Paying wages is an obligation that arises from the voluntary act of offering employment to workers. I got pulled over by an idiot like that several years ago, simply because he thought I was driving a ringer. It was because the car resembled a VW Harlequin (remember them?). I'd replaced the wings and at least one door, all different colours, with the intention of giving it a total spray over at some point. I pointed out to him that nobody in their right mind would be trying to ring a ten year old car. The junior copper with that idiot was suitably unimpressed with his senior colleague.

Most Police Officers have an arrogant authoritarian stance when approaching road users and the public. They assume the stopped road user has committed a crime before even approaching and greeting (confronting) the road user. This attitude will make most law-abiding people feel frightened and defensive making them appear guilty of something. If only the Police Officers could remember they are just people, even after putting on the uniform. The public including stopped drivers would be more obliging if they were approached with a little less aggression their job would be so much easier. This Officer was clearly aggressive.

@Thomas Powell I have friends in the police force who have seen this video and have said he gave the force a really bad name . He's not a good officer and didn't handle the situation well at all . I also know on very good authority the matter is being looked into internally .

Always record or film police that stop you. Remain even-tempered and don't be rude or aggressive to them. Only provide your licence and confirm your identity, if and when required. These people are not your friends. Their job and their game is to discover and pin something on you, or someone close to you. Never engage in conversation. Anything you say; anything you show them; and any information you provide can and will be used against you.
