I’m getting Ghost of Tsushima vibes from the four stance types which you can seem to be able to switch to on the fly. Plus blaster as our range (bow I’m ghost) and force abilities on top of that (equivalent of ninja tools in ghost) The combat was already great in fallen order but if they’ve taken a few notes from ghost then this game is gonna play so damn well.
Ghost of Tsushima. Great game, beautiful graphics. Beat it in three days though and never played it again.

I love star wars Jedi fallen order and I'm excited for star wars Jedi survivor.
I mean is a good game but, I don’t want to sound like a psycho but I prefer when there is realism in video games, like dismemberment and stuff like that, the thing is like I grew up watching the 9 films and I loved the lightsabers combat and all that. I just don’t understand how they can be dismemberment for the creatures of the game but not in clones, Im not asking for gore like in other videogames, best example is starwars force unleashed 2. But yeah I don’t the will do that…
@@spideywesk1883 you should play jedi knight: outcast, and jedi knight: jedi academy, both have in depth lightsaber and force combat that seriously has no rival and hasn’t been outdone to this day, also if the early 2000s graphics put you off you can easily mod it using an online guide

Also, they're including battle droids in this game so we can actually dismember enemies like lightsabers should actually do. Shades of Prequel, methinks.

The cross guard saber looks more like a Broadsword, with how long the blade itself is, so am picturing it to be like the Giant's Knife from Ocarina of Time. Massive damage while lacking in defense.
Aren't cross-guards additions meant exactly for increasing defense? How is it a logical assumption to have defense drop in favor of strength instead of something more standard like speed?
@@Mk_Otaid Ok, defense and speed. If it takes longer for Cal to perform him swings and manoeuvres while using that style lightsaber, it'll leave him open for longer when fighting enemies. So it would be his slowest and strongest style of combat, if the others are focused on being an all-rounder, light and fast, and against multiple enemies. Slow and heavy would make sense for being able to break enemy guards and such.
THE CROS GUARD IS LITTEALY CREATED/INVETNED FOR ADDITIONAL DEFENSE ADN BEING ABLE TO PARY OR REDIRECT A COMMING ATTACK AND THEN COUNTERATTACK FOR MIT.
In the EU, there was a further variant of the crossguard saber with a single guard at an oblique angle. What makes this crossguard option in Jedi Survivor imo is the fact that it's just heavy broadsword slashes, not unlike what Form I Shii Cho already does amongst the 7 lightsaber forms.
Hope the meditation arena makes a comeback with more options like being able to have a boss as an ally fighting off waves of enemies together. Would be really cool.
It seems we'll be able to change the length of the lightsaber. If you look closely, you can see one of the dual lightsabers is shorter than the other, in the clip where he's deflecting blaster bolts, just like Ahsoka's lightsabers in clone wars season 7. Also, at the final clip with the crossguard lightsaber, I think it's slightly longer, not sure about this one though.
Lightsaber lengths do vary in canon for different reasons.
Cal’s dual lightsabers is more reminiscent of Ahsoka’s sabers in Clone Wars, Rebels, and Mando.
I don’t think we are able to change the lengths ourselves, I think it’s just part of using those types of Sabers.
That claymore lightsaber looks crazy. Plus natural force power evolution, should definitely be more powerful
Meh, those crossguards look way too goofy. Would've preferred had they adapted GoT's stance system by adapting it to the 7 lightsaber forms instead.

This was both insightful and amazing. The one thing the trailer doesn't show is the rest of the crew. Does that mean Cal and BD-1 are now on their own? That's something I would like to know if possible before the games release date. Keep me posted.

A paragraph on a retailer's website in my country said that part of Cal's mission in this game will be to 'reunite the crew of the Stinger Mantis', so I'm guessing that'll be the main plot for the first part of the game, or maybe for the whole thing.
@@alexolofsen2755 no it should be kept for the game the whole game is a story why keep a big detail or question over where the other characters are to be answered in a comic wouldn't be good

I like with the 'cross bladed' lightsaber they made an elongated hilt for the saber.
Me thinks it could be a two handed saber, like a Greatsword.
I hope the droids will have the same va as in clone wars and have the comic reliefs, that could be a nice touch

I think the force lift is similar to Jaro Tapal's in Order 66. Or a subbranch of his abilities.
Looking at the shots of both Cal igniting the crossguard lightsaber and the one when he clashes against his opponent's orange looking one, the adversary's lightsaber seems to have two folded pieces near the top emitter. I suspect that we will either obtain this saber for ourselves, or Cal will damage his in his fight with said adversary, defeat them still, and rebuild his with the parts from the adversary's orange saber
I am excited for survivor and agree with what he said about keeping the skills from the first game 🎮. The first one was amazing and also very challenging at times and the map in the first one was super hard to read, so I hope the 3d map is BETTER and has more info for us. Let's go :)

The idea of Kao possibly lifting up and opponent, causing the enemy to fire on the other enemies, it’s just like Yoda used in the clone wars. It would be really cool.

Force slow is technically a dark side ability so we have seen the use of dark side powers.
I thought Force Slow was a neutral thing?
I think cal is going to have 3 entirely different lightsabers based on how both duel sabers have solid clips on the bottom, and the long sword doesn't have a bottom ignition part. This means that by the end game, we will be equipping the duel sabers, the double saber, or the long saber. I like this because it means we have three different-looking sabers with different colors. Just a thought

And sadly, doesn't look like there's a stance system based on the 7 lightsaber forms. It's just single blade, dual (or Jar'Kai), saberstaff or crossguard (ughhh)

Hopefully they overhauled the level design and mapping systems. Trying to figure out where the hell to go at times was insanely difficult. Especially on that one planet with all of the religious cult members or whatever they were called.

I played this on the hardest level and it was tough but it was fun. Out of all the games it was hardest to beat.
I could live without the crossguard. Dual wielding could be cool but a saber staff I probably won’t use. If it comes to it, I have a design in mind from fallen order, but I’d prefer the fixed single saber over all

I'm hyped for this game. Played fallen order about 2 weeks ago and it made me watched the starwars films and series (I'm a late bloomer yes)
Shame that all you might have watched (besides the original 6 films) also the god-awful sequels and those mediocre Disney+ shows. I hope you'll consider looking for Expanded Universe (or Legends) comics and audiobooks. Republic, Legacy and Tales of the Jedi by Dark Horse comics are excellent.
