I relate to your story so much. I come from a Pakistani Muslim family. I’m binge watching coming out story’s right now lol even though I don’t think I’ll ever be ready to come out to my family as they are super religious and stuff but this video really resonates with me and my experience especially with school and coming from a south Asian background and my religion. I’m glad your family were so accepting ❤️
I too come from a south Asian Muslim family.I'm an ex Muslim now and gay and nobody around me know anything about these. And yeah my mother is also super religious like you said about your family.
Calling yourself gay and Muslim is disgusting. To oppose Islam while calling yourself “gay” or “trans” etc is so disrespectful, especially after all the evidence in Islam completely AGAINST being part of lgbtq. The fact that your ignore countless quotes in the Quran (which you claim as your holy book, despite the fact that your are not truly Muslim) such as “you Lust after men instead of woman, shame on you” and a whole prophet (prophet Lut) opposing Islam, is you willing being blind towards the way of Islam and leading others to the wrong path with you. My bosses are muslim and I'm an lesbian American Christian and they have showed more love and kindness to me than the Christians have and they have also respected my faith and love for God no judgement. Goes to show that we never judge no one no matter sexual attraction, religion, beliefs. Much love from me to everyone tryna find acceptance and love
Probably because of the society that they live in.If the community around you is accepting,it influences others as well. But much love to them, only if everyone was like that the world would be such a better place
It's because u r not muslim, they r OK with it. If u were muslim and lesbian they would hate u, just ask them how they would treat their daughter or son if they turned out as homosexual. You know right in a few muslim countries, what the punishment for homosexuality is, according to shariah?
Thanks for making this video. Of course people will have thoughts. Saying “Allah created you this way” is a horrible and stupid excuse. you can use excuses like this to back yourself up now, but when you stand in front of Allah what will you say? All people have thought, such as drinking alcohol or doing drugs or even in your case being attracted towards same-sex, however it’s how we act upon them that matters. You can choose to act upon your thoughts that Satan gives you, or do what is said to do when Muslim and not. Your excuses are so horrible and show how stupid people like you are.😊

We forget that religions do not thrive unless they reflect the values and biases of the culture in which they hope to grow. they require a 'marketable' set of ideas in order to compete with preexisting religions and secular philosophies among the demographic they want to convert. It becomes a cycle where the pervading culture helps form the boundaries of the faith as expressed by religious literature and oral traditions, and the religion builds its 'fence' of values and beliefs that re-enforces those same boundaries it helped to codify. My point is that no organized religion that is centuries old is solely responsible for what stays in the fence, and what stays outside. Historical, economic, ethnic and political forces did their own number on a culture that is mirrored in those texts, and their interpretation, whether they get formal credit or not. Religion may have been used to defend and justify homophobia. But it was exploited to that end, to serve convenient secular, social and political purposes over the centuries as it developed. We can't centuries later compartmentalize how much blame each element that makes up cultural and institutionalized homophobia deserves.

Hi Sam, I can relate, as a 53 years old Irish gay man and an only child from a traditional Irish Catholic background in Rural Republic of Ireland where being gay in Rural Catholic Ireland was definitely a taboo and where one was told very forcefully by the Catholic Priests and the Nuns to “cop yourself on” accompanied by a good hard “clip across the ear” in the Irish village where I grew up in the 1970’s & 1980’s, as there was a belief that being gay could be beaten out of someone, where the Irish Police at that time would drag some people into the police station and give them a good hard kicking to “cure” them of being gay as in “gay bashing” - in the early days, it was not easy, even though I’d lived in Dublin for 3 years, but I eventually moved to Manchester 21 years ago and the relationship with my family in Rural Ireland was much improved in that time - although born into Vatican II, I became a Traditional Catholic 18 years ago after I returned to my Catholic faith (after encouragement from a Pakistani Muslim friend to do so), as I am also an Irish patriot and I’ve not had any real problems in these circles, as I’m fully out as gay to everyone - you might know that being Catholic is intertwined with Irish identity, as Oscar Wilde was an Irish gay man, as well as Sir Roger Casement (who took part in the fight for Irish freedom in the Easter Rising of 1916) - I’ve worked alongside both Indian and Pakistani Muslim people after I moved to Manchester in 2002 (as I’ve been in supermarket retailing for 30 years) - but you are also a very handsome looking young man (I’m probably way too old for you though 😂) - I note that you recorded this video during Covid which was a very difficult period for all of us, as even though I’ve always held an Irish passport, I was unable to visit family in Ireland from Dec 2019 - August 2022 due to Irish Covid restrictions which lasted far longer than the U.K. restrictions 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪❤️
I’ve been following your videos for some time now and I know a guy who’s Muslim and struggling with his older brother being gay. It’s harder amongst afghans. He has a gambling addiction and because of pride he won’t talk to his bro but he is also struggling with the distance and so he gambles to cope. I’ve tried so hard to talk to him and he just gets aggressive and emotional with me. I don’t know how else to help. Im just a women. Can you guys please talk to him about this. All this in acceptance is affecting my mental health and his. Btw his about to get engaged to someone else. He knows I know about her and I know all his problem she doesn’t know it like I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
He's gambling because his brother is gay?? Not to compare struggles but his brother who is LGBT+ Afghan is surely having the harder struggle. He needs to educate himself with positive sources asap to accept his brother.
I know his bro has it harder, and I feel like he needs to talk to positive, accepting people. His dad isn’t ok with it, that makes it hard. I know he wants clarity because he said that while he was having a melt down. He said there both stubborn and won’t talk. He then said my family dynamics are messed up. You deserve better. I know he wants unity But then he took money from me, and when I asked for it back because I live alone and need it, he yelled at me, put me down, told me to go, then said I deserve better. When I told him I’m trying to move on, he threatened to expose my nudes. I also recently found out I have a brain tumor, during all this and even after me telling him that, his still acting like this. Idk what to do or Who to turn to. So I ended up here
And Lot, who said to his nation 'Do you commit such indecency (sodemy) in a way that no one has preceded you in the worlds? You approach men lustfully instead of women. @@rabeafadily9505 i understand, i really do nothing is easy in this dunya. But just remember that after every hardship comes ease. Everything happens for a reason and god wouldn't be testing you if he knew you couldn't handle it. You can do this .
Thanks for sharing. Coming from a South Asian background too, I wonder whether your coming out affected how the community treated your parents. That's one of my main concerns - how my parents will be treated by the wider community.
Hi! Great question! Naturally there was some difference initially but there is no animosity at all now. I’ll explain further in my part 2 video 😁
@@samsoutlook Glad to know there's no animosity now. I have many relatives and I think that many will make comments/suggest treatments to my parents. I know my dad doesn't care at all what will others say, but I doubt my mom can handle the pressure. That's my main concern at the moment. Looking forward for part 2 =)
I am gay and Muslim and Allah created me that way. If I was meant to be straight he would have made me that way. That's my opinion anyway
YES to all of this! 🙌🏽
Disgusting.
Your excuses are so horrible and show how stupid people like you are.😊
Love is love 👬
I am a south Asian lesbian . When I came out to my parents, they totally rejected me .
And we’re supposed to do what about that?
UA-cam recommend me this vedio. I was like oh god! this guy is soooo cute and handsome at a same time. And believe me no exaggerating.
This video literally speaks to me
So happy that it does! 🙌🏽
Thank you so much im bisexual and muslim and I find it relatable even though I have a Christian mother I wouldn't totally understand, I recently converted to Islam
I’m happy you find it relatable. How’s your coming out journey been?

I never realted so much to a video ever in my life. All of the experiences you shared,i went through it and still am.I haven't come out yet, prolly won't anytime soon mainly because the country and environment I live in doing that could potentially be dangerous for me.But I am true to myself now,and accept myself for who I am.That I would say is an improvement as years prior I hated myself for something I had no control over..
Beautiful 😇😇😇
Thank you! ☺️

I'm going through exactly this rn, but the only difference is that I'm from a Pakistani background and I go to a mixed boys and girl school
Hope you’re managing to cope better than I did! Sending you lots of support if need be. If you’re not out already, you’ll definitely get there! We’re here for you 💪🏾
@@samsoutlook I kinda came out to my friends but they didnt accept me so I cut myself off from all of them
I've drawn 2 rainbow pictures but my family hasn't gotten the memo. Also, I think my sister already knows but I dont know why she hasn't asked me if I'm like this
I have cried myself to sleep 3 times in the past month
I don't think I'm ok
@@1vyKh4n cutting your friends off who don’t support you is worth it! You’ll be able to remove yourself from situations in which you aren’t valued. There will be people out there who want you to be your authentic self. Don’t give up! It’s a lot mentally to deal with but your identity is valid and if you accept yourself, the right people around you will accept you too.
@@samsoutlook thank you a lot, that's confounding to hear
Not long ago christians were in the same situation. Was a criminal offence until 1967 but the stigma still goes on and on.
It does go on and on and to an extent it will always be there. But as long as there’s some effort to fight the stigma, small steps can go a long way.
God say you shall not lie with a man with a woman / it is not your call god did not make you as u are you are the as of you Satan
22 & 7 to shirt means what? Non straights do exist in Indian culture of America. Even as when Indians where mostly living to the land. They existed.
You should do a ted talk. You have a unique situation and you are so well spoken... also sooo handsome lol, but that has nothing to do with anything.
Thank you! I’d love a ted talk. Editing helps me sound articulate but I appreciate the compliments nonetheless.
Hope you’re doing well Michael ☺️
And Lot, who said to his nation 'Do you commit such indecency (sodemy) in a way that no one has preceded you in the worlds? You approach men lustfully instead of women. Truly you are a nation who exceed (in sin) ; The only answer of his nation was : Expel them from your village, They are people who keep themselves purified; We saved him and all his family except his wife, who was made to remain, and we rained down upon them a rain. So look how was the end of the evildoers.

''as there was a belief that being gay could be beaten out of someone''
Wait, it's not true?
Oscar Wilde was not gay.
What an articulate, good looking lad. Hope he likes older white guys lol...😜
Thank you! And yes I do haha
Have you come across Amit and Aditya on youtube. They are out, married and embraced by their families.

You look so handsome and smart that it's hard to believe you are a gay, as against the common notion that gay mostly have feminine nature.
Hi! Thank you for the compliments, I appreciate it. Gay people are a multitude of valid traits and natures just like straight people too 😁

So I ended up here
Chickens and KFCs 🥰
