Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play please please please you must do a reaction to Voice Plays cover of the Halo theme song from the Halo game. It has no words but only Voice Play can pull it off. The composer of the music said Voice Plays cover is better than his. You will love it.

I forgot to add Voice Plays cover of Creep. It will bring tears to your eyes. Cesar, the guy in the beginning & end knows how to reach deep down into your soul. It was Geoff's idea to use the mirror's. Also Geoff Castallucci's solo cover to Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. Geoff knocks it out of the ball park. Geoff usually clones himself 3 or 4 times to harmonize with himself. As with all of Voice Plays & Geoff's videos always wait until the credits stop rolling before stopping any of their videos. Sometimes they have a pause/blackout at the very end.

Geoff does not have the lowest voice, he goes toB0 with almost 5 octaves in his range. In my opinion, he has the smoothest, most resonant voice. Completely clear on every note. And, as you said, every one of them have great voices - wonderful
I highly recommend their two most recent, Creep and Drunken Sailor. And then watch for the new one in a week or two for Halloween.
Geoff's Halloween piece will be out about the same time frame!!

Voiceplay keeps raising the bar with every release. They're THE current acapella kings.
If you get a minute, you might enjoy a newer group called The Bass Gang. Yes, all four of the members are bass singers. They're kind of an acapella garage band. If you DO check them out, start with Emperor's New Clothes (their first release), but whatever you do... listen to Arabian Nights. It's their first major production and man... they blew it out of the water

The Bass in each A Cappella group has their own skills. As I understand it regarding Tim from Home Free and Geoff from Voiceplay (who have taught each other their skills as they're friends), Time has a deeper growl/fry note, but Geoff is the king of subharmonic notes which sound lower. But I may be wrong.

I enjoyed your reaction- thanks! Halloween is coming so you may want to react to more Voice Play as they have the best Halloween covers on the internet (based on the impression you did in the tavern, you would also love "Drunkin Sailor"). I think Geoff is lower now than he use to be as he has worked hard perfecting different techniques and is older now too.

Voiceplay's bass is called Geoff Castellucci (first name pronounced Jeff). I totally agree with you saying that his voice is the most recognizable out of all the well known acapella bass voices. He's also done plenty of solo stuff you could look into! I suggest taking a look at one of his latest songs 'I see Fire' and also a somewhat older one 'Far over the Misty Mountains Cold'

There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. Tim Foust from Home Free and Geoff Castalucci both have about the same ranges as far as how low they can go. I am not completely sure which one can go higher. I know it is very close. Either way they are both very gifted basses, and the groups are both incredible at what they do. I love them both and am so glad I don't have to choose. According to people who know these things, their range is the same but the way they voice those lower notes and higher notes is different so they sound different. Tim’s falsetto is really clear and sounds higher, and Geoff’s use of subharmonics sometimes gives it that weight that makes it seem deeper. I’m not an expert I’m just saying what I’ve read from several people who know these things.

You haven't done their version of _Valhalla_ _Calling_ yet, have you? Please do! As for who's the bassiest bass, I think quality matters more, and both Tim and Geoff have their own distinct tones and different areas where they use them best. There's a guy called Tim Storms who can sing much lower than either of them - he's a decent singer too, but Geoff and Tim Faust have the edge in quality IMO which is more important for everyday listening. Tim Foust of Home Free just might have the lowest bass vocals in a cappella, as far as I know. I do not know everything or everybody, of course, so I could easily be wrong.
If you have not yet checked it out, the guys were contacted by UbiSoft to do a song for a new Pirate themed video game (somebody at Ubi saw Home Free's Sea Shanty Medley from a couple of years ago and became a fan). The guys made a song with the same name as the video game, 'Skull And Bones'. Tim hits such LOW notes in that song, I got worried for his throat like something might be WRONG with him.
I really hope you will react to that one. There is a video for it that shows some gameplay and game engine stuff (the guys are not in the video, it's a lyric video with the game footage) but there is also a Live Stage performance of the song with all five guys on stage together at the same time (first time in a while, apparently). Whichever version you choose is fine with me, pretty cool either way. I'm actually hoping to see your reaction to both, if you can swing that... :)

I love this. Another you would enjoy is Halo theme (the composer of Halo Martin O'Donnell who watched this one with The Charismatic Voice commented that VoicePlay's was better than what he did). You will learn and see some video after the Halo theme from their high school days as well as the original members. Listen to it all and you will learn the heart of VoicePlay. Others you may enjoy for the October treats, In the Hall of the Mountain King, Hide and Seek with Lauren Paley the Stairwell Siren, Drunken Sailor, Grim Grinning Ghosts, This is Halloween, Oogie Boogie's Song, a couple of Geoff solos: The Monster Mash, Headless Horseman, Ghostriders in the Sky and one of my favorites, I See Fire from The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug. If you have not done them yet, do please react to Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins), Creep (Radiohead), their apocalyptic trilogy over a 3 yr period: Warriors (Imagine Dragons), Dream On (Aerosmith) and Seven Nation Army (White Stripes). I really love your full-bodied reaction to VoicePlay. It's a treat.

With spooky season upon us, I'd suggest you check out VoicePlay's cover of In the Hall of the Mountain King- trust me, even if you don't recognize the title, I promise you know this piece of music. It's phenomenal- VoicePlay doesn't sing a single word, but they still make this piece of classical music into an a cappella performance you simply must hear to believe. And the visuals! Don't even get me started on their incredible makeup and the cool video effects! But seriously, check it out, it's like nothing you've ever seen or heard before.

They did Halo which the game person seen and lots it but if do that watch after the song too, Omar who in this was on your version of The Voice also another one they had as a guest was on The Voice too Deejay Young did man in the Mirror also Christmas Chipmunks song. I love all their songs but I love Queen in 5 mins and Boy bands in 5 mins.

Tim can sing a half note lower than Geoff but he can't sing an understandable word that low whereas Geoff when he goes low is still clear and Smooth

If you want another amazing singer to react to, I reccomend Dan Vasc. He just recently uploaded his Version of "Amazing Grace" and... well let's just say I am not a religious person, but that song made me wanna pray!

Not sure if you've done it yet but, if not, try VoicePlay Hoogy boogy song, since you are asking how low Geoff can go.

I saw that you liked my KAITO vocaloid suggestions in the last vocaloid video. I'll just leave the original Japanese text for both of Bucchigiri-P's songs and you can just go back to look at the other suggestions. 😉 "白虎野の娘" and "しゃぼんのサラマンドラ". Also, if you want, you can also listen to "卑怯戦隊うろたんだー", official English translation "Urotander, Underhanded Rangers". Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. 😈

But…did you like it? Really not sure from your neutral reaction. 🤔😝
Why do I have the feeling we won’t have to ask you for VoicePlay anymore? 😁
I don’t know if you have seen it or not, but I think you’d love their version of Valhalla Calling. The song was inspired by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s another highly theatrical one.
Geoff and Tim are two of the best basses out there, IMO. There are UA-camrs that go lower, but they can’t hit the notes and generally souls like dying frogs.

My man, there is one thing I absolutely hate about you: when you speak, your voice comes out of the right headphone, making me feel like im deaf on the left ear or my headset is broken, and its driving me nuts. Have a great day.
