  • Hello Guys,
Doing some more setup on the TREX 760X and have a question about FBL movement with and without the motor running. I would not think there would be any difference, but I am seeing two different scenarios with and without the motor running. Thanks.

Nice that you god the problem solved.
And you have a very similar set up FBL and TX/RX as on my own MSH Protos 770.
I use a Spirti GT, FrSky Tandem X18SE but a TD-MX reciver, using the double band, as a safty.
Works great on the small reciver (1,5g) even got integration with the FBL setup and telemetry.
Do make some videos about the setup in Ethos, there's almost zero videos about that.
I also would love some vidz about the different Rescue and Stabi mode setups.
Kep 'em flying, and happy days.
    Greetings from Denmark.
Ohh, yes i did subscribe. 🙂

Thanks for subscribing and following along from Denmark! A place I would like to visit! I like the TD MX too, but I did not have one here, so just used the older R8 I had sitting in the box. I did purchase some camera setup items, so I can do some setup videos in Ethos and I would really like to make some more videos in the near future. Once we get back from our last holiday for the year and the weather starts to cool down, I will be in the shop/garage more often and have more content. I am building a 700E right now when I get the chance and that will be going into a Fusuno AS-350 scale fuselage. So, I should have some video on that soon. No setup video though, since I just cloned my 760X, since they are so close and have the same head speed setting. The 700E will be neat with the three-bladed head! Talk soon and thanks again!

Perfectly normal for the spirit to find center on the swash and tail.

Hello Gary, thanks for the comment. I agree, that is perfectly normal for the FBL to find center. However, when it was holding the input with the motor running, I was curious about that. As I thought about it more, the tail in heading hold mode does not return to center and it holds just fine, so it started making sense to me again. I might have been dense for a few minutes or just never noticed it! Thanks again Gary!

the servos are made from blue bird and are garbage. You might have a bad unit. I had a beastx do the same thing to me with the BK servos. I sent them back twice and got tired of them so I swapped them out and my problem went away.

That is certainly good to know. I had never had an issue with the BK servos in the past and the servos worked perfectly after I reinstalled the motor and ESC after check-out by Scorpion. The only thing I did differently was use one 1.00 mm shim in the correct location, instead of the two I was using to get better pinion-main gear alignment. But, I changed too many things at once and hard to pinpoint what was the smoking gun when it came to the servo jitters. I have since swapped out the servos to a set of ProModelers that I typically use and they are working perfectly as well now. Thanks for the comment!

Im so glad you my have found the problem. I know it can be a real pain to track down a problem like that. BK hobbies don't even fly BK servos, they know the problems that the servos have. I have seen a lot of helis go down from them. Keep it in the air. Good luck you have a good looking bird the wiring is very clean.

Thanks, I wish I could have definitively isolated the cause of the jitters. However, just glad to have the model back in the air and got two more flights on it yesterday, she is flying well now. Just have to work on cyclic deflection for hover and fine tune a few more parameters for the hover. Thanks for the comment!
