Finding freedom and happiness in Lisbon

After living in Asia for the last five years, I feel an immense amount of freedom and opportunity as a gay man in Lisbon (and Europe generally). In this video I talk about why I feel Europe is the best place to be and why I'm most likely finished with Bali and Asia at large.
My priority in life at this moment is to meet people: expand my social circle, date, fall in love, and build a real life. This wasn't possible for me in Asia but since coming back to Lisbon I feel that life has shifted for me in an extremely positive way.
I wanted to share these experiences if others are thinking about where they might want to live and what they might expect in similar places.

I felt the exact same way as a queer person living in Bali and places like Thailand, Mexico etc. Dating and being queer was rough for me for years as a digital nomad. I met my now partner during Covid while I was in Germany. We moved to Portugal last year (Ericeira, just north of Lisbon) and are absolutely loving it. So glad to hear you’re feeling great about your decision and are enjoying life!!
