"Some motherf*ckers always tryin to ice skate uphill." The fight scenes, Blade's sassiness, and amazing villains like Nuada made the movies so memorable.
Wesley Snipes' portrayal of Blade was fantastic. The first movie is till one of my favorites. RDJ as Iron man is up there, but I also feel like Chadwick Boseman did a wonderful job portraying T'challa.
I think it’s gonna be tough to top Wesley Snipes but only from the movies where he actually gave a crap which was the first and second. For the villain, Ian McKellen as Magneto brought something amazing to the role. So far removed from the comics in terms of appearance, but he was phenomenal. All-around character from comics to film, J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson is impossible to outperform. He became the character for well over 20 years.
This figure looks like Wesley Snipes which means that he did such a good job as the character that it made an imprint on me as far as anything Blade or Wesley looked so much like the original comic character that he was cast perfectly. I hate his ego and IRS troubles burned his Hollywood beidges.
I find it weird that Marvel Legends collectors would complain about this figure but not much worse ones that Hasbro has put out. Personally, when they announced this one I felt pretty excited. It has some good sculpt and a face that actually matches the personality of the character. I still have to get one myself, but your review pretty much confirms my initial reaction
Thanks, Anthony! The chocolate covered carrot sticks line got me good! Well done, sir. I preordered this figure, canceled the preorder in favor of another figure, and now just because of your review I think I may ditch the other figure and get this one instead AND finally watch the Wesley Snipes Blade films (because I haven’t yet 🥴). Stellar job as always, sir.

Chocolate carrots! 😆 Love it (the photo slayed me). I was gonna pass on this, may pick him up now. Also: Blade (the movie) does not get the respect it deserves! It basically kick-started (for better or worse) the modern era of comic book movies. Being able to take off the jacket is a Godsend. That to me was the biggest issue due to it restricting articulation. Removed it and replaced it was a badass cloth jacket. Figure went up 10 notches.
as someone who primarily collects GI Joe Classified, it still seems off to always say "this is good for Hasbro" when Classified has been regularly doing much better than MLs. It would be like comparing every Sonic game as "this is as good as SEGA games get" while ignoring the Yakuza franchise.
I love the "hater" rant in the beginning. i'm constantly having to explain this same thing just because im crucial on some figures doesn't mean I hate everything, I just want better for everyone.
I thought that I would have issue with the arms not going down to his side, but I have him posed with his Mac 10 Gun and his sword in "action" and because of his angry face that's the only position I'll have him so he looks badass. I swapped out his hands for some gloves and gave him a holster to keep the Marvel Select Blade Glaives. Overall I'm happy with it, looking to give him Mezco's Blade jacket soon.
So happy you didn’t apologize for saying chocolate covered carrots… that was great. Btw, I found Darwin at Ross for $5.99 which is an appropriate price, I think.
Wesley Snipes like Robert Downy jr and J.K. Simmons nailed his character, hands down. I'm happy with the figure although I can't get the scene from "A Christmas Story" out of my head. Its Blade, Ralphie's little brother. "I can't put my arms down."

Love Blade, looking forward to the movie but I don't have high hopes. This was my first figure for the character and therefore I love it even if a little flawed.
Even that toybiz wesley snipes is a good figure for me
This is probably the most excited I’ve been for a Hasbro ML release👍See what happens when you use your budget MEANINGFULLY, Hasbro??
Does the old hasbro Blade's head fit on this body?
Someone in the comments said they can be swappable
For best live action movie portrayals, I would say Wilem Dafoes Green Goblin, and JK Simmons J Jonah Jameson.
I knew this day would come 😮
Have to agree, I thought the figure wasn't that bad either. To each their own.
I think that's Paladin's torso repainted.
could be... or the other blade figure...which might be paladin also.
You lost me on the chocolate covered carrots 😂😂
You have and old ToyBiz Blade figure that you reviewed a while ago, that one is absolutely perfect, anything that came after that should be considered crap, which this figure is.
What do you think of the new SHF Gohan that just got announced? Any chance you'd do a video on it and other stuff that will be announced soon?
looks good. i might
My only real issue with the figure is the fact that he’s screaming all the time. If he came with a neutral or even a scowl head sculpt as an accessory this would be perfect for a legends figure
This might be out of context but what do you think about the new sh figurarts Gohan??
"Chocolate covered carrots" 😂
It doesn't pose very well, but it looks radical.
I bought bother Marvel Legends Blade so I could mix and match parts.
See the mouth open annoyed me, so I the flat top onto the bald Blade head.
Reaffirms my plan to just get this guy out of the wave.
The wrong hinge on the grip hands is my biggest gripe.
