God, I really hope Coruscant will be an actual explorable planet and not just an on-rail section like Bracca in the first one
For real it's the best planet I've ever seen in all of star wars
Imagine for a moment going around and exploring the dirty underbelly of Coruscant. The atmosphere and the lighting down there are insane.
Why would coruscant be in this game, this game should lean more into the OG Trilogy.
@@sosamanotf642 it shouldn't do anything. It will be what the Devs want it to be. As for Coruscant's importance, it is the place where the Republic and senate are which do tie in to the original trilogy.
@@dimitriskastros398 I find it really hard for any Jedi to actually be in Coruscant, it's pretty much the Empire's Capital, although it would be a great set piece if they manage to make it make sense. Besides, Cal has already been in some notorious places, like Ilum (Starkiller Base) and Fortress Inquisitorius, so anything's possible. It could, however, just be another underground city, the galaxy is full of those.
The ancient hilt (Kylo Ren hilt) looks like it might be for a slow+strong attack style as seen in the trailer when taking out those droids at the end. Maybe the blaster item (slot?) is for your new merc companion who happens to be using a single blaster in the trailer.
It's possible the bacta tank dude might be a misdirect maybe you and him have a similar goal such as disrupting or bringing the empire down but have 2 different ideologies to guide how you might get that to that goal.
There's also a grapple gun/hook!
In the trailer you can also see a blaster on Cals hip, and the merc is dual wielding blasters. Maybe I misinterpreted your comment though.
Looking at the scenes aswell, Cal modified his saber to function the same as Ventress's sabers.
Major expansion to split lightsaber, but also entirely replacing it by dual wielding with how obvious the likelihood is.
With the style switching moves from the first game returning as just a mechanic in the combat system more likely.
For a split second in the trailer you could see the Bacta tank person seemingly talking with the bounty hunter that says “let’s show this Jedi why they should be dead”
It could also take a ghost of tsushima approach because there's enough styles where we can make something for it
Single blade: good damage good speed all around the one you use the most
Dual wielding: more defenses quicker tax for one target
Double-bladed: perfectly made for crowd control or taking on a horde of enemies
Crossguard: the embodiment of will smack you as hard as a ton of bricks
That's basically what I thought too. I'm gonna go for a purple crossguard lightsaber personally.

The Jedi franchise is going strong. Cal upgrading his lightsaber makes sense. So here me out:
Single blade: standard allround damage and speed good for 1v1
2) Double bladed: less damage but more speed good for crowd control
3) Dual Wielding: in between one and two more speed than single blade but more damage than the double
4) Crossguard: basically a block breaker for brutes and heavy enemies
Number 4 can also be the "Slow AF but will hit you like a truck"

this game looks amazing! my expectations are already high and yet they have made them rise even higher. They have maintained it seems all the good qualities of the last game and are improving on others.
Lightsaber forms better be here in full effect.
I think the person dressed in that Zefo-like attire that was next to Cere was Merrin.
The gameplay looks buttery smooth, I bet it will feel fantastic to play.
The trailer was great and got me excited. BUT I’ve not seen merrin yet, I really want her to be in the game I really liked her in the first game and her creepy green magic stuff
I wish they showed us a proper story trailer but that's probably coming soon. The gameplay they showcased actually looks very promising. It seems like the devs are addressing all the major problems I had with the first game. We're getting bigger and more unique locations, Cal can finally dual wield lightsabers, there are a lot new finishers, lightsaber has some utility outside of combat, we get a grapple hook so we can do away with those unrealistic random ropes in the world, we have a blaster that will hopefully offer cool combat scenarios and there are more force powers this time around. If devs took some inspiration from other games like God of War or Uncharted and didn't rush the production, we might have the new best Jedi game on our hands. Fallen Order was pretty good but I didn't feel like it topped Jedi Academy when it comes to the fantasy of being a Jedi.
Imagine the amount of force echos in the jedi temple at Coruscant. I would like to walk through it in the game.

I like it how Disney is embracing the planet Coruscant in all their new content. We got it in, Kenobi, Andor, & now we’re going to get it in Jedi Survivor
Respawn have knocked it out of the park yet again. Combat has more fluidity and real flair, including enhanced new force abilities cranking up the gameplay. Listening to our core feedback improving on every facet from Fallen Order, with more traversal ways to get around the world
I wouldn’t say all that without them showing full gameplay
From what I’ve seen it’s still clunky
But let’s hope they fix that

i think the planet cere is on is Bogano, it looks like her masters workshop
the planet that the last fight in the trailer shows appears to be bracca. it has both a cralped lukerhaulk (however you spell it) and a republic cruiser. the droids are likely just ones that were on the ships being scrapped.
I didn't expect this many new things, but I'll take it.

I kinda hoped there would be speculation on who that character is that's wielding a lightsaber at the beginning of the trailer. The person with the helmet that's fighting Cal and I can't tell if it's a red or orange saber.
It's Orange and I believe it will be the person Cal rescues from the batch tank.
so remember that bounty hunter game that turned into a boba fett game that never got released, they had a part of coruscant that was like a city under the city that was like the criminal underworld and that could explain why the sky looks like that

Now my only concern is the number of planets. The planets look like the boundaries were blown wide open but that limits the number of open world planets you can play on in an offline game. So I wonder if we are gonna get 5 like the first game or more. If we get the same number Id love a dlc where they do entire planets/worlds.
So like Yavin 4 would be a planet you could buy and it would have a whole story as well as all the stuff the other planets come with.
I know theyre will not do this but i really hope to see zeffo and other planets from previous game

First game is amazing, can’t wait to play this.
Also I think the jedi in the bacta tank and the similar looking guy with the bounty hunter are 2 different people and both him and cal are after the Bacta tank Jedi and that's where the bounty hunters come into play
One thing I noticed not talked about is that Cal has an Uncharted 4 style rope swing too now

This game looks amazing. I am curious what the story behind the B1 battle droids in this time of Star Wars is. I played through fallen order 3 times and then finally got bored. I won’t know what to do with myself it seems like the planets and exploration will be massive in survivor.
Go play rdr2 it’s the only game I’ve played since 2018 and still am playing everyday

How do you know there won't be an option like that and if there isn't just enjoy cutting up the Droids
No one mentions the guy Cal is dueling... Not sure who or what it is for sure. The thing that stood out to me the most was he had the exact same lightsaber hilt (Jaro Topal’s saber) and also orange color. My theory is these are half-assed Cal clones like in FU2 except these ones seem to have to have a full body suit to survive. Probably very poor in the force but decent at lightsaber combat and highly expendable because of their flaws. My guess is they were created by the imperial Pau’an that had Cal’s lightsaber, formed schematics, duplicated it and I’m guessing got a DNA sample from Cal somehow. Also thinking this Pau’an has personal interests in Cal and instead of reporting him to higher authorities or the Inquisitors he uses his own forces under his command to track him down. Also another interesting thing I found about the bacta tank guy is in the first trailer it was completely abandoned, filthy, overgrown with vines and such and Cal had NO beard. In this gameplay trailer the area looks more clear and Cal HAS a beard. I’m guessing he visits this guy multiple times while he’s in the tank.
One small detail that kinda made me happy was that that crossguard saber (yea it still is stupidy unpractical) has actually those small covers on the bottom so he does not cut his hand off in the heat of the battle (It still looks like he could accidentally stab himself with the crossguard, but it looks much more safer)
trailer didnt just exceed my expectations it absolutely shattered them, the hype behind this game is unreal
If the worlds are going to be bigger I hope they make a fast travel system. Maybe you could go from meditation point to meditation point.

I wonder if there will be a curved hilt and I notice that the cross guard can be a single hilt since it show the hilt long and when it dose a finisher is a single blade hilt
There's only a Crossguard option on one of Cal's Sabers, not both of them.
Btw, what if the blaster design is for the other guy, so we can customize the weapon of out friend?

I think that's Merrin in the scene with cere but the head dress she's wearing is covering her face, the skin tone matches and who else would cere have by her side that she could trust? Also since the last game it only makes sense she would stick with either Cal or Cere and they are making it seem as if Cal has been a lone wolf doing his thing so I think Cere took on Merrin as an apprentice
merrin has several tattoos on both her hands, and additionally this figure’s build is rather stocky and angular. merrin is also slimmer and has more waist and hip definition. so i don’t think it’s her tbh

I think Griese has decided to take a lower risk role and is maybe helping Cere maintain the archives as the risk of the front line where Cal does his thing had started to become too daunting for him as he’s gotten older. And I doubt it, but the reason for this decision of his might have been because of the death of Mirren, causing him too crash back down to earth and realise the danger they’re choosing to face. Especially considering he was the only one who isn’t force sensitive and is the least capable of protecting himself. I doubt they’ll have Mirren killed off between games though, maybe she could be captured. Or they could have her been killed, and we slowly learn the details of what took place that led to her death through playable flashback segments like the ones of order 66 in the first game. The loss of someone they cared for would be a good explanation for why Cal looks so troubled and is looking for unconventional options like turning too the guy in the bacta tank for help. Cere also looked like she wasn’t too cheerful in her appearance as well, so I think it’s plausible that Mirren was either captured and thought to be killed by the empire, or actually was killed
It’s strange to me at least that there’s all these new lightsaber and movement options options like you’d think they’d save so,e of this for a 3rd game I’m not complaining tho it looks amazing
Idrc tbh bc there’s other stuff they could do with the third game like ship battles and more legends force powers and lightsaber abilities and I’m sure there is a few more variations of lightsaber blades
I'm hoping that they keep making more games with Cal, but not too many. They could introduce a new character and then make Sequel games with them.

From what I can tell will be a bigger main area with more Enemies similar to you base planet in the first but much bigger and better traversal and enemies but the mission planets will be the more like first made a little bigger and there is nothing wrong with that
They need a good crafting system and items to collect. Companions to join your party etc, the groundwork is already laid out in so many existing games. The last game felt so freaking empty it was sad. Also this game is called survivor but I expect it to be nothing like a survival game title.

Prediction time: somehow, the mercenary guy with the blaster cal meets on coruscant will either be wounded or die soon after we meet him, then he passes the blaster to us to use for the rest of the game

I need to actually feel like a hidden Jedi, going around the underbelly of planets and underground hiding in plain sight, wearing cloaks etc things of that nature. The first game the trailer and monologues talk about staying hidden yet you barely do that at all.

That’s a good point, but given the way the Empire works I’d expect Bogano to be infested with Imperials.
@@TheOzzyJedi yes, but zeffo was also infested with imps because of the zeffo tombs. Plus I believe they would remain there because of the zeffonian artifacts. And they already have displaced the local population. The only important thing on bogano would be the vault, not much more. Cheers
