Ashley has performed with VoicePlay more than once- If I Were A Rich Man/Girl and Running Up That Hill, and several Minis- River, Your Turn To Role, and Surface Pressure (also from Encanto). She was introduced to VoicePlay through Cesar, and it's been great seeing her coming back. I agree- she's a fantastic vocalist. In her first collab with VoicePlay (If I Were A Rich Man/Girl) she performs an absolutely jaw-dropping run that made every single reactor stop and go back to hear it again. She can definitely hold her own with the vocal monsters in VoicePlay!

@@GOTGames If I Were A Rich Man/Girl was awesome. Voice Play are known as The Theater Kids of Acapella. You may also love Voice Plays medley of Queen songs called Queen In 5 Minutes. The story telling in this one is as amazing as their singing.
I love their storytelling and comedy in their videos. The Moana and Little Mermaid medleys are great from them as well

Also have never seen Encanto, didn't matter. It's Voiceplay! I learned a little about the movie from reactors. Voiceplay is so, so good. For more Ashley, watch their cover of Rich Man/Girl and Running Up That Hill made famous by the Netflix series Stranger Things.

Oh, I LOVE the Little Mermaid Medley! Try that one. And Encanto is really good, even for adults. You can hear more of Ashley in 'If I Were a Rich Man' by Voice Play where she stuns with a crazy run.

Encanto is a great Disney film. The songs are just amazing. But Voiceplay really took this song and made it their own. All the Encanto songs are amazing but I'd really recommend Surface Pressure, and The Family Madrigal. For another Voiceplay recommendation I'd suggest If I Were A Rich Man/Girl which is a version of the song from the musical Fiddler on the Roof (one of my favourite musicals).

YEEE-AAAYYYYY!!!! Another Voiceplay react! I am SO DOWN for this...
You need to see at least some of 'Encanto' (or even the original song of 'We Don't talk About Bruno') to 'get' a lot of the context of the video - and really appreciate the in-jokes! (i.e. Jeff is 'playing' the shapeshifter character, which is why he morphs into Ashley for that brief moment. 😁) It's one of the best Disney movies around at the moment, so you won't be disappointed. I actaully think Voiceplay's cover of the song is BETTER than the original, because in their version you can still hear ALL the individual vocals in the end part when they're all singing over each other, whereas in the Disney original it sounds kind of messy and incoherent (I'm hearing-impaired though, which might be why I find it worse, but even with people with 'normal' hearing have made the same comment, so...)
Voiceplay recently did another one with Ashley Diane - a cover of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill,' which was recently used in 'Stranger Things' (so the video has plenty of references from that show.) She's listed as many things - singer, actress, model, among other things - and yeah, she always does a quality collab with them!
Yes, the original is from the Disney movie 'Encanto'. (IMO , VP's version is better)

I am also in awe of Ashley’s incredible voice. She is also with them in their cover of “If I were a rich man/girl” from Fiddler on the Roof…and she’s incredible.

Mans is playing Camillo the shapeshifter from the movie, he looks like Bruno for his verse and steals Isabella's lines from her verse looking like her. That took me way too long to figure out. BTW that part had to be filmed in double speed and slowed down because the rose petals are heavy af and drop straight to the ground if not blasted at like Mach 69 speed. They had to lipsync twice as fast while standing under a leaf blower. Also listen closely to the BV's after the word "umbrella", that might be slightly illegal from a copyright standpoint but thankfully no one noticed. Geoff's rat shriek was super high but Layne decided to replace it with a stock goat bleat in post-production for the lulz. He did a really good one in the live version though

love your excitement, I watched Encanto after hearing this... it's def worth watching it has a fantastic moral... It was Ashley's idea for Geoff to take the 2nd part of her solo... Great sense of humour. Ashley also did "if I was a rich man/girl, Running up that hill, as well as some minis from the same film x You should def check out rich man/girl as well as Disney medleys

Before you watch the film Encanto, you might want to actually do reaction videos to the music of Encanto. The Family Madrigal, Surface Pressure, We Don't Talk About Bruno, What Else Can I Do, & Dos Oruguitas. Each song from the film is worth a reaction video, with the original arrangement.
BUT... if you don't want to pick up ALL of those songs, or if you want to watch ONE which will convince you of the worthiness of reacting to the rest, I'd say, "Surface Pressure" will be the one that will demonstrate the majesty of Lin Manuel Miranda's lyrics and musical stylings, which run throughout the whole film. And, to quote nearly every other stunned reactor's reaction to the song, "It slaps" and "It's got bars, man!" LOL
If you want your mind to implode, go check out “Carry On Wayward Son”…and since you like Ashley, their cover of “Running Up That Hill” is stunning.

As for a suggestion for another group, there is Voctave. They have really deep harmonies with their 11 voices. Disney Love Medley (featuring Kirsty from Pentatonix and her then-boyfriend) would be a good place to start.
Voiceplay's cover of Good 4 U recently was really well done, on par with the original.
Wicked medley is on fire.. I recommend it!

I can’t remember whether or not you’ve done Oogie Boogie. I’m pretty sure you have. But this one and that one are my favorite of their Disney medleys.
If you haven't seen VoicePlay's "Running Up That Hill" also has Ashley in it from 3 or 4 weeks ago. They also released "I Can't Make You Love Me" this weekend and it is gorgeous. I'd like to have your reaction to either or both of them. Geoff has also released a couple video solos: one is a cover of an Elvis song (Way Down) and lots of fun with him dressed as a custodian/janitor and dancing to the song. The other is a Game of Thrones low bass song "The Rains of Castamere".
Ashley was AWESOME in If I Were A Rich Man/Girl... you HAVE to watch that one.

I didn't see the movie but I heard parts of the songs being played. VoicePlay is so much better. Of course that includes Ashley. Her voice is fantastic! If you want to hear more of her with the guys she's done If I Were A Rich Man/Girl, Running Up That Hill and a couple of shorts Run Me Like A River and Critical Roll (I may have misspelled that).

I had to watch the movie after seeing this. My great nephew who is 4 was surprised that I never saw this movie. I bet you will watch this movie over and over with your boys. It is a great Disney movie.

Yeah, Encanto is kind of the new Frozen, the stand-out most-popular Disney movie for an entire generation of young kids, if you will. I haven't seen the movie myself (never saw Frozen either), but I'm peripherally _aware_ of it, because it is kind of a really super big deal in certain circles. This is probably the most popular song from the movie, although Surface Pressure is also a contender (and VP did a short of it).
And yeah, if you haven't seen their If I Were a Rich Man/Girl yet, you simply must.

Encanto is definitely worth watching. It's an animated children's movie, but I would definitely recommend it.
Geoff is playing Camilo the Shapeshifter hence why he shifts from Bruno to her and back again. Ashley was apparently ticked that Geoff only needed a shirt one size bigger than hers!

While this performance is great, I believe their best upgrade is "Enemy". Unfortunately Ashley is not in this one. They've recruited another great female vocalist, Alexa(who just won a U.S. singing competition). It even has choreography; which, I think is a first for Voice Play.
They’ve got a lot of choreography in “Boybands in 5 minutes”, which I find hilarious, as well as in “Cheerleader”, which is even funnier than Boybands imo 😂.
