Operational test to show that the Scorpion Tribunus 14-300A ESC I have for sale is fully functional and works like it should. This was initially sold to a gentleman in Albuquerque, NM (rcalbuquerque on RC Groups) that claimed the unit was defective. He returned the unit and I refunded his money. However, as the video shows the unit is not defective and works like it should with zero issues. You...

Testing the Align 700E mechanics after fine tuning weight, spanwise CG, and tracking. These mechanics will be installed into a Fusuno 700 AS350 Air Zermatt. The changes look like they helped and the tracking looks good and vibration is almost zero. A little fine tuning left, but making progress.

Quick video demonstrating how to adjust gimble spring tension and swapping from ratchet to smooth throttle and adjusting throttle tension on your FrSKY X20S. I am still working on setting up a better filming area, so this is on my bench while holding the phone! I hope you find this helpful and if you have any other questions, please leave the comment below. Thanks for watching!
Roban Bell 412 800 Main Rotor Shaft Runout Check
Переглядів 3652 роки тому
I am in the process of getting the Roban Bell 412 mechanics ready to test fly and having some significant vibration issues that are noticeable without the main blades installed. When the main blades are installed, its significantly worse and the vibration shakes the helicopter enough that I don't even come up to idle 1 head speed of 1100. Actually, I never get above 35% throttle with main blade...

Airen 150 Break-in/Run 2.2 hours on the Hour Meter

Video of the Airen 150 during the break-in process. Engine run starts at 2.2 hours on the meter. I did not adjust the needle setting for the cooler temps and cut the video short to richen up both the low and high needles. Sorry for the upright video, I recorded this video with my I Phone and was filming in one hand and running the motor with the other. My elevation in Meridian, ID is 2,664' and...
Can’t wait to hear more about this. That may be the most organized kit I’ve ever seen!
Thanks for checking out the video and the comment. I agree it, is going to be a very nice build and I am waiting on a few more items and I will get started and I will post videos as I get it together from start to first flights and beyond. Thanks.
Thank you so much. It would have taken me forever to figure out which screws to tighten or loosen! Very useful video and clear. It would have been very easy if FRsky made those screws accessible without having to open the back of the radio. Especially on their latest models. But it was so easy with your video. I am coming from Spektrum and Futaba, and new to FRsky. The best gimbals I used in my 14 years flying was Futaba, so I managed to adjust my new FRsky to approximately the same feeling. Thougg I didn’t have a chance to experience other top tier radios like Jeti, powerbox or micado or their unjustified expensive receivers. So happy with the quality of FRsky RS.
Your more then welcome, I am glad the video was of some value. Thank you.
Thanks for the quick and decent video. Subscribed!
Thanks for the kinds words and subscribe! I really appreciate it. I look forward to making new video and just got my video editing software to start stepping it up! Thanks again!
Yup, swap it out. I had the same issue
Agree, swapped it out and all is good now! Been flying for awhile now with no vibration or issues. Thanks for the comment and sorry for the delay.
Just realized this post was way old! whoops
No worries!
Maybe you can add some washers to the blade bolt on the other side of the runout. I work on a real 412 epx that we have vibration analysis equipment, and it gives us corrections on lateral imbalance. with my rc heli i play with different weight washers on the blade bolts to see how it smooths out. Good luck
I ended up replacing the mainshaft and the problem was gone and the helicopter has been flying great without vibration or issues since. Thanks for the comment and sorry for the delay.
Just got my X20S, lovely radio. Only little gripes so far, my back cover screws are Torx (maybe a recent change) and the rudder stick tension Allen screw came stripped, so no adjustment possible, I'll just have to live with it. That said, I love the versatility of this radio. ❤
It is a really nice radio and you will enjoy it. I currently have a X20RS and X18SE and love the Ethos OS and FrSKY Ecosystem! If you do have issues like stripped screws, I would contact the vendor you got it from and have him replace the screws or you can replace them fairly easily. You should not have to live with defects on a new radio. Thanks and sorry for the delay replying.
Follow you.Thank you.
Thank you for following my channel!
Can you show us how to change from mode 2 to mode 1 pls
Thanks for the question. I can certainly create a video on it, but it will be on my X18SE, since I have switched from the X20 to the X18, feels better in my hands. Thanks.
Nice job wiring. On my Bronco all the batteries are under the canopy. Much much easier to remove for charging. Plus my cg needed some nose weight. I'll assume the owner is removing the center wing section for transporting. If so, then your wiring should be fine. Still...excellent job...very neat.
Hello Jim, thanks for the comment. Actually the rear dome/fairing has been designed and is quick release, so with the center wing section installed or the airplane fully assembled at the field, its less than a minute to access the batteries in the rear compartment. The owner plans on keeping the center wing installed and that was the design intent to have them accessed from the rear. Thanks.
Where did you source the 20 pin connectors??? Cant seem to find them. Extremely nice job, Well done
Thank you for the kind words. They are AMP D-3100 series connectors and pins, available from Newark Electronics
Nice Job Jason! I like your labels and connectors. You make it look easy.
Thank you, I appreciate the kinds words. More exciting things coming from the channel soon!
Great wiring. Mine has much much more connectors
Thanks, I try to use multipin connectors for to allow for quick setup at the field and for maintenance in the future. Plus it prevents making the wrong connection. Thanks again!
Just got the x20s. Which adjustment is the aileron and which is the elevator?
Aileron will be in the upper right and elevator will be lower left as viewed in the video. You can also move the stick and see which spring moves and then adjustment screw is to the top of the aileron and the left of elevator. I hope that helps. Thanks.
Thanks for the help. Should have thought of that!
Masterful job.
Thanks Robert!
Sweet. I have my 700, down from when it was an 800 with a custom MI-24 Hind fuselage. Still would have been fine had I not done some night flying for photos.
Thanks. I will get some better 4K 60FPS footage up soon. I want to get up and test some more, but the weather is not cooperating at the moment! The Mi-24 sounds really interesting. Do you have a link to any video of it? Thanks.
I don't know how to download any pics or video. But as a 700, I had a sweet Jet Ranger fuse on it- haha almost forgot- the front came off at spool-up and got oblitterated. Landed fine despite the shock.@@KelharDesigns
For those wanting to adjust throttle ratchet or smoothness, I have found that you must remove the cover. The access holes in the back of the case do not allow access to these screws.
Thanks for the update and clarification. I do not have the X20S here any longer and have switched to the Pro version and you just have to remove the small covers on each side to access.
hi there is a way to smooth the center postion of the aileron and elevator stick ?
My apologies for the last reply, I just noticed this. I am sure you have found and answer to your question. However, I wanted to ask if you talking about Expo and making the sticks less sensitive around center? Thanks.
@@KelharDesigns hi no, I meant to smooth the center of the stick to physically feel less “sharp” between inputs (elevator and aileron).
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I do not know how to adjust the physical feel between the elevator and aileron. I will look into it. Thanks.
Hi, good morning. Could you please tell me where I can download the 3D file to support the fans?
Hello, thanks for your question. I do not have the file posted to any 3D file repository. I may make the file available in the near future, but only for personal use. Thanks.
Magnífico 👏
Thanks, the helicopter is flying good and super stable. I hope to have some flight video of that very soon! All the best and talk soon!
I have the cgy750 and the 760 isnt that far off. Did you make sure you chose the correct swashplate config in the 760? Also make sure that follower is dead center of the rear swashplate ball link. When I did all of this on mine, I only had to phase -35 on my 750 unit under swash detail. keep us posted
Hello Edwin, I did confirm all settings for the 760 and I was able to get the phasing dialed-in after a few mechanical adjustments. However, I has sold the project and its with the new owner. I do have another project starting soon, once I get all the parts in, I will get started. I will be sharing the project on this channel with progress updates. Thanks,
@@KelharDesigns I hope it went.to a new home and your on a new project. Im completing my Vario Bk-117 projects. please check out the guys in scalerchelis...wealth of information..if you already hadnt. cheers
@@edwinthomas618 Really like the BK-117, I bet that is an awesome project. Yep, ScaleRCHelis is an great site, I have been a member since 2008 (Spookyeng). I am awaiting a few parts, but will be starting my 1/4 Vario Bell 206 Electric very soon!
How did the head phasing work out?
Hello Terrence. I have not had much time with the machine over the past month. However, I have done some tweaking and its getting better. Thanks
I’m interested in how you set up your head. I don’t like the multi blade PC/drive link set up on Roban heads.
@@terrencejackson4587 Sorry for the delay in my reply. I used turnbuckles from Gator RC and the stock ball links along with bicycle brake cable end caps for the ball link with lock nut. Thanks. There is a assembly thread on ScaleRChelis.com
Do not worry Jason open the needle because it's a bit slim and then you'll see that he'll turn very well. However, it is very regular even at a minimum and a good sound. Nice!!!
Thanks Luigi, I did richen up the high and low needles and it ran better after the video, just did not have time to take another video.
