- A Down's Syndrome lad is living his 'dream' after a kind-hearted building firm took him on - as an apprentice scaffolder. Todd Scanlon, 29, has been employed on a permanent, part-time basis by Coles Scaffolding Contractors Ltd., working for them two full days-a-week. Todd had "begged" scaffold company owner Martyn Coles, 35, for a job for the last two years. And Martyn, who has run the scaffolding company, based in Swindon, Wilts., for the last five years, has said Todd's disability is not holding him back.
Absolutely brilliant, well done to martyn for giving Todd a chance and appreciating Todd as a good working man.
God bless you Todd Scanlon and your excellent work

Why would you hire someone like that? He is a liability for insurance purposes!! But on the flip side if he falls from the scaffolding not like he lose anymore braincells
That's a disgusting comment, the lads trying his hardest making a living and people always have to make comments like this. Honestly reconsider writing crap on the Internet, can you imagine how he or his family would feel reading this. All the best to him
@@biblicalchief2374 I couldn't give two fucks
@@biblicalchief2374 I don't care if him or his family read my comment
@@knight-pg8gk your a big man, insulting someone who you don't know or have never met from behind your keyboard in the safety of your parents basement aren't you.....
@@mattgray871 in the safety of my parents basement?? Dude I am 38 years old and certainly not living with my parents. Married with 3 kids! And I will type what the fuck I want. It's called freedom of speech! And I know I for one would never employ a person like this. As they are an insurance risk. Plus the fact I have no time for the mentally feeble as I think they should all be euthanized they serve no purpose in society other than claiming state benefits which as a tax payer think could be spent on more important things. Don't you think 🤔
Good man we all need a chance in life and the lad looks made up 👍👍
