shipping an astron power supply and shipping a tube amplifier with many different components are worlds apart. This amplifier was bubble wrapped at least 6 inches all the way around, also with two layers of foam insulation, double boxed with more padding separating the boxes. 99% these amps have shipped without damage, unfortunately for whatever reason this one got a ding. No other damage was received cosmetically or internally. personally i've had two items get damaged in the 10 years i've been shipping. I'd say that's pretty good for someone that ships 50-60 packages daily.
@@Rooster_Radio oh I understand fully. Just astron power supplies are boat anchors and they never poke through being 50lsb no bent fins ect. Constructive criticism helps some people if their willing to take it 👍
@@Rooster_RadioAnyways great looking amp, ding and dents don't bother me unless its my classic car lol. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching your videos.
Too big for my antenna. Could run it on low and just idle it at around 1500 to 2000 peak and I could get away with it as long as I didn't keep keyed up too long. How much for it?
@@minibikemadman He probably wont do any multi tube 250b. He's done a good bit in the past, but the single 800 just makes more sense economically. As for getting it direct from him, 90% of the people that get his amps go through myself or Gump. The price doesn't change regardless. He doesn't do any shipping and neither do I when it comes to large amps. So if you wanted one it would need picked up. Any exchange of money doesn't go through me, but directly to him. When people have money in hand and are ready to make a payment against an amp I put them in contact with Grinder. He doesn't have much time for anything else. Not that he's a goodie two shoes or anything, actually a super humble guy, but he has a ton of business beyond amplifiers or anything radio related.
This one is available.

Everyone needs to see how astron power supplies are packaged. Bulletproof in my opinion.

How long are your jumpers
How can I get a 4cx800 like that
👍🏻
Does the builder have a website
No he doesn't have a website
That's okay I can still buy through you right
Yes
Is there a email for JTG?
No. He's a real busy guy that does a lot of f stuff beyond radio related, so he doesn't let his email or phone number circulate
@@Rooster_Radio ight i was looking to see on a 4cx250b box 2 or a 4 tube and see what it will cost. I want to get direct from him tho.

How much is it
Nice bro. What’s the max carrier for that amp?
I've seen them keyed at 2500 watts.
@@Rooster_Radio thanks bro.

1st
I need one with two tubes on it
cobra is covered cant breath
There's no "breathing" through a wood cabinet. The cobra 1000 doesn't have a vent across the top like a 2000
@@Rooster_Radio oh l thought it was a 2000 , man you boys got some heavy equip. Nice
Beautiful amp
