. whatever we believe is what will continue to manifest. our reality can be whatever we want it to be. if you want to give into having the label of a mental illness you absolutely can, but there are ways to train your subconscious mind & give it an entirely different belief of what your current situation is. LOA is not "consistently thinking positively" it's training your mind to change it's reactions to negative situations etc. human beings cannot be positive all the time. vibrational frequencies and what we attract is just quantum physics, you can change your vibration and change your reality. you'd be blown away with the information you can discover with just learning about how LOA truly works. i thought it was nonsense when i first found out about it but all i had to do was dive a little deeper. also, the ego has a very hard time accepting the fact that we attract everything that comes to us. but energy and vibrations are science, facts don't care about feelings.

I use to cut myself and wallow in my misery 24-7. But I haven't been depressed for nearly 15 years, don't show signs of any of these "illnesses" they try to label us with. I use to have racing thoughts and purposefully focused on thinking absolutely nothing, it took a lot of focus in the beginning, having to force the negative thoughts from my mind. But eventually the thoughts ceased and were replaced with nothing but happy, positive thoughts. Now when it comes to having something like missing chromosomes, leading you to having permanent issues. No, you can't magically change into another person. But there are things you can change, within your power, to make your life better.

And about the collapse of the wavefunction (when the particle is measured and behaves like a particle again), well, no one knows what the heck is happening there. But the statement that you don't need a conscious observer is, as far as I know, true.

If you convinced yourself that the law of attraction will help you to be more positive and to focus better on your goals, it will work to open your eyes and find more chances or maybe get better in something (because you convinced your self that is the law of attraction, even if maybe you just become more present and learn to take chances) in fact there aren’t profs about law of attraction simply because it’s a thing we create in our mind to help us to achieve our goals. For me the law of attraction has helped me to become more confident, happy and consistent with my activities. I might be the black sheep in the comments but as someone who considers themselves an intellectual and who studied Astrophysics and quantum science for 6 years, I actually grew to appreciate the law of attraction more after studying it. The science you provided for quantum mechanics explains the common ‘proof’ really well (observing a system does change it but only because we have to observe it with light which changes the tiny sub particles we are observing) but it didn’t address the other common quantum mechanical relationship to law of attraction which is quantum entanglement. It basically is a phenomenon where 2 subatomic particles can be separated by infinite space time and connected by no physical force but when one is affected, the exact same effect shows up on the other. Scientifically everything in the universe is connected in ways that even the the most knowledgeable physicists can’t explain. Doesn’t necessarily prove a relationship to thoughts but I think it does show that energy and vibration (including emotions) matter way more than we can understand at this point. As far as the “magical” part, I understand the LOA as not necessarily envisioning something happening but invoking the feeling of achieving what you what to happen and feeding that feeling and energy constantly until it manifests which relates back to the physics side of it. Im a big fan of the LOA and your content, I’ve seen almost all your videos and love what you bring to UA-cam especially for your age! I’ve had life changing outcomes from changing my mindset in the name of LOA (whether that was the actual cause or not) If anything, like you said, applying it won’t do any harm in your life 😊

If everything is connected in ways scientists can’t even explain, then I don’t see how anyone can make the claim that quantum entanglement is evidence for the law of attraction. If we don’t understand how or why something is the way it is or what it does, then how can we say it is the cause of something else? It seems to me that it should be something we don’t draw conclusions on until we understand more about it because I’m not really sure how entanglement proves that our thoughts can effect external things without us taking any action on them :)

The law of attraction is widely misunderstood. You can't attract something with just your thoughts. The attraction does not work if there's no action in it. All these books make it seem like you can manifest something over night. They tell you to think positive all the time and that doesn't work because you'll be suppressing all the negative things and that will make it even worse. I cringe whenever I hear stuff like "only good vibes" because that is just fake happiness. And it's true like you said, it's mostly greedy people who want more than they need.
According to science everything that exists is energy and energy vibrates in different frequencies. Our emotions are energy. We are constantly manifesting different things and happenings with our energy whether we are aware of it or not. Most of us aren't and the majority isn't even in control of their own emotions (energy). We let other peoples opinions and actions make us angry/sad. We create scenarios in our heads that causes anxiety=stress which is proven to cause all kinds of physical illness in long term. And it doesn't help that we live in a corrupt society that is ruled by fear. Our outside world is a reflection of our inner world. The low energy of fear has been growing inside of us for decades and it literally heats up the planet and creates havoc.
People in developing countries don't have the privilege to be thinking about these kinds of things because most of them are living in survival mode all of the time. We who have this privilege are responsible to together change the system and that starts with changing the energy of the collective. We have to look ourselves in the mirror and start having control of our emotions and tame our egos. It takes years. Nothing happens overnight and certainly not without taking action.
It's good that the law of attraction and the topic of energy is being more discussed nowadays but things get misunderstood and people write books with misinformation and the whole point gets lost. This is the longest comment I've ever written and I thank you if you took the time to read it 😂
"Everything's energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics."

I feel like LOA and other such beliefs are so strong because privileged (white, rich, neurotypical) people would conveniently forget their privilege and just label LOA for the cause of their success. As a POC living in poverty I already had a limited amount of things to "manifest" from the getgo. I still love meditating, tarot and astrology and I don't want to give them up because they are fun hobbies but I've been adopting a more critical and scientific eye towards these things because I find that it actually produces results. The comment that "science can't prove everything" boils my blood because science itself is about proving things inherently. The scientific method is going out and figuring things out if they're true. That's literally what it is. And I think I'm going to rely on it more from now on.

The law of attraction is something I work with, but from a purely spiritual place. These "evangelists" have it backwards, positive thinking doesn't just get you whatever you want. However if your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual sides aren't all in alignment with your goals, that can very much hold you back from the good things that come to you. But just like your negative thoughts my hold you back from attracting what you want, lack of action or the WRONG physical actions can hinder you equally. Basically: law of attraction is spirituality, and anyone who tries to prove spirituality is doomed to fail because spirituality is only "true" through an individual's personal experience and perspective.

    • @livelaughs
      @livelaughs 5 років тому +8

@@AnnasAnalysis there is no settled definition of spirituality I can really point you toward unfortunately. I think I'd say spirituality is the aspect of one's self that lies outside scientific and historical fact. The soul. Deeply held beliefs. Magic *°•☆ if you will. And the law of attraction, as you discovered, is just that, a deeply held belief that has no basis in scientific fact. It just *feels* right.
Unfortunately the "law of attraction" has made its way from the spirituality section of the bookstore to "self help", and that is when people start trying to explain it with science and trying to prove it is effective for everyone. The truth is, the "law of attraction" is only effective if you believe it because it's not a natural law, it's simply psychology with some glitter and magic sprinkled on top. And good god I love me some magic dusted psychology. It's like cognitive behavioral therapy with pixie dust. But...ugh, it just really pains me to see it being preached as this life changing law of nature. It's like a lucky charm, it's great that it works for you, it's great that it's worked for a ton of people, but you can't go around selling lucky charms and promising people it will fix their life. That feels deeply unethical and irresponsible to me.

Reality is more like a mirror. Most often than not you attract what you are, and what you feel. If you're always worried about dying you're not going to attract more death, but more reasons to be worried. You attract more of the emotion that you feel, and not really the experiences. So when you visualise what you want, it's the emotion that comes with it that you are attracting, not the actual thing you visualise.

I think that LOA definitely exists and works however it is so much more complicated than we can even begin to understand. I feel as though people either believe it to the point of not really realizing how science is connected to it or there are people who simply do not understand it at all. I have found that I am a bit torn on the subject simply because there seems to be so much that we still do not know. I think that it does exist in some way because Manifestation and LOA just make sense scientifically if you really think about it.

Yes, not everything can be "proved" by science. Science changes and evolves, too. A "fact" is just an experience that a group of observers had (scientists) that they can all agree matched their prediction outcome. Who are these scientists? How do we know all the facts we are told by these scientists are real, if we haven't experienced them for ourselves?
In my opinion, LOA is just a watered down form of magick. Does it work? I have tried it and in my experience, it did work. Could I prove it to someone else? No. But that doesn't change my experience. I don't like LOA however because I don't like that form of magick. It's too fake/phony, it's popular with very rich very white people, it doesn't address the negative/dark side of life, it teaches people to suppress emotions. But. It still works. What does it matter if I can't prove it to you? I have already proven it to myself. It's your choice if you want to try it and see if it works for you. And if it doesn't? Then that means it's not true. FOR YOU.

Since end of last year, i had many experiences in which i questioned and challenged a lot of things that was happening and that i saw coming and there is so much factors at play. i can't explain how it works or why it works for some people and doesn't work for other people

This is very interesting, thanks so much for putting this together. I’ve found it interesting that the author of the audiobook spent so much time criticising Christianity only to proceed to employ the very same techniques herself: victim blaming and shaming, you didn’t pray hard enough, you didn’t do your manifestation right - whenever something doesn’t work in your life it’s your own fault - and don’t ask questions because you know the answers already/God works in mysterious ways. That drives me nuts. In a country with such a big part of the population being Christians - how do they not see that they’re being sold the same BS in a new package? That’s the secret I think, re-sell people something that is already proven to work to keep people wanting but not getting, keeping them from taking action and making them feel bad about themselves if it’s not working. That Rhonda woman made a fortune with that book - it’s obscene in my humble opinion.
Could you please review Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way? It’s super popular but I’ve found it downright harmful. I’d love to hear your analysis of that book, it is yet again another version of that same way of thinking. Thank you 🙌🏻

Science has changed the word angels into archetype and demons into neurosis. Example would be attracting health. Say it over and over and light a green candle and write health on it; then you would naturally do something good for your body. It doesn't happen overnight and not as simple as people portray it. But it's real to an extent. You have to know your limits and work with it and build up.

I, too, follow a (mostly) vegan/plant-based lifestyle, and am environmentally conscious and aiming to further reduce my consumption in all areas of life. I take guidance from eastern philosophy and meditation, as well as being in nature, yoga, and being around animals. A lot of the folks on UA-cam who are geared towards my interests are also not the best critical thinkers/researchers out there, whether that comes to looking at the nutrients in their diets, or their thoughts on manifestations, vaccines, etc. etc. There's a lot of semi-esoteric "positive thought" that goes along with these lifestyle choices in some circles that I just can't get behind, and find alienating. It's really a relief to see another young female who is skeptical about some of the claims that tend to accompany these other inclinations, but I also love the fact that you do it in a way that's soft-spoken and funny, instead of aggressive at all. It's been so nice finding your channel and I subscribed. I hope you keep writing on your blog, too! :)

I do believe in the spiritual powers of healing and stuff, but the idea of LOA is so harmful when it's teaching people that the entire basis of their reality is built purely from their mind. There are so many people out there who are so lucky and spoon fed who can say LOA did this. But then tell al the people who have endured suffering that it's all their fault because they had a negative thought and therefore they did it to themselves....without taking into account of any economic, environmental or scientific matter.... I've believed in it for many years and studied so much and not once did I attract anything I manifested, all the tarot card readings never happened even I had goosebumps from how intense my belief was at the time.....All LOA teaches you is that you will be punished for having bad thoughts and you must always be happy and that it's forbidden be sad. and because it works for SOME people but for soso many it doesn't, a minority of people are just just lucky, so they made a cult out of it.

There are so many questions can't be answered by science.
It's about a belief system and faith.
Dr. Joe dispenza has thousands of supporting documents and medical research.
It's all about belief and faith.
You are making money on your chaneland living a life style of the woman who is solving all these misconceptions because.
You are passionate about helping others
    You want to help
You work hard and your goal is to enlighten as many people as you can.
    And that's amazing.
You are making your thought a reality.
If that's not enough to convince you!
    Not sure what will.
You are attracting so many good people who think like you and can help you be more successful.
    That's the law of attraction.
    Simple.
It's a thought- a goal - a plan - and action dedication determination and consistency.
    Good luck
    Thank you

Growing up as a fundamentalist Christian this always reaked to me of the same thing as manifestation. You needed to manifest your healing. Guess what..... it never worked

Love these agnostic takes! I couldn't even finish "The Secret," felt purposely cryptic & allegorical, with shadowy sprinkling of Christianity throughout, drivel basically... I appreciate your open minded approach, I try not to judge others' beliefs because at the end of the day, a lot of this stuff especially religion, involves a leap of faith, and there's some beauty in that. I'm a scientific person so I want proof too. What's sad is people getting scammed from people pushing these ideas like manifesting wealth. There's very few shortcuts in life,.you get what you put in, in other words: you gotta work hard to get where you want to be! People are lazy and looking for a magic bullet.

Hey, I really enjoy your videos. You have a really nice calm personality. I really appreciate the effort you put into making these videos and the research you've made.
Just a comment. 22:42 Actually, gravity is not a law, only a theory. As far as I know(u can correct me if I'm wrong but)Nuton hasn't even formed a hypothesis for his idea, which means it didn't go through the scientific method which means it cant be called/formed as a theory....and it's like I'd said an idea. but I get that u can call it theory just cuz.

If my thoughts could manifest what I want
I'd have wealth so that I could help my children, friends, myself.
    The world would have peace.
People would not be homeless, or go without food/clean water.
    People would be healthy.
People would not kill, harm, or lie.
If I could manifest what I want, People would behave in a way that is respectful, kind, compassionate, and with dignity.

You only see what you want to see. This shows in your video and perdonality. If YOU change , the things you look at will change .

The book 'Prometheus Rising' by Robert Anton Wilson is all about the way our brains believe exactly what we want it to believe. 'Whatever the Thinker Thinks, the Prover will Prove', which basically explains that whatever I choose to believe, my brain will find those answers in my situation and match it up to the truths I put in my brain. So basically what you were explaining here in your video. He explains it a lot better and with more depth so I highly recommend you have a read.
Thank you for your insights into this. I'm a big fan of your videos!

I really enjoyed the skeptical analysis you provided in this video. I personally don’t like the law of attraction because it’s entirely self serving. I want therefore I should have??? What’s that about, and if you want something shouldn’t you work for it? Anyway I liked 99% of this video.
The 1% I didn’t like was the use of “the spaghetti monster in the sky” to describe a divine entity. I completely understand if you don’t believe in a god, it’s a stretch, and as you seem to prefer data over belief I can easily understand if god(s) are something you choose to disbelieve. My issue isn’t that you may or may not be an atheist, my issue is that pastafarianism as a descriptor for religion is inherently mocking.
People who believe in a god do so deeply, personally, and frequently culturally. Making fun of a person’s deeply held spiritual beliefs is kinda rude. As a religious person I would much rather someone just say god, with some air quotes to express their lack of belief then equate mine with believing in something as ridiculous as a pasta monster.
Yes god may seem like a pasta monster to you or to others but for me, a divine omnipotent consciousness existing in tandem with my own isn’t outside of the realm of possibility.
I would appreciate if that feeling wasn’t mocked.
*thinking about it, the air quotes thing could also result in a lot of negative feelings.

the spaghetti monster is meant to illustrate that no claim is beyond being questioned and examined and that deity claims r indistinguishable from any other claims that can't be demonstrated to be true ....and people shouldn't hold claims that can't be demonstrated to be true as sacred truth and thought at schools as a fact
the fsm was in response to creationists trying to sneak claims in science classes about a designer being behind life and the universe when that claim at best can't be demonstrated to be true .....and at worst they r trying to sneak a deity as the cause of something with established field of science which is identical to saying ...well u can't demonstrate that Zeus didn't come up with lightning or that Zeus has never affected lightning therefore Zeus could be a possible explanation and lightning is the proof of it ....and Zeus is just a place holder in this example

I’m sorry you took it that way but it’s not at all meant to mock religion or religious people. I did not say that the Flying Spaghetti Monster was a divine entity that I was comparing to a god. It had nothing to do with religion. I was simply listing an example of something we couldn’t prove to have caused something.
