Still using the R1280T and they still do the job very well after 8 years of daily use. Also good job on the Skypad, have one myself and will never go back to cloth or plastic mousepads.
Sound tests sound great on my Edifier M60 speakers! xD I got these speakers a few days ago and I don't think I could ask for more for the money. Beautiful clean, detailed sound with a surprising amount of punch when the occasion demands it. The best PC speakers I've ever owned by a good margin. Definitely good enough to use as hi-fi speakers as long as your room isn't too big.
They look really good for their price! I love Edifier, and have bought a few over the years. I'm currently rocking the S2000 MKIII, but that's not something everyone can afford. The M60s look very reasonable, so I'll be suggesting that to people!
Out of all the ASIAN brands, I rate these guys as one of the best. great speakers - never had any fail so cant confirm if they look after you, but I buy from amazon and they normally would
These are actually one of their lower end speakers, and seem to just have less power, with a few less features over the high models. I agree, that top touch pad thing looks crap, but not critical
They are £700 now. My brother bought them for his kid, they are amazing speakers. quite powerful too,. wont fill a massive room, but fine for a bedroom or living room
Hear a lot of great things, would like to hear them first. Even buying them from amazon and returning them is a hassle as it took me 2 weeks last time to get my money bacx
It's a Corsair Platform 6 desk - I reviewed it a while ago. Here you go - www.kitguru.net/tech-news/featured-tech-reviews/mat-mynett/corsair-platform6-creator-edition-desk-review/ Mat
How do they compare to the Kanto Ora/Ora 4 ? Totally get it that the Kantos are in the next price range but they are around the same footprint in size.
@@KitGuruTech Yeah its a good screen, my mate has it. I. think id prefer a triple monitor setup, but for gaming a big curved one is good, and demands less power too
@@DavidLeBon-qq9vr I had triple monitors before switching to this setup - both work well. Playing games that support 32:9 properly is amazing though Mat
I thought I have a deja vu. But then Channel main page - Search - Edifier... no, it isn't me. Once a year there's that time when Edifier gets their promotion 🎄 See you next year, Edifier. Until then.
Why did you connect them via 3.5mm aux (analog) rather than via USB-C? I'm assuming the speaker converts the input to digital to apply EQ and other stuff..
I couldn't tell how good the speakers were when you miced them up because my speakers are c**p, guess I need to buy a pair of M60s and watch your video again then I will have a better idea.
They sometimes make things too complicated, this is a case to prove my point. great speakers, decent price and all ruined by a terrible interface on top of a speaker you cant actually see
I think these are good, but the 2000 or 3000 are the way to go, you can get them on sales, and the bass would be much better as the driver is bigger and better than this one
My creative speakers are dying, will look into these. ive had creative speakers die on me for a decade now and i keep buying them. I am clearly an idiot
i have edifier 1855DBs - the volume controls are completely different, but equally bad. Someone tell edifier to just put a vol/pwr knob on the front. A constant one too, not infinite scroll like the volume on mine.
It will be if its accurate. a lot of brands just make figures up and you end up with 20w when they say 200w. Edifier seem to have a good rep for delivering what they say
I remember back in the day PC manufacturers went a bit mad with RMS figures. You could get a set of desktop speakers with 8 million RMS or something like that.
@@MilicentBíchHà As far as I understood, the manufacturer positions them as "multimedia speakers". You can connect them to a phone or TV. They are sort of "all rounder" home speakers with the lates version of Bluetooth, which suit PC as well. For such purposes the price is kinda ok
Would I recommend these over the normal computer trash that is Creative and Logitech?. Yes. Would I replace my Edifier R1850DB speakers for them......Hell No. Give me outputs. Give me knobs and mostly give me speaker grills that will stop the debris finding its way into every nook and craney that you can see happening to these bad boys.
Z313 are good but they are logitech, they overrate their amplifiers massively. My own logitech were listed at 50 watts and they were not even close. Edifier I have heard and they are much more powerful and sound better. Edifier are one of the best in the PC audio sector. need to hear them
@@canarychrome7012 I like my logitech but the amplifier failed on mine after 16 months. Didnt even use them that much. I am looking a new set for a bedroom, might look into edifier.
I just looked up the product page, and there's absolutely no way they're better. They look like inexpensive beginner speakers for those who don't want to skimp out on their setup, but also not spend too much.

My thoughts exactly, I was blown away when I first turned them on. 9/10 in my opinion.
never had edifier, but heard good things from everyone who has them - good review mat !
Thanks!

I dont think anyone would argue edifier are great, they do speakers under 100 up to 800. and they do well in all their sectors
I've not heard a terrible product from them as of yet to be honest
Mat
Great review, cheers Mathew
Thanks
Nice price, might get a set in the new year. they seem quite popular on Amazon and in reviews.
What colour will you go for?
Mat
Good review Mat, these seem good, they are actually quite expensive for this market, but I think they seem good value
Thanks
I hear so much about Edifier all the time, need to try a set next time I buy new speakers
Worth a try 👍🏻
Really like that matte finish on these makes it look premium without being naff. Piano black looks cheap to me now and always attracts fingerprints.
Think the black and white version looks better than all black.
legit company -0=fantastic products - one of the best audio PC makers - they own stax too, legendary headphone maker
Wow they are really small.but kind of deep so thats creating the space for the extra bass. Nice design.
Yes bass is pretty good 👍🏻

Huge upgrade for me, coming from Logitech and creative before that. love these speakers. worked well
What colour did you get?
Mat
Their silkdome tweeters are pretty good for the money
The S3000MKII was my best buy of 2022 (I think it was 2022). best speakers I have owned, cost me around £600 at the time I think.

10:50 Switching modes didn't love very convenient though, with the controls being on the top and the speaker being tilted backwards..
Ah, you mentioned that a few minutes later.
Got Logitech Z2300 and Edifier R1280T speakers.
Hi Mat, any info on that desk of yours?
Really need a wide one like the one you have, thanks in advance.

You cannot skimp on speakers it's always worth spending a little extra and buying quality. They will usually last forever if you do.
100% agree - it's an area that people can sometimes overlook, but having good audio makes such a difference to anything you watch/play/listen to

I prefer the oak style look myself. black are not bad either. that is one hell of a monitor you got, what on earth is that monster?
Yeah the Oak do look pretty good in the pictures - they'd fit my setup well I think.

Why did you connect them via 3.5mm aux (analog) rather than via USB-C? I'm assuming the speaker converts the input to digital to apply EQ and other stuff..

That is some screen, holy crap batman
The body is not made of plastic. It is made of a kind of pressed wood powder called MDF.
I didn't say they were made out of plastic. I said they were coated in a soft touch plastic finish.
Mat
I wonder how these new speakers compare to Edifier MR4, they look very similar.
They sometimes make things too complicated, this is a case to prove my point. great speakers, decent price and all ruined by a terrible interface on top of a speaker you cant actually see
M60 or MR4 are better?
I'd rarely use those controls on top of the speaker would use everything from the PC instead.
If you were exclusively using them for PC audio then that makes perfect sense. Set them up and never touch the controls again
Mat
@@KitGuruTech Yeah that's the way to do it!

Much more expensive however.
Nice review - shame they didnt send the fake wood ones, always look nicer, is that MDF?
These look ok, prefer the wooden speakers, black like this looks a bit cheap and nasty
Seems weird they have the top panel doing different things depending what task you are trying to do over wireless or wired.

they look good, i dont like the top down interface at all, its shoddy
The white ones look like an NZXT product
They look bigger in the thumbnail, when you were holding them they look quite small.
They are quite small - but surprisingly powerful
Mat
The oak ones look best, even if its not real oak
Too bad it's not real oak. Wouldn't be that much to ask for them to use the real deal. How much more expensive can an oak plank really be???
I do like the company, I wouldnt go for these, they are too small. I would opt for their bigger physical models
I dont think that monitor you've got there is wide enough Mat.
I'll sort it next Black Friday 😂
