  • There's one major habit that separates the best Destiny players from the rest of the pack: Playing With Intention. In this video, I do my best to explain the concepts that will make you a better player like having good crosshair placement, paying attention to sound cues, and exercising great movement ability. I also analyze professional CS:GO clips from Shroud and NiKo to see how we can learn from some of the best.

Simplified Version: Be Proactive NOT Reactive.
Instead of walking around a corner seeing somebody ADS and then fight, instead approach the corner like you already know the person is there, when you are playing a game think about what you would do if the roles were reversed, where would you be taking cover? Where would you be holding an angle from? once you figure that out you should pre aim/ pre fire. This is how you become a better player.
Movement should come naturally for example instead of walking around a corner slide around a corner that way if someone is holding that angle your character wont be at typical head level due to the slide.

Continue to evolve these concepts while maintaining the clean verbiage you present at the calm Pace you flow to with equal background music. Better explain the ever changing Destiny core mechanics and gameplay possibilities as the ever changing DESTINY Universe lives on. Continues to do so with each main sandbox and core gameplay changes. Everything you have said is something I am trying to master but because of my mental focus I tend to get lazy and start rushing into lanes to continue to enjoy what's going on but ultimately puts me down because of the win ration against said top players. It helps my rushing tactics in brute Force plays while being rushed but always ends the same. I noticed my level of skill is at peak after a game or two and can last hours but after a certain point, it's downhill. I am sure many fall in my category.

One of the most importsnt things: Being confident of your skills.
Many low level players get conered by aggressive playstyles or exotics/zoning, they lose their confidence and do more mistakes than ever, that way they lose and cant improve.

    •  4 роки тому +3

That's true. If I'm on a bad day and lacking self-confidence in general, I'm gonna be a shitty player, but if I'm ok with myself and confident of what I can do, I play, like, 100% better.

    • @imprxvised8219

He missed one major thing in this video. What alot of people dont realize, is the more you lose, the better you get. Each game you lose, you learn what you were doing wrong and it gives you a chance to see what people on the other team were doing that allowed them to beat said player. I'm a top teir halo player and I had to lose alot until I got to where I am now. You start figuring out what works and what doesn't and it allows you to learn what playstyles work best on different players, whether it's being hyper aggressive, passive aggressive, straight up passive etc. You also need to pay very close attention to what your team is doing and you have to stay relatively close to them. What I see with alot of players, and I am also guilty of it myself, is they separate from their team and either overextend or sit too far behind and it can really mess things up. Team shotting is also very crucial as well. It always helps to cut an angle to help out a teammate while keeping yourself out of sight so that you can quickly take out one enemy player, which allows your teammates to turn and focus on a guy charging you, and it can also open up an opportunity for your team to collapse on the other players. Map control is key for this to take place though. If your team doesn't have map control, it negates you from attempting a collapse on a player and makes it difficult to make a good play. You also need to have decent individual skill because there will also be times where you're stuck alone and will have to fight people off until you can get help, which is when game knowledge and map awareness comes into play. There's alot more I could talk about, but I've already taken enough time typing this down. Hopefully someone can take the time to read this and use it to get better along with the tips given in the video.

@@imprxvised8219 This is a good point. I want to add that your ability to manage tilt directly correlates to your ability to learn from mistakes and improve. The more you lose, the better you get *if* you can stay focused on improvement and not get tilted. A lot of people don't embrace that mindset though, it's always easier and more comfortable to blame shortcomings on external forces outside of your control.

The crosshair placement is called “centering” it’s a common term used throughout FPS games. You place your crosshair where a person could be that way in the case that there is a person there, all you have to do is aim in and shoot, instead of having to completely readjust your aim. Practice makes perfect. Great video 👍🏽

My first FPS that I properly played is destiny 1, I remember my first game of crucible, scared out of my mind. I was wondering what made them better than me, and after a few games I realised that they would strafe while shooting while i stood still and shot, after a few more games I incorporated strafing and shooting, and after that, started focusing more on accuracy and what guns work best on what maps and what shortcuts are the most popular or where campers are most common, after keeping all that in mind and using these things i went to 20-28 kills per game, nothing compared to streamers of course with their 40-50 kill games but its an improvement

Map awareness, teammate and opponent awareness, knowing how many bullets you have to avoid running out in a gun fight(especially special ammo), deciding when to use abilities to avoid wasting them, utilizing more dynamic movement, using the the radar to trick enemies and try to bait them. I Agree with everything you're saying, I've been playing since d1 beta and can say for a fact, anyone can be great at it this game if you want to be. Some people enjoy just being a casual player . Try and relate it to cooking, the more ingredients you have, the better the dish will taste! So the more factors you implement during your gameplay, regardless of skill, the better you will be. Granted, its not that simple and some things just take time and experience, but many if not most of these factors require zero skill at all! It's just the ability to be aware of them and use them to your advantage

Another tip that I often use is vertical space. For example this works great with shot gunners sliding around corners, jumping at the right moment and attacking from above is very unexpected because in the attackers mind they expect you to be on the ground. The split second it takes them to notice your whereabouts is enough to take them out. The second tip is known as "first shot". If your opponent has landed the first critical shot than 9 out of 10 times you will lose that fight, it is here you need to fall back on the tip mentioned in the video of using a fast and easy exit point.

I consider myself a decent player, nowhere near sweatlord levels. My self criticisms are mainly on my Pre-Aim, it's trash tbh cause I'm mainly a rusher and I get bored exceedingly fast if I'm stuck still for more than a few seconds at a time. I'd rather lose an engagement so long as I have fun doing dumb shit than win and be bored. and I also play all games with no audio even though I have good map, spawn, and enemy movement prediction. I often die to this annoying double peek strat because I don't have sound on so I can't hear the noise of the jetpacks/jumps. I guess I'll work on my Pre-Aim, I understand the concept but it's just boring to have to wait so I just push, and suspiciously it's always the exact second I get bored and push that they "magically" pop out and one shot me with a sniper or arbalest (even if I make myself wait longer than a few seconds).

Bigdude0444 sound cues in destiny 2 are extremely important, let’s say an opponent is behind a corner near you and you see in the chat he just shotgunned an opponent, you would know that this is a dangerous situation based on the kill feed alone, but what if he missed his first shot and had just spawned in? Then you would know you could push in and get the kill without being in any danger, also spectral blades is invisible so it doesn’t show up on the radar, have the sound on and you can hear it approaching and maybe be able to teamkill it

pre-aiming is the single biggest boost you can get...but it ties directly into map knowledge: knowing the maps and where people are going to be is crucial to executing effective pre-aiming. I first learned about this when watching someone's video about how to get more no-scopes in Halo...but even once you get this down, skilled PVP players are insane at how they can throw you off by their positioning being just slightly off from what you'd anticipated.
