I, too, write in silence. However, I read back to myself what I have written to listen for the natural break in the lines. The rain helps to set the tone for the encounter.
(impromptu poems) hidden: some things are meant to be hidden, relics of the past buried in the dirt waiting to be unearthed, planets in space not yet in contact with the human race, there's something so intriguing (at least for me) about the unknown, the more i figure out the less i seem to figure out (if that made sense), it's humbling knowing i don't know everything. stranger: stranger, oh stranger, i might not know you and vice versa but seeing a smile from you as i pass you in the aisles of a store, or on the way to school from across the road makes me understand you a little bit more, thank you dear stranger, whoever you may be, for surviving the day to day, for getting through life one day and one, small, but important, step at a time. rain: growl, the thunder growls like a wild animal as the dark haze washes over the once blue sky now an endless stretch of grey, the warm air sinks as the cool air takes its place, splash, the first drop of heavy rain splashes against the pavement or my window, signaling the perfect company for writing or crocheting. harmonies: harmonies harmonize, that's what nature has always done, though now it's harder to notice due to the electric hum, i wish i knew what the world sounded like, (i don't), enjoy the small things, because you don't know what music they might bring until you listen to them. (hope you like these, i couldn't fall asleep as of posting this so i thought i'd share)
