I do have a manifestation story where I learned that I had just to ask the Universe and not worry about how it was gonna manifest. My dog is 13 and going blind so she was having a bad case of separation anxiety every time I’d leave for work. Tried the camera so she would hear me, that didn’t work. Tried leaving relaxing music on, that didn’t work. I consulted with her vet and she suggested some natural relaxing soft chews cause we didn’t want to put her on any type of medication for her to relax.Needless to say that didn’t work either.I was asking the Universe for a sign, maybe I can find a daycare, nothing worked. Then after a month or so of going through this ordeal and seeing my poor dog suffer, and thinking I’m running out of options, one day I found an abandoned young cat, and something told me I could bring him to the house and try and see if my dog would like the company, I had never had a cat in my life nor was I a cat person until that day that I felt this connection to this cat, he was so loving since the first time I approached him and he was licking my hands, so I took him with me and introduced him to my dog and it was like two old friends reuniting again, the energy was so loving and soft it was just too perfect! He has brought so much joy into the house and my dog is much happier and healthier! It would never occurred to me that a cat was the solution, but the Universe knew 🥰🐱🐶🥰

Tara is a gift to this world. When my dad passed, he was hooked up to machines to keep him alive, along with a brain monitor to see if there was any activity, there was none. However, when my children called him to say goodbye, he mumbled "I love you" to them and shed a tear. So yes, consciousness outside the physical is absolutely possible.

One morning at the spa where I worked as a massage therapist, I gave a treatment to a woman I had never met before. I started massaging her neck and face and noticed at the other end of the table what looked like heatwaves coming up from her feet.
And as the waves kept rising up, a presence made himself known to me. I couldn’t see facial features or colors, I just knew it was a man. He told me to tell this women that he knew that she loved him with all of her heart and that she did everything in her power and that it was enough and she had given him her best and not to be hard on herself, it was more than enough, please don’t worry, and that he loved her so very much.
This had never happened to me before and was scared to say anything to her because I thought I might freak her out. I was freaked out. I was afraid that if I spoke those words to her that I would be fired for upsetting a client. And, that is what I said to her when I was able to get the words out. And then I gave her his message. He was still in the room with us when I told her everything that he urgently asked me to tell her. She then told me she had been grieving the loss of her elderly father, whom she had been caring for in her home. On the day he died she was worried about leaving him to go to work or stay home with him because he seemed unwell. She fought with herself about it but decided to go to work. While she was at work, he passed away and she felt deep guilt for having left him instead of staying home with him. I was floored. But validated in that exchange, in going out on that limb with them.
When I was engaged to my (pediatric orthopedic surgeon) husband and started meeting people in the medical community, I saw how afraid they could become in the face of topics not based in science. I felt right away that I had to be careful with whom I shared my curiosity and interest in a broader take on spirituality. It’s understandable that the ground can feel shakey for people in the scientific community. Given the supportive platform such as this “Know Thyself” creates and supports a listening for Tara as a (courageous) sacred ground breaker. Grateful for you both!

I lived in a house that seemed like a portal. More and more things began to happen that I just knew. I could see faces, colors and words. I told a woman that a child was around her and that she's upset that her sister blames herself. Like, I just felt crazy. But, she validated me and acknowledged that it was her daughter and the topic was an issue. So many times. It's just a knowing I can't explain. I've moved from that house and it rarely happens now. Which is nice because it's kind of frightening, but more frightening how you'll be seen by others but you feel so compelled to speak, like it won't leave you alone unless you do.

My first time hearing such amazing information. This is really big for me in so many ways. 12 years ago today my mother walked in the spiritual realm leaving our physical world. An hour before she took her last breath. I sat next to her and meditated. I was able to connect with mom in my spiritual form. I walked up the gats of heaven were she looked healed and in a younger form then what she physically looked like in front of me. I head her voice in my mind and saw her through my 3rd eye. It was just the beginning of my spiritual awakening and beautiful journey up to this very moment ❤️🙏🏼❤️

I can relate. I had a shared death experience with my own father- and years later discovered a podcast
Between R.Raymond Moody and Dr. Eben Alexander and they spoke fairly casually of it- not just in family but in hospice nurses as well….it’s definitely out there. They call it SDE. It certainly changed me- I lived with people thinking I was ‘hysterical’ or something, but for me I had objective evidence that assured me of its reality….😊From one to another….

Stop listening to other people’s opinions because we know ourselves better than anyone else. Tip: do askfirmations and do them aloud. Why am I so happy now that I am in wonderful relationship? Why am I so happy now that I am financially free? That way you overcome the critical divide and go directly to re-programming the subconscious mind! Start small do up to three twice a day. You are most susceptible when you first wake up and before you go to bed. This is the time your conscious brain is less active and subconscious is in full force.

When I was about 8 years old, I loved my school teacher so much I used to stare at her really hard when she came close to me. I thought she was so beautiful. She had a mole on her face right beside her left nostril that I thought was really cute. One day she told us she was leaving town and will no longer be our teacher. I was devastated. I kept thinking I couldn't lose her and I must have something that reminds me of her, anything. I wanted to have a mole beside my nostril like her so I would never forget her. I wished it so bad crying all night.
When I woke up next morning, I saw a tiny clot of blood under my skin the size of a mole right beside my left nostril at the exact same spot she had hers. Over the following few days, the skin on top of that clot split open and the clot rose to the surface forming a black raised mole just like hers. It remained on my face for 35 years. My family wondered for years how I got that mole in the exact same spot like my teacher and I never said anything. In my forties, the mole started to change colour and went from black to unsightley greenish grey. All my friends were telling me to remove it. When I told two of them why I was reluctant to do so, they gave me that look like I was either crazy or thought they were stupid enough to believe it. I never told anyone since. Few years later, I had it removed. Now I'm telling you this because I don't care any more "how that sounds" or if anyone will believe. I know how far the "law of attraction" goes. I've been there.

One is no good without the other. Some people's psychological issues are from spirit and they have no idea. Some crazy people aren't crazy at all. They're possessed. Yeshua told us to follow him and cast out demons, but few believe and even less try. He never said one thing about asking the pope for permission nor authority. He said if we believe him, we have the authority to use his holy name to cast off evil,to heal, and to manifest.

Thank you so much for an awesome podcast.
Want to share what led me on the path to believing that the universe is self orchestrating:
In 1987 I was in the epicenter of a personal crisis. Then the telephone rang and both my friends were on the phone. He asked me how I was and how had the annual holidays been. I lied and said. Fine. Then he said that while he and his wife were on the W. Coast, volunteering at this retreat... He had occasion to sit under a pepper tree and meditate. He then saw me submerged in a deep pool.. Drowning? hands stretched out for help.
Hence their phone call to me.
Upon hearing that i burst into tears, opening the floodgates and related to them, my present turmoil...
Of course there were wise suggestions to support my well being etc and my life did change for the better and today as an 80year old... AM GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING IN THIS LIFE.

WOW this just clarified something for me...at 51:00 talking about beauty and creativity. Ever since I visited Sedona, Az for the very first time, I felt in my Soul I needed to live there, or like something told me "you belong here, this is your home." And when I'm there, I feel so inspired, creative and like I'm literally in my highest mind/spirit and energy. My goal is to be able to relocate there this year to help me on my journey as a coach and creator, and bring others there to heal and tap into their inner power as well

First listen! Love this! She has such a beautiful accent! On Nature, I prioritize it. It looms very large in my life every day almost every vacation is based on the outdoors. Most everyone can see at minimum birds and squirrels daily and be reminded of the great universe. My mother started me on it young, pointing out the robins and cardinals in our yard❤
I go for walks, bike rides nearly every day and observing what’s out there never gets old even the same pathways.
I have favorite trees i say hello to, repeat animals I see and greet. Touch beautiful tree trunks and hug them. Trees feel!
    Thank you!

The statement of goal setting the gap between where you are vs want to be is unhappiness... reinforces the writing out and visualizing goals and the logical steps to get there. That's huge. Cuz I've always been one of those yeah right i don't need to write out my goals i know what they are... but realizing the gap is what creates unhappiness vs staying on a goal step you are on the journey of you really think about it or write it out. Thank you. Now i wanna write out my goals and the steps and embrace actually writing them out now lol

I have to give props to the interviewer Andre. I have not heard of this podcast before and it came into my feed. I keep it simple for my clients- brain is a processing center based on anything you have consumed or experienced. New ideas, fresh ideas, new directions to take come from our higher mind aka intuition. What happens is our egos jump in and often derail us based on fear, other peoples opinion judgment. I listened for 15 min but wanted to say thank you and give props! 🙏

My sister and I have felt loved one's lives come to an end in our dreams even though we have not seen them nor heard from them for a long time and no one told us they died. Our family is shocked and think we're crazy, but I trust my sister's intuition even more than mine because she has proven it to be true since she had an near death experience herself when she was 9-yrs-old.

I really love the collaboration of these two. I am new here André and I discovered Dr. Tara just recently. And since I follow and watch his interviews. I am rewatching this episode for the second time.
Here’s the story of what I manifested. ✨🌌
To begin with, I was skeptical when I first heard about the Law of Attraction. 🤨 With my medical background, I didn’t entertain concepts that weren’t backed by science.
In 2011, I started manifesting my ideal man. Back then, I had no idea about 'manifestation' or 'journaling,' so I simply prayed for it. I was very specific about what I wanted his looks, age, race, character, and even his birthday 14th of November, just like my father (that was the sign that he is the one). Every after I prayed, I would visualize him in my mind, feeling as if it had already happened. I kept reminding myself that, despite the billions of people on earth, the higher power or something in the universe would make a way for our paths to cross and we would meet in the middle.
Yes patience is always crucial. After a year of praying, I stopped because I felt it wasn’t working. However, I would still sporadically visualize him, and somehow those feelings kept my desire alive.
Fast forward to 2014 I met a man on a dating site. We started as friends, and after a year, he visited me in my country. The rest is history. I’ve now been 7 years married to the man I prayed for and manifested. He has everything I asked for, including the sign his birthdate.
Whenever I think about it, I can’t help but smile. Like wowwwwww! I really cannot find words to explain to myself how can that happened. This is not the only thing manifested and came into reality. I also have had manifested not good ones. So Dr. Tara is right, to be careful of what you think.
I’m now fully into manifestation and spirituality. I feel so confident about the power of our thoughts. I am working everyday recoding my brain to be an area of positive believes and practicing abundance.

Just wanted to mention that the vedas are not the most ancient texts, that would be the Atra Hasis and the Enuma Elish, Babylonian cuneiform text written on ancient clay tablets circa at probably 2nd millennium BC, that tell the true story of our creation and destruction (flood) by the Annunaki.

Thank you so much Dr. Swart for being brave enough to say things that many scientists wouldn't. It's so important! My degrees are in biology, ecology and behavior and I worked at university for a few years during grad school so I understand the pressures. But I'm also way into the "woowoo" stuff the older I get (I'm 55 now) and the more personal experiences I've had. I had an out-of-body experience when I was 19 which only made me even more interested in these topics but I was afraid to pursue it too much and always kept things in check back then, during college especially. But I absolutely believe consciousness is outside the body. In fact, when I was 3 or 4 years old, I remembering wondering why I was in this body vs another body. I took it as obvious that I was not my body but instead was consciousness inhabiting my body. Fortunately I had parents with loving and open minds so they never made me shut down those parts of myself.
Anyway, on a different note, I think Tara might be an INTJ! Explains why she is brave enough to speak about these things and also why she identifies as an intuitive with logic and needs to work on her emotion and sensory. That's the story of my life Tara. I hear you! I'm 55, INTJ and working on those things as well. I watch a LOT of these types of interviews, not just on your channel but many others as well, regularly, and this is one of the MOST FASCINATING interviews I've seen. The information that Dr. Swart shares is absolutely wonderful and exciting and encouraging! After hearing the part where she talked about how our subconscious beliefs determine if we feel worthy or not to manifest our desires hit home with me and a memory popped up in association with something I've always struggled with and it hit me hard. I got emotional and yet it seemed so obvious once I connected the dots. I don't know that I'd have made that connection if it weren't for hearing Tara say that.
I was also fascinated by the realization that the brain is doing actual physical work that makes you tired when you're building new pathways. I have experienced this and this is so intuitively accurate to me. Also, my mother always told me as a kid that mental work affects you physically as well. I'm in the middle working on a passion project that I've been working on for several years and I can FEEL it about to pop! It's getting so close. I've been feeling so much anticipation lately because it feels so close. So it was gratifying to hear her words supporting that. I'm super grateful to her for that and for her work. I also adore Carl Jung and am extremely into the MBTI and have read some of his works. So, I've just been loving this entire conversation. Thank you again!

Those choices cost me but eventually led me to a spiritual experience where I was enveloped in love and bright white light. There is so much to unpack here. I was in my car waiting for my daughter to get out of her college class for the day and decided i needed a good ole dose of Abraham Hicks. After listening to Abraham this show automatically popped up. I Loved listening to every minute of it. Some of it i thought "yes yes that is common sense". But then again not everyone grew up with a mum that is very connected with self. I also have 2 sisters and the BOTH of them experienced out of body. One sister experienced it at a college party. She was sitting at the party and literally left her body, saw herself sitting in the chair at this party and HATED IT. She said i never want to do that again! My other sister left her body during bedtime. She went to visit her friend. I personally have not left my body. I BELIEVE i can CHOOSE to do this. I mean i know i can. But i choose NOT to do it. I told my mum im too scared i wont come back. She told me not to be afraid and taught me how to come back. I think we just automatically come back. Lastly i have a dear friend that was on the operating table and she left her body. She saw herself laying in the bed.

Thank you both, food for thought. Three points: 1) when it comes to important decisions, the main point of a book I read (Think fast and slow) is that we need to (stop and find ways to) connect our subconscious to our conscious hence think slow and make sure we are taking into account many aspects of something we are interested in. For anything else it is just fine to follow our instinct/ subconscious/ gut feeling/ innate voice. I see that Tara mentioned that for important things she would follow her intuition/ gut feeling. I am more inclined to thinking the other way round as I pointed out, especially because our gut feeling may be biased for an indefinite number of reasons. 2) You both state "bringing from unconscious to conscious whatever is holding you back": I see this as making a conscious effort to establish a connection with whatever is embedded in our brain in order to bring it up and be finally aware that something was holding you back (from unconscious ignorance to conscious awareness). 3) Any wiring / synapse in our brain is the result of millions of repetitions, any rewiring require millions of repetitions of a new way we want to acquire in order to establish a new pattern/ habit.

It's interesting how when you listen to something so profound, natural knowledge, or innate knowledge is triggered in your mind. Which proves that we have all the knowledge within us. How spectacular it is when The Source brings those thoughts into your Universe, at the gradient that is necessary to go to that next step to take you, through your life as a human. Also that manifesting is just a thought that you are thinking, that small still voice, that will come true! And practice listening to that voice and turn it up so you can hear it more clearly. And if you can cultivate and see those thoughts as things they will come into being. And noticing the things that you are thinking is the key to it all!

As a former nhs nurse, I think Dr. Tara is so brave to say that she believes in consciousness outside of the body and I completely agree with her. I think this is an area where neuroscience should work with other sciences, like physics. I never forgot my pathology lab teacher at UEA, where we were dissecting a human brain asking us "where does that energy go, after we die?" Well, the laws of physics teach us that energy can not be created, or destroyed, it can only be transformed, so I do believe consciousness does transcend the physical body... thank you for a fascinating film!

I appreciate the rational discussion of this topic, at least as rational as Ive heard yet. Here’s how I see it at this point, we, each individual person, are 3 separate entities, the thinking entity, the physical entity, and the spiritual entity. The spiritual entity, in my opinion, is the most important, the core, of which it is and what we really are. It is the identity you want to focus on in meditation. It is non thinking and non physical, if you can wrap your head around that. In meditation we want to separate from the thoughts and the physical meat suit to get to the spirit. The spirit resides in the void between space and time. It is everywhere and nowhere and always there.
If you want to manifest something, anything, you have to get your thoughts and your meat suit on the same page. Thoughts are simple, think a thought and there it is. The meat suit, on the other hand, needs to perform arduous, physical activities to bring those thoughts into the material world.
Funny thing about the spiritual entity, it doesn’t care what exists in the material world, the material world doesn’t matter, it’s little more than a tragic love story and a sci-fi horror show being played out in a television sitcom, pure entertainment.
Be careful diving to deep into this stuff, you may find it anti climactic.
A few years ago my wife blurted out a statement:
    “There’s got to be more
    to life than this”
    I responded:
    “No, there’s not. Consider
    yourself lucky, you’re
    livin the dream”
20th century poet/musician Jackson Browne penned it in the mid 1970’s.
    He wrote:
    “I’m gonna build myself a
house in the shade of a
    freeway.
    I’m gonna pack my
    lunch in the mornin,
    and go to work each
    day.
    And when the evenin
    rolls around,
I’ll go on home and lay
    my body down.
    And when the mornin
    light comes streaming
    in,
I’ll get up and do it
    again.
    Amen.”

My grandmother has 15 grandchildren, but I was the only grandchild at her deathbed. Maybe it was just a dream, but I love that he shared his vision with me (even with the words "you may think I'm crazy but..." :-) ). I imagine now that she is still close to me.

the gap between being and becoming is also the only source of happiness- being in pursuit of one’s dreams doesn’t have to be bad as long as you’re moving in that direction

I found the information about wisdom being pushed into both the spinal cord and gut very interesting. Like Dr Swart said, intuition can be described as a gut feeling, but the revelation about wisdom being pushed down into the spinal cord instantly made me think of a kundlini awakening- energy travelling up the spine once awakened and tapped into. Fascinating episode!

This is my first time learning about either of you. It was an exceptionally well done interview. The ease and comfort with which Tara expresses these complicated ideas makes it so easy to become involved in the concepts.

Most of what I’ve put on my vision board has come to fruition. Manifestation is a real thing.

This video has helped me more than i thought it would. I have been struggling for a while due to ADHD and Autism and mental health too. I feel like its pointed me in the right direction and given me ideas, tips and advice on how best to start uncovering what my issues are and why. Where to look and how to start the process. Iv worked so much on myself already but my brain still wants to think negatively and my anxiety thought process always ends up coming back. So i need to work out why that is and the root cause. I do have childhood trauma i'm sure, and also many other traumas that have happened in my life. So therapy and counselling i think i may need to consider, even though that is hard for me because of autism.
My son has ADHD and Autism too and its so hard to get a diagnosis and help and support now. I hate the world we live in at times, i think schools, institutions, and LA's can have a huge negative impact on people's mental health as they try to mould you to what they think you should be like in society, and act as if your struggles do not exist. I love videos like this and it helps me to realise greater minds are out there and provide so much information and help and guidance. It just makes me sad that the world and how it is run is such a mess. People get treated very badly also. Which does not help with mental health. It is possible to be strong enough to choose your own unique path though, arm yourself with knowledge and take care of yourself and block out things that are no good for you. Even though this was a long video and a challenge for me to watch because of focus, i enjoyed it and they communicated with eachother so well. Which i loved. Nice and relaxing and interesting. ❤

To overcome our negative beliefs that were pumped into us as children is number one to get over. Nueroplasticity proves that it is possible. Obviously, it depends on how sick you are of living in the past negativity. You sound very motivated. Good luck! Remember, it's up to YOU!

14:57.. not necessarily. I'm 52 and I still remember things I only did once when I was 5. When I was young, I could remember everything.. my mind wasn't as busy with life and problems then. My sister and I used to sit and see how many days we could remember correctly. She used to say she could remember every single day since she was in diapers. We both remembered things that shocked our mom. She thought we were too young to remember until we gave details.
Now I have trouble holding on to information if I don't use it for 2 months.
That's why I like listening to you tube channels about the Bible. There's a comments section where I can discuss and correct/ remind myself or others and keep the knowledge fresh.
